I ran into him at the track at Laguna... Spoke with him a minute and thanked him for his time... He's a very busy guy!! Great dude always- helping grow our sport. 👍

I thought I saw Sam on the pit wall at COTA. Super cool to hear Roland talk about the class.
We could build the KTMs below 350lbs if allowed to. At 375 we're still adding lead weight, using lead-acid batteries, ABS units in place, full street wiring harnesses, etc.

And this is why we're building three Hooligans now.

Yeah, and now the Ducati V2 streetfighter is allowed, and the class is no longer reasonable. Why have this kind of inflation?

You can't compare the cost of a V2 streetfighter to some dude out there on a 2003 SV1000. The cost of a competitive FTR1200 or a Pan American is huge.

V2, like the Pan American, is going to be performance balanced. We'll have another video soon with an interview with Tige Daane on the theory and process of performance balancing.

@@armyofdarknessmotorcyclesb2883 yeah and another six grand piece of electronics to do that. You took the affordable class and made it an expensive class. There’s just gonna be nothing left for entry-level folks.
