From a 1999 article: "There is something genuinely comforting about walking into Quad Recording Studios after leaving the hustle of 7th Avenue ten floors below. The wood is worn and warm, the rooms are generally spacious by New York standards, and the vibe reflects the sense of creative fun and down-home work ethic of the five-room facility’s owner, Lou Gonzalez. Make no mistake, Quad is Lou Gonzalez. He will speak freely and humbly of his stellar staff and the talented people he “has the opportunity to work with,” but the comfort level begins at the top. Born in Queens, Gonzalez “ran away” to work on a farm in Maine. He milked cows, baled hay and learned to drive on a Farm-All tractor, pulling a hay wagon. After getting an EE degree at the University of Maine, he returned to New York and engineered for radio. Stints as a staff engineer, Broadway engineer and jack-of-all-trades maintenance tech followed, and 22 years ago he opened Quad as a one-room facility, largely financed by a Sesame Street album"
The Art of Dialogue is so good at conducting old school hop hop interviews that they are able to talk about the same subject 80% of the time whilst still keeping us all entertained. Big had nothing to do with it nor any prior knowledge. Pac even blamed the A-team at one point, but it was Jimmy Henchmen. Pac was just paranoid getting bad information, he was even blaming King Tut, who was booked at the time. But I believe he knew Big had nothing to do with it but was an easy target. Wrong: Pac was pissed at the fact that BIG ran in the same circles as the niggas who did it(Henchmen's crew or Haitian Jack's from what I read) and didn't tell Pac who was involved after it went down. I am a PAC fan and know that the only person that could have set him up was the person who was paying him to do a song with Lil Shawn, not BIG. Listen to Lil Shawn’s interview on what happened. Haitian Jack was with PAC during the alleged rape incident, is the person PAC said something to in front of others that was offensive ( Majesty and his homeboy won’t repeat on camera), and friends with the person who was going to pay him and told Stretch he had “money for war” , and is the same reason why he was caring those guns with him initially. We have to be logical, Pac was paranoid after he got shot. For anyone that's been shot, they'll understand how it affects you mentally. Pac's Aunt Gloria, Afeni's sister even admitted that BIG was at the hospital after Pac got shot, and she said he was genuinely concerned about Pac. BIG even dropped off Pac's guns that they stashed in a piano after he got shot to hide from the cops. Also, the medical records show Pac got shot five times, so who's still saying they don't know how many times he was shot...
There was a dozen famous rappers singers at the studio when pac was shot. Pac was angry dude. When Saudis attacked usa on 911 usa couldn't go to war with Saudis. We have our money tied up in their business. So we took it our in Iraq. Same here. Pac couldn't go to war with street murderers who would just put another hit on pac. So pac went to war with bad boy. So Lil Sleaze can remember what B.I.G said but can't remember the sneak dissing. Pac was angry that the very artist he put on, gave money too and let him open up with his shows. The thing is Jimmy, Haitian and King Tut were serious dudes and they obviously warned Biggie not to have anything to do with Pac. As Tupac said "fear got stronger than love". The gangsters wanted 2pac to sign to Bad Boy Records but Pac wasn't haven't it especially as they were extorting Puffy and other NY rappers. Lil Sleaze on more than one occasion stated he heard multiple shots. The streets knew it was a set up and Biggie and them knew what was going to happen, these things happen everyday in "the hood". After he wrote 'Against All Odds' Pac knew he couldn't be around, it would have become a bloody war with many victims. Death Row East would have faced many issues too. Exit: Tupac Enter: Makaveli
Exactly...extortion is what this was all about. Biggie never warned him about the coming hit. Cease was in on it too. He went outside in the cold to smoke a blunt,to alert the shooters of his arrival. Cease needs to be honest. Those people are all gone now.

Pac was upset because he thought since Big was considered the “king” of New York, he should have knew or should have told Pac who was responsible for the shooting. This shit is like a Shakespeare play. A lot of misunderstandings and fate.

King of New York as far as rap. Not the streets. Pac knew how big NYC is. The borough of Brooklyn is almost bigger than the city of Los Angeles. (Not county). Biggie barely controlled his own block. So that excuse is lame.
