Sounds like fixing Maya's social anxiety part III was a success. You got a straight answer from the taco guy and you moved on.
The "juicy" brand of beer you got looks awesome. The vegetables and loaded fries are also savory at first sight (yes I can tell how much seasoning there is) and as someone whose pet peeve is food getting wasted, I'm pained at having not been there to finish your food once you were full.

IPA have a lot of hops (historically for conservation). The hops flavor starts really floral and grassy, and turns bitter the longer it is kept. If there is a bottling date on it, you are looking for 3-6 months for "fresh" IPA, and the bitter starts to ramp up after that.
I know this is that important, but as someone who worked in the beer industry for years, including professionally brewing, I want to clear up some things. First, the history of ipas and George Hodgson is a legend. Long story short, Ipa were self fulfilling prophecy. Because the legend spurred people to create Ipas and made Hodgson famous. Secondly, Ipas dont get more bitter when aged, but actually the opposite. Bitterness comes from the oils of Hop (that is what IBUs measure) that merged with wort when added. Over time, these oils dissolve, mellowing out the bitterness. Generally, it takes about 8 months before it is noticeable. The whole 3 to 6 months thing ( which usually is shown as the exp date) is made up by breweries because expiration dates in the industry are kind of bullcrap and aren't regulated. Most beer lasts way longer than what the "box" says and still tastes the same.
@@danielmoore8592 I was saying that the floral hops flavors and aromas break down a lot faster. While the bitterness does mellow out, in the profile of the entire beer it takes over more as time goes by.
I did not say anything about an expiration date, just the bottling date which is more important for the flavor of your IPA.
I see, i gotcha. Yeah, the bottling date is more important. But it still about 6 to 8 months where the cutoff is for having that bitter IPA. And yes, esters (those floral, tropical, etc notes) do also dissipate too.
So Generally, the taste you get from the aged beer is from the malt and the alcohol. Abv is generally slightly higher after sone time after all. Bitterness cant take over the profile. A)it cant melliw out and also take over the beer, thats a contradiction. B) IBUs decrease rapidly when you hit the 8 month mark, which is what you need for hop bitterness. Any bite to it is from the alcohol

I think most people think being social is not a big deal.
But someone that actually dealt with it its the worst thing that happens. You rather stay away in social gatherings and being home then go out.
But what Maya does will help her alot if she keep doing it for the future. "Each time will be a bit easier" you kinda train ur brain that its normal to do this kind of stuff.
Its the same for all Anxietys you have to expose yourself a little bit each time untill it gets bareable😊
