Hi Friends. For all you vinyl enthusiasts out there, I just wanted you to know that I've finally re-released the album, Parables & Primes, as a vinyl LP for the first time. That's the album that "This Too Shall Pass" came from. So if that's a thing that interests you, they're available here: dannyschmidt.square.site/shop/music-vinyl/9 And thank you all for listening to my music! All the best - Danny
This song has helped me too - through hard times. I know Danny and the person who gave him the ring and it makes it more deeply personal because I know how heartfelt it is.
Hi danny You had a great live video up of cry on the flowers withcarrie elkin until today.. I loved that video. You talked about lasagna at the begginning. I went to listen to it today again and to share it with a friend- but it's MIA. wanted to ask about it...
Thanks for the note. As best I can remember, I've never had a live version of Cry On The Flowers in my possession. I don't perform it much, but I was able to find this one live version on RUclips . . . maybe this is the one you're remembering? Hope it suffices: ruclips.net/video/R5N8N18_FbI/видео.html
Hi Thank you! That's the one. It may go without saying that I really like your solo versions also- but this is the one I've acclimitized to. I'd like you to know- I'm not connected anywhere through social media- beyond youtube and craigslist- so I have little clue what you are up to but I am looking forward to what's next. I consider you a folk hero- absolutely.
@@sc7836 Good, glad I could help you find that recording. Thank you for listening . . . and thanks for your kind words. I do hope our paths can cross in real life one day.
How'd it go? I am unable to fathom what a dance choreographed and performed with this song could look like. Bear in mind, I'm not too familiar with anything related to dancing. I do enjoy the art and make a valid effort to understand the meaning of dance routines, provided there is one. (Which often seems to be the case if a certain song is deliberately chosen for the dance.)
Hi Jimmy. It's a Martin 00-28S with some unique trimmings. Here's a link to more details about the guitar if you're a guitar nerd like me: www.dannyschmidt.com/martinguitar.html
@@DannySchmidtRUclipsMusic Thank you Danny, I saw you playing it a couple of weeks ago, I got to talk to you, but didn't have time to ask about your guitar. I'm not a fan of Martins, but it did look and sound amazing.

Thank you so much for the music. It has helped more than you could ever possibly know. ❤
This song has stoped me feom killing myslef a few times, thank you for puting this out to the world
the delivery of this is so much more like a poem. it's really breathtaking to watch and to listen to.
Nightvale brought me here
noman Chaudhry Me too. :D
What a nice weather
Can’t believe I just started night vale. Ugh....I am so obsessed now. Is Carlos a pigeon? Maybe?
Best weather ever
This song got me through some difficult times. Thanks for writing it.
If someone made a tab of this I could die happy

As with so many others, this song has kept me alive in times when nothing else could. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Fucking love this song. The lyrics are amazing, and the overall feel is so... mystical.
Can't believe this guy isn't really fucking famous
It is as if Danny Schmidt was touched by divine inspiration that led too such a intense song.
I love Danny Schmidt, and this is perhaps my favorite song of his. Thanks for posting.
Honestly, it sounds like he is trying not to choke up on some lines, and it makes me want to cry
This too shall pass is getting tattooed on my ass right now. Only thing I ever forget and need tattooed to remind me despite how simply true
Now that I think about it, putting an important reminder there seems kind of inconvenient. I'd need, like, a mirror or something just to see it.
Damn awesome recommendation! I love this song so much.
The lyrics hit me on an emotional level. I am a short king but this song gives me hope that I will be tall in heaven.
This is a beautifully written song. I want this to be played at my funeral.
I thought I loved this song before; hearing it live just takes everything to an entirely new and beautiful level, surpassing that old love.
I am so thankful for this song and this artist. Thank you Danny for sharing your wisdom. Peace, blessings and joy!
Less than 10,000 views... what a shame.
Check again
Now almost 20,000!
This reminds me when of my dead uncle. Rip I’ll visit your resting place soon. It’s been too long.
Thanks Danny!
Hugs,
Vern

Now that is a powerful song.

Danny who makes your parlor guitar? Did it come with the pickup? Or did you install it?
It was given to him by Martin. He used to play a Taylor.
Does anyone know what brand guitar that is?
