The first race of the 2024 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series is now only a week away! The opening round of the year will take place at the ICONIC venue of Fort William 3-5 May. Race fans all over the world are on tender hooks as the fastest riders on Earth prepare to do battle once again.
More information about the full calendar can be found here. In the meantime, tune in as our roving reporter Josh Carlson and lead commentator Ric McLaughlin discuss the highlights of the season ahead. They caught up a few weeks ago at the UCI’s headquarters in Aigle, Switzerland.

The UCI Mountain Bike World Series unites mountain bike’s major formats under a single brand for the first time. The new UCI Mountain Bike World Series includes the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for Cross-country Olympic (XCO), Cross-country Short Track (XCC), Cross-country Marathon (XCM), Downhill (DHI), Enduro (EDR) and E-enduro (E-EDR).
Comprehensive coverage from the races captures the excitement through exclusive interviews, analysis, reactions and event highlights. In-between events and through the off-season there are regular features covering technical and rider-based topics. All embedded with the latest mountain bike action from the world's best riders.

Looks like the camera work hasn’t improved since last season 🙄. Can’t even get an interview right… clearly a taste of things to come this season. Didn’t think it could be as bad as last year
Looks like semi finals aren't available on RUclips this year. The UCI World Series page won't load either.

Yeah, this is all great but tell me WHERE can I watch the DH races?? GCN+ has stopped working. Discovery+ isnt available in France. What other options are there??
First time in 10+ years I won't be watching world cups live. They are making it too hard to watch racing now.
The sport is not big enough to do that.

Seriously disappointing vibes here Discovery. Also maybe share a schedule of exactly where/when viewers can watch the different DH events (Semis, Junior finals, etc) coverage? Or schedule these as Live upcoming videos on your RUclips account. Anything?
You aren't getting people excited with this! More track footage, audio of the bikes and music rather than listening to you two.
how about speaking the truth and telling what really went wrong and what things you want to do better. For a start it would be nice if there would be more natural singletrails at the enduro events. especially in leogang, saalbach. the bike park and riders there would also profit from some new built natural enduro trails.
Seperated in categories, race calender, team and rider changes, point system, sorted out, minmal graphics, DONE! it could be so easy! No, 35min of boring chaos with no informations....it's actually ridiculous, u guys literally not doing your job right.

Comment section is WILD! I do agree with the lack of excitement conveyed in the video prod. More downhill edit with their voice in the background would be nice. Also spend too long on each shot on the commentator.
Guys, make sure you spend 20 seconds on Enduro, all drab like. But then forth over moped enduro!
Enduro needs to actually be Enduro......Multi day multi stage events, and with stages with climbing; currently it's multi stage Downhill......
They almost canceled it so I'm just glad it's still there at this point.

Ric ruins the end of every race win, by repeating the riders name 8 times in 5 seconds. NOT NECESSARY!!! Honestly that is my only problem with Ric, other than that he does a great job. Please stop repeating their names like that , it is so cringeworthy!
