Man !!! I listened to this solo many many times and i wanted to play it but it was discouraging but your video is gonna be very very helpful to start this project of playinn this solo ! Thank you soooo muchhh ! You are very inspiring ❤
Great transcription and playing man! Im curious do you first learn to play the solo by memory and then you write it down? Or first you write it down and the learn what you transcribed by reading it?
Thank you, that made my day! On this transcription in particular i learned it by ear part after part. Then i work on the more technical demanding runs and lines with a metronome. After that i glued everything together and tried to make it out alive through the whole thing haha. After that it's importen to analyse what chord tones and scale tones is used and to learn the lics. Hope that answers the question!
@@ioioio13 I really like his original compositions, so i would check out his new album: view with a room. The songs auditorium, Word for word, Chavez and Fairbanks is more modern but really beautiful. But to be honest the whole album is great. But if you like standards i would check out his solo on St Thomas, I'll be seeing you again and some day my prince will come with Martin Taylor. Just to mention some! 😄
I've played for some time now, but i think learning solos and doing exercises to improve speed and accuracy is the way to go. This will help ear training and improvisation too if you do it the right way!
Amazing! 👏👏
Takk! 🫶
Sweet.
Great stuff. As a non-player, I always wonder why Julian sounds so different than other players. I still don't know, but fun to listen! Thanks.
I think Julian lage is an extremely creative and talented guitarist, it seems like there is no barrier between him, his ideas and the guitar!
Julian is such a freak 😂 great transcription and playing, I can’t even imagine trying to transcribe something like this
Thank you so much!!
My goodness, great!

Julian Lage really is a force of nature

Thank you so much man!! That's really nice to hear ❤️
0:17 the slur from B to Bb from the first to second bar is missing a flat sign in the sheet music 🤓
Would love to shed this if you add the pdf to the description!
Is it possible it as a PDF?

@@rogeramundsen126 Cool thanks! I was wondering in which part of that process you sat down and wrote what you transcribed?
@@DWScores I write it down after I've learned the solo and I'm happy with the way i play it. Then after its written down I analyse it!
@@rogeramundsen126 which software did you use to write it down?
@@shamonoise I used musescore!
I hear Julians name a lot but until now was unfamiliar with his playing. I will be investigating further.
He is worth checking out! Amazing guitarist and improviser.
@@rogeramundsen126 You have any specific recs?

May I ask how you've worked on your technique?
