Sadly, most Christians these days don't realize God treats His children the way a good Earthly father treats theirs. They mistake His corrections for Satan's attacks and call Godly guilt of the devil. They just aren't being taught the things they need to know to understand what's coming from where. And while the bible DOES say that all killing, stealing and destroying is of the devil, (John 10:10) it dose NOT say that all guilt we feel inside is. Guilt that condemns and guilt that corrects are two different things.
So one reason these guys are being deceived is they haven't learned what GODLY guilt feels like. And my other post explains the rest. Good men are being fooled into wicked practices by a bunch of false doctrines these days, but just because the doctrine is bad doesn't mean they are. We need to pray for these guys to see sense so they come to repentance. Hate the sin, but not the sinner. Its not our place to judge.

I’m not religious at all these days, but I remember years ago when I was growing up, we had a vicar at our local church who was the kindest and most spiritual person I’ve ever met. He didn’t preach at you at all, but every time you spoke to him, it felt like he was channelling a beam of goodness and kindness from somewhere. If anyone could convince me of the presence of god, it was him. Kenneth Copeland, on the other hand, has the opposite effect on me. If anyone could convince me that the devil exists, it would be him. He honestly must be the most repulsive, evil looking creature I’ve ever set eyes upon. The fact that vulnerable and poor people are putting their trust in him, and giving him their hard earned money, is terrifying and disgusting.
I definitely think there are naïve and too trusting people, maybe sometimes not too bright people, who can’t see through this man.
But I think some dishonest people are fooled by him, because as the Bible says, those who tell lies will believe lies.

Some give their last penny, others their medical treatment/chemotherapy money. He had a wonderful sense of humor and would often tell funny stories on himself that related to his message. He was passionate about his beliefs but he never acted the way he has been acting in recent years.
