I’m 6’3” and have 3 Exocets. The bounty hunter, sand trooper and the apocalyptic bronze. Love them because they’re flat, easy to carry in house and out.
Nice to see your faces again. Fun video - including knife discussion, playful banter, semi hidden “adult humor, and Star Wars?!! Are you kidding me? Awesome. 😎
Ohio knife laws changed on April 12th. Concealed knife carry is now legal. Autos are also now legal. Knives are no longer considered "deadly weapons" unless used as such. Love your vids! 😁
I’m glad I live in a state with Constitutional Carry and very freedom oriented knife laws. You can pretty much carry what you want as long as you’re not being an idiot while doing it.
They do some "distressed" models. I'll get a blue one eventually. I bought the black Exocet from Brad when they first came out but as soon as they came out with the ben blue one I sold it and exchanged it for the blue. I have med to large hands, long fingers. I still prefer the 85 over the Ultratech though. /shrug. Oh and, 2:54 . Thank you, for this. How you can keep a straight face is impressive. I don't care if you've been together for 20 years and used to it. I'm such a child. :(
I don't have any micro techs yet. My son has the ultratech and it's a sweet knife. The Exocet is really tempting! Currently my wife and I have some Kershaw Launches the 4 and the 11. We do have an automatic Ontario Strike Fighter which is pretty tactical. She is definitely looking for an OTF soon though!!
I got the exocet the day you did the first video on it I barely carry it though I prefer to edc the ultratech tanto or the combat troodon hellhound all purchased after watching your videos I guess I wanna be like you lol
I have the Bounty Hunter Exocet. Currently back at Microtech for service. I like the Exocet, it is fun. Wished I would have held out for the Sandtrooper. That one is sweet. I have medium sized hands. They do the distressed finish on other models. I have a UTX-85 with that finish, and you are right. It is sweet.
For me, the Ultratech is perfect size for me, got my first one in 2007, now I have 7 all together, including the Jedi Knight that my friend picked up for me at Blade Show . Awesome video, thanks for showing us those.
Back in the '80s I got a stuffed Ewok for Christmas and my sister (who had very little interest in Star Wars) got the girl Ewok. I now have both. Who doesn't love space bears? And here in Pennsylvania auto's, bali's and dagger's are legal to buy/own but illegal to carry. I carry an auto every now and then. And I also request a video from the two of you wearing sunglasses all the way through. Bonus points if Felix makes an appearance wearing sunglasses too. Lol
Love Microtech but for a “Her” EDC carry auto they can be picky and hard to deploy on occasion so I’d say a mini Infidel or yes the Exocet maybe. Cool Video Guys stay safe and Semper Fi.
We looked at the Bounty Hunter. It was the smallest one. Don't remember the model name other than it being the bounty hunter line. It seemed chunky in my hand. I wear a small/med glove in women's gloves.
I have each of the exact same ones you guys do. The BH edition is definitely cooler. I honestly don’t carry either as I like a longer blade and the Exocet is not great as a money clip.
Looking up the knife laws in European countries, I was actually surprised to find that there are quite a few that allow autos, including Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Finland, Lithuania, and I believe Sweden. You can own them in France and Italy but you can’t carry them. Of course, there are still a lot of restrictive places that don’t allow them like Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, and the king of the nanny states, the UK.
Right now there are only four or five remaining states where autos are totally banned (Washington and Hawaii are a couple of them). In New York, you can actually possess and carry an auto knife if you have a valid fishing, hunting and trapping license with the state. But, you can only carry and use the knife when you’re actively engaged in one of those activities. You technically can have them in New Jersey as long as you have an “explainable lawful purpose” for it. I guess that could mean keeping them as part of a collection or using them if you only have one hand. We can own them here in Pennsylvania as long as we have them for collecting purposes. We can’t carry them. Other than that, we can pretty much carry any other type of knife. You can own and carry any knife you want in Oregon, but I think only autos can’t be carried concealed. They can be carried openly, but not entirely sure how that would work.
I was thinking about the ORE thing too. Maybe wear it as a neck knife or wear it in a sheath on your belt as you would a Buck lockback or Swiss Army knife. Also, if it's not a "deep carry" clip and it's in your pocket like every other folder, IS it still concealed? I'm guessing it comes down to how cool/petty the LEO is and is it really worth the hassle and court appearance for them. Do they really care about OTFs and assisted to stop you? At the same time, I'd rather not deal with the headache or have a $250+ OTF (or any knife really) confiscated and pay more than that in fees and fines, just because an aggro cop is having a bad day and recognizes what you have peaking out. For the most part, if you aren't engaged in other dumb or reckless behavior I'd like to believe it's not that big of an issue.
I think they're both cool knives. I might get one of those just to carry my cash on it. Oh and in answer to your question bird, I have medium sized hands. Hey that was a good video. I gave you a like😁 I think my favorite knife for Carrying is the Czechoslovakian Mikov . Mine's got a yellow handle and I also have one with a white handle. And pocket clip. Awesome knives!
Hey guys I know this comment is coming through a bit late but I had a video suggestion! I was wondering if you'd do a video in the realm of can you get a good edc knife for under $30. Maybe set the criteria of what makes a good edc knife in your opinion, maybe things like blade length/shape, blade steel, weight and then make suggestions on what you think could be had for sub $30 that would be a good EDC as well as who X knife would be a good EDC for. I know in the budget video I said sub $100 but as Ive thought more about it I feel like the super budget space needs a good general round up as most people buying in that range are new to the hobby. Still loving the content and keep up the great work!
I think you need to take yours apart Frankie and do a Frankie custom out of it. You could call it the Frank weird Stein. Maybe even have the pocket clip custom engraved.
I live in Pennsylvania and it is illegal to have automatic knives. And dagger knives. And switchblade knives And brass knuckles. But you can conceal and carry a pocket knife with a blade up to 5 inches long.
There is no blade length limit in PA. At least not in the state law, some local jurisdictions may restrict length. You can own daggers, auto knives and brass knuckles as collector’s items in PA. Got to keep them at home with your displays.
@@BirdShotIV not at all, we carry whatever we want! I carried a sog tactical shovel I'm my back pocket at the airport yesterday. Not really but I prob could
Will you be making any more of these or any new version if you do let me know I want to be the first to get one Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Knife Blade HQ/Frankie & Bird Exclusive
In Ohio it's legal to own an auto knife but other than a handgun it's still illegal to concealed carry a 'pointed weapon' therefore making the law vague and arbitrary as far a law enforcement is concerned.
The law actually changed in Ohio earlier this year. I believe it’s okay to conceal carry autos now as long as they aren’t carried with the intent of being used as a weapon.
@@GBall_Vision True, ridiculous that we can open carry any firearm and conceal carry with a permit, but a knife opening with a button is somehow a super deadly threat to my well-being.
I'll take the axis or compression lock anyday over an OTF. Exotic materials and handle design are just as important as blade steel for me. Please dont kill me!
I like the double edge tiny microtech not a fan of that tanto though I dig the paint job more. My ultratech is in elmax I have tiny Freak hands 🙌🏻😢😅. I live in Massachusetts they are illegal here because this state sucks but they can get shipped here or you can just drive to Newhampshire I think they can charge u with a felony for carrying one though I’m sure more than 1/2 the time the cop just gets a cool knife though. So move to Massachusetts the taxes are high and you will have less rights 👍🏻
Autos are legal to carry in Illinois if you have a FOID card since late 2019. Single edge only, double edged blades are still a no-no. There a lot of restrictions as to where you can carry any knife. I am not an attorney, so please don’t take this as legal advice, do your research on knife laws in your community and use common sense.
$300 for such a knife seems a lot of money to me. It looks almost like a toy. But i am new in this field and have still to learn a lot. I checked the date just to be sure. But it's not April 1 yet.

I'm jealous! I wish I could have all these neat places to carry.
I have recently purchased my first Ultratech / Microtech because of you too 😁😉

As it should be, not “omg” I seen that knife carried by a thug in a 1980’s movie. That shouldn’t be allowed because it’s scary looking.
