Lil Cease is such a cool guy! Just as the name he picked, cool, laid-back, having fun ... And super loyal, he played his position, no vanity, no envy. S/O to him and Talib for following that vibe and this great convo! Super dope 🏆🏆🏆
Ah man I love hearing these memory lane podcasts for Hip Hop. Lil Cease def deserves his flowers. Thanks for sharing your story, look 4ward to the doc and book. Props to People's Party!!
I want to thank Lil Cease for carrying Biggie legacy for so many years, it means the world for Hip Hop heads like me. And thank you Talib for providing space for artists to share their incredible stories! Just saw Talib performing with the band last Friday at Brooklyn Bowl, energy was unmatched! Thank you for your TALENT and LEADERSHIP!
Its great to see Cease still doing interviews and to see how far he came, thrived and survived in this industry. Also reconciling with Maino,Shyne,Kim and to a degree Jim Jones was something refreshing and unexpected
One thing about Cease is that he always embellish his age to make him seem like he was younger than he was. He wasn't no 13 or 14 when meeting Pac. He was a couple of years older than that. He does things like that in many interviews.
biggie and pac were cool in 91 to like 93, they beefed in 94-96. they were homeboys and pac used to hang with him on his block. they had mutual friends like stretch and the live squad, they made beats for nas and knew biggie too. the whole rap game was small then and no social media so people hung out more, especially those on the come up from the underground
I Never understand the part about him coming down the elevator when Pac is being robbed and says he went to get BiG and BiG never came back upstairs and they all got taken out front, so didnt Pac go up stairs and get off the elevator when everybody was standing around looking shocked to see him ?
the death of his best friend? It's not a strange thing to still be discussing. Have you ever lost your best friend? When did you stop talking about them?
People need to stop making these saaaame OLD, tired inquiries. I'm surprised that Talib stooped to asking about shit that we've beeeen knowing. I'm saying. Damn.
Thats the difference between 90s rap and this new "rap". Rappers like Cole and Kendrick say a lot of words fast and then rhyme at the end of the long ass line. It has no melody at all. Its wack. It takes the "flavour" out of Black Music.
So why are you even here then? Just don`t watch this interview. It`s for the people like me, who`s enjoying so much listening to this legendary stories!!
