Time for NORE to get his flowers 💐 he came aloooonnng ways.... Salute NORE! Drink Champs 💪🏾🥂🍾
Nore is 100% better in the guest seat than the host seat.. dope interview! 💪🏽
yep
Damn now I can hear BIG on T.O.N.Y now. That would've been crazy
nore never known to be the greatest lyricist but he had some of my fave punchlines..."just me and shorty,
late night in the park, and gettin so much brain i'm startin to feel smart"
Abstract flow very different style. Dumbed down and complex with an interesting rhyme patterns. Sometimes it worked incredibly especially early in his career and might have missed the mark in some people's opinions.
I wish he kept his old flow on his newer projects it's the only flow he sounds good on, if u've heard his newer songs u know what I mean
Talib’s memory is sharp. That’s what reading does for you. It is fundamental.
Nice to see Nore in a less-inebriated state lol. Talib really got him to dig deeper in his intelligence here. Something I’ve always known Nore encompasses, but he loves to always dumb himself down on, especially after just a few drinks. These two and Questlove Supreme are my top go-to podcasts. So we can easily say that this has been a long time comin!
Well said 👊🏾
Agreed. He’s obviously, as he’s admitted, dyslexic but he’s a smart dude.
Wow I've never seen inebriated spelled out before THANK YOU
Ok.....
With all the nice comments on here this the only one that gets a like from ya niggaz? Tall insultiN.o.R.e that's foul
Its good to see Nore not wasted and going deep in stories dope interview.
It's a fun one for sure!
This is the reason I rock with Talib, The People's Party is really about the people and the community we live in,
One of the best interviews. Nore sounds precise, introspective and honest. Good stuff Talib!!!
He sober. Thats why
Love NORE and all the other podcast
@hiphopanalyst nlll
Talib Kweli, I don't know if you read comments, but I want to thank you and give you props for this excellent interview with NORE. This is easily the best interview Nore has ever done.
Met Kwali in Kentucky Year's ago at a Talent Search! Spiritual Moment.
Don't forget to give respect to Combat Jack🎉 Reggie Osse was the originator of giving flowers on his podcast. R.I.P to that man. N.O.R.E and others followed that blueprint.
Nore is an overachiever and i couldn't be happier for him. His realness is what makes people gravitate to him and his platform. Hope he stays on the path toward greatness...
A billionaire is an over-achiever. Nore is merely succesful.
@@77CreationNo, not true. Overachieving is relative to the individual and where they've come from. Stop projecting your insecurities.
i think its flying to his head with this super hero shit. Dude also guarding hus homie diddy so i start to see cracks in his persona.
@@77Creationbillionaires don’t achieve they get others to achieve for them
He's a Virgo....just like Michael Jackson
1998 was my favorite year in hip hop as a 10 year old! Please understand Noreaga was a big part of that year in my Walkman we officially got introduced to Pharrell and at the time we still didn’t know if Pharrell would go on to be so great cause the moment was soooo good!!!
That's tight!
I thought Pharrel was introduced in 92 with that "zoom zoom in the boom boom" song?
@@IStevenSeagal Pharrell BEEN producing but “super thug” gave him a different type of look the hood was really tuned in as music started to change even down to mystikal “shake ya ass” all gave him a different shine where you had to take him serious
@@IStevenSeagalnobody knew who Pharrell was in ‘93.
HA! 1998 Nahhhhhhhhhhh it was over buy then dudeeeeeeee lol your like 40-43 then It was the beginning of the end in 96' - 98 after killa Army def. Dead in shyt AIGHT NOW< Bring in Project Pat and my 4 fif teens naga!
Talib be having the "Dreams and Nightmares" intros for the podcast world lol
Best NORE interview ever. Coming from Lefrak City, I’m truly inspired by NORE’s success and personal growth and I’m happy to see him happy 🍾
love this praise -- thanks so much!
Celebrate him bru thats a win for your hood even if he never gives back bec hes going to inspire the next
My intro to Nore was “Superthug”, because MTV Jams made it their intro song for a little while. A lot of mornings before and after school, Tammy Lucas singing “What, What, What Whaaatt, Whaaat, What, What” was ingrained in my brain at the age of 14 lol
facts.
I'm from trenton nj (eastside) when i say "the war report" set the tone for the whole 97' summer i mean 97' and beyond. It captured the era unlike no other album at that time
It ran that summer -- and put a lot of people on to how to pronounce Poughkeepsie
East Trenton grew me, had me skipping school......damn hiphop tool us places mentally. Love from East Africa.
@@godwinuringi7513 Ulysses boyfriend Volvo had me makin moves ...I'm from that east trenton hov and dehaven talk about. Peace and blessings
East Trenton all day hart Ave baby
@@godwinuringi7513jay z is not from the east side
Nore flow and charisma was unique..he built he's own style..what what. Lol salute king
Nore you gotta get that acid reflux checked my brother
Two of the best.
So glad to hear NORE talk about his pride in his role in making giving flowers popular.
These two continue to move the culture forward and inject positivity.
Thank you both!
🔆👑🔆🙏🏾 "The War Report" CD was one of those I kept in the car . When *N.O.R.E* dropped I had Nore as one of my favorite rappers especially for going back at Snoop and Pac. Talib 🖤👑🖤🙏🏾✨ Gratitude for this conversation. WOW
I am a 47 year old sista from the Bronx. I had the biggest crush on N.O.R.E. Even though he spoke a lot about getting head in the whip,Lmao…..i loved his eyebrows and thought he was too cute, his voice, and he was too freaking funny with his rhymes.😂 Sometimes and I love my life….sentimental. Phone time,(the Chinese store skit😂),Blood Money 3, Straight Like That, Queens,(featuring complexions),Queen's Finest, Grimey, body in the Trunk, Banned from t.v. 97- 2001…. Those songs really got me through some trying times. Thanks for making me laugh and chill, Nore.😇🙏❤️👍🤗
That song the J.B. ‘s coming through, from The Jungle Brothers. Let me just say, Skate Key,(the Bronx)…… the first time I ever heard that song, and I fell in looooove!!!!! When that song came on, it was everything!!!!!! It is on my playlist forever. One of the best times of my entire existence! 😇🙏❤️👍🤗
Nore is a solid brother. Very intelligent and visionary. Beautiful interview man. Love to the Peoples party!
thanks so much!
NORE truly changed the Hip Hop Podcast game and even prior to that no matter who the guest is on Drink Champs they always have a story to tell about NORE or Capone-N-Norega (The Real CNN)...Honorable shout out to DJ EFN. Keeping that Hip Hop element. The DJ and the MC
Facts or undeniable facts 🤔
By the way my man’s hat game is vicious 🫡🫡💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 salute Talib
Finally... a nore interview. Yes
A+ on the setting and this was an outstanding interview. I felt like it was up close and personal.
Needed this interview. It made my afternoon in the office go by quicker too 🔥🔥🔥
Nice to see a half sober NORE👏👏👏
BANG BANG is an all time record. Pause this and go play it if you don’t know.
Thank you for this much needed interview! Blessings to Talib & NORE - Legends taking care of legends 💪🏾🌟🫡💯🏴☠️
I used to listen to Nore when I was 67, I am now 13. This will forever be a classic.
omg it's the Benjamin Button right here
Wtf 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Bars
😝
Nore is such a beautiful person. Big BIG respect 🙏💙
Mannn! I love Nore. Beautiful interview brother. Thank you both!
Thanks for listening
Real talk big facts 💪🏿💯🦍👣🫶🏾
I looove Nore & Royal Flush collaborations!
dang okay Talib your notorious for giving the guests great introduction you made Nore sound important out here 😂 naw i watch Drink Champs faithful this episode here the audience don't have to worry about Nore interrupt anybody talking because his the guest this time so this is gonna be interesting 😅
Noreaga got that Abstract flow very different style. Dumbed down and complex with an interesting rhyme patterns. Sometimes it worked incredibly especially early in his career and might have missed the mark in some people's opinions.
THIS INTERVIEW JUST LIKE THE OTHERS... FIREEEEEEE. BLESSINGS TALIB AND NORE! PROUD OF YOU GUYS!
PHARRELL DID APPEAR VOCALLY ON SWV'S USE YOUR HEART, ON THE LAST CHORUS RUN..
Love this!! To see 2 of a short list of my favorite artists of all time, from total opposite ends of the same genre, getting together to speak on their different journey's in the same struggle warms my heart. Hip Hop is amazing because of artists like these 2 gentlemen right here.
While I smoked shorty sipped chardonnay
I lay, lay back, cognac
And I don't even drink like that, I sell crack!!!
So dope that he mentioned this line from Blood Money, I been sayn how how ironic this bar is dince he now has the Drink Champs podcast. Love this interview.
Damn. The story about the Italian guy is real. Surprised NORE realized he was being dissed. Good
Yup, those scenarios happen a lot....but cats dont be realizing it
I lived in Atlanta when War Report came out and I promise you we was on that shit when it first dropped. Facts! Atlanta at that time especially was baby New York.
“I’m leaving “ was NORE best song.
Word❗️
Not even a Nore official song. But it’s fvckin perfect!
Hell no
"I LOVE MY LIFE AND SOMETIMES I WANNA GO BACK AROUND THE WAY"
bar
Prodigy's verse might not have been on the official release of LA, LA, but it was on Doo Wop's or Tony Touch's mixtape at the time, so NY heard it in real time.
He also used it on Nas' "Live Nigga Rap"...
The double napkin was hilarious 😂 😂😂
I don't really follow podcasts, but I never miss an episode of People's Party, so I was shocked when Talib said that Math Hoffa and Joe Budden do better numbers. They seem to lean heavy into sensationalism while Talib (and Jasmine) focus on quality control (pun intended).
I love drink champs
UNITY IS BEAUTIFUL
N.O.R.E. has always been entertaining. He has grown & matured a lot over the years. I've enjoyed all of Capone-N-Noreaga's albums and Drink Champs is one of if not my favorite podcast show.
Sometimes I wanna cry and pray. Sometimes I wanna chill and lay, sometimesi get drunk all God Damned day. Sometimes I wanna go back around the way, sometimes I Wana ride and smoke, sometimes, sometimes I got money and I still feel broke
"it doesnt take anything away from me as a man to show you how great the next person is." First 3 minutes of the broadcast and literally the first thought out of his mouth. Props, King. Teach us.
Melvin Flint album was hard!!
No it wasn’t. Stop. Even Nore called it a half a s s album on Invincible
Melvyn Flynt a classic. Nore said that on an old ass song but he’s changed his mind on it since then
Was that his second solo album??
Best two pods OUT
YES!!!
I was in the bay area 16 yrs old listenin to the war report. The live on record made me cry cuz my best friend was locked up and it made me miss my boy fareal. Salute to Nore and Capone
I realize that feeling what he’s expressing that how could you know what was happening at that time
watching this is excellence in pure form. hip hop has matured and is this is nourishment
Talib dropping mad Gems on Nore with regards to the truth about BET ownership ! Nore on the other hand is mad emotionless in his response . Yet knowing that him talib and others changing the face of media is empowering.
Luv this!!!! Both of you keep doing great work & keeping Hip Hop alive & healthy ❤
love this energy!
I've become a massive fan of Noreaga and DJ EFN through the power of Drink Champ's wit every Saturday afternoon I look forward to the show at 4 PM in the UK am from Scotland but it's going to be the same time right through the UK as well as ma Hood in a posh area now I got lucky man
Lol I use to call my homie German and he use to call me Chittling. Then u grow up or somebody will smash ya face in. There's a big pun story where dude called him a German and Pun wrapped his Cuban link Jesus piece over his fist and crushed his whole front nassshty. Respect is demanded by many. Great interview
I see Kwa is rockin' the Tical shirt Mr. Mef was rockin' on a previous podcast. Must've been a gift. All love. 👊
Wow was nore about to cry for a minute there? Lol all good though, y'all did a great show though🔥💪💯🥵😎
Omg, this interview is gold 👌🏾💯
I love Nore 🔥🔥💯💯
I’m loving this interview! I can’t turn it off 😂 I keep saying I’m gonna turn it off and check it out later but I can’t! This is the interview I didn’t know I needed. Talib is a great interviewer

Great episode 👏
finally my fellowvirgo nore allows himself to be given his flowers!!! my guy!! "put a bogie out in ya face, now ya face laced like ashtray face, favorite gat on my waist!" salute N.O.R.E.!!!!
That’s a great presentation, flowers!
Yes NORE is my superhero!!! 100!
I had both war report and reunion and I’m 910 NC
Solid Interview ✊🏽
appreciate you!
Incredible episode from the World's Best Podcast. Salute the Champs🏆
I’m really glad Nore spoke up about his impact on the Reggaeton movement. A lot of darker Puerto Ricans are being erased from our own culture and history but Nore is a legend 🇵🇷
That makes sense cuz the only genres I don’t have are metal and reggaeton. But I noticed that riddim in some old dancehall records which I dig. So I want to hear music from the few genres I was closed off to. I like to be pushed beyond my boundaries. Proved my opinions are based on stereotypical commercial garbage but there real shit out there.
I’m from L.A. in Las Vegas now, both cities had heads that were over tuned into WAR REPORT.
Lengendary nore and talib 💯🔋⚖️👑🖤🌀✊🏿
good to see him outside of drunk champs, his hot ones interview is great too
NORE causally teleporting doing side quest interviews
Dope cast bro!💯 - RL
INCREDIBLE
