Hey everyone!
What did you think of the troopers and Vader's relationship?
Thanks for watching!
Star Wars Theory I haven't watched the video yet but I would guess there realationship is pretty good
Star Wars Theory did Vader have any assassin's under his direct command?
Star Wars Theory It's nice to know Vader admired honor and loyolty not like Palptine.
Star Wars Theory also someday can we have a video on hk-47?
Star Wars Theory do if Jango and Boba survived
The emperor punished Vader by putting sand in his suit.
Lloyd Garmadon, when you think of it, that'd actually really hurt, hot sand pressed on burned skin, ouch
Lloyd Garmadon or a picture of Padme or Ahsoka his female companions
Wouldn't that make Vader stronger given that pain and rage enhances the dark side of the force for users?
Lloyd Garmadon
but only one grain so he can't find where exactly it is
Worse, LEGO!
It's somewhat simple when you think about it:
-Vader had respect for the troopers under his direct command because they didn't try to make power grabs, they didn't try and usurp his authority, and they followed his every command, with not just loyalty, but respect. He returned that respect in kind.
-Officers, on the other hand, were for the most part out for themselves. They would send troopers into meat-grinders carelessly, because there were always more ready to take their place. The field commander within Vader considered this method entirely unacceptable, and so he grew to hate any officer that treated their men as tools to be used and discarded when broken.
-Vader, contrary to popular belief, never really killed without a reason. There was always some underlying circumstance or overt reason behind why he executed Imperials. Ozzel was a moron who was power hungry and incompetent, Needa lost track of the Millennium Falcon, a key component in Vader's plan to capture Skywalker, etc. This is in direct contrast to the Emperor, who would kill a man because it was Monday, and he hated Mondays.
Exactly. Vader may have been ruthless, but, he was also, first & foremost, a pragmatist. Killing was always a means to an end, rather than an end unto itself...
"The Emperor would kill a man because it was Monday, and he hated Mondays."
That might be my favourite thing I've heard all day. Thank you 😆😆😆
I really like this, how Vader actually respected some of his men. In the films we really just see him shutting down or choking officers, showing very little respect for anyone outside of Tarkin and Palpatine. So, with this, I think it's great how Vader kept his close bonds with the Clones in a sense, and trusted, stood by and respected his legion, rather than treating them like suited, unintelligent fools that were merely at his disposal, like he treated most troops and officers.
Damien rogue one?
battlefront 2 :D
A boss orders from the back, a leader charges with you at the front. If you were about to face a battle where you may die who would you prefer to be there giving the orders? The man who risks your life instead of his own and sees a number not a name, or the man who will slaughter everyone who harmed you and your brothers and sisters of the legion and will lead the charge beside you, not behind?
Liam O Vader didn't at all respect Tarkin, it's just that the latter was untouchable due to his higher rank.
ummmm you do know that tarkin and vader were good friends right and that he did mourn tarkin when he died on the death star?
1:13 "...he felt that they were just a bunch of old men, hungry for power between one an other. which lead them to making stupid decisions and losing stormrooper lives as a result. Ordering them, poorly, into traps...and all the rest who lacked vision. Which, he found disturbing."
yup, that pretty much sums up my opinion on most politicians that curently exist world wide.
this should be favorited lol
dbzfan1121 and Vader
Since you did what if Anakin liked sand, what about if Anakin had the high ground?
Noah La Tronica Already happened.
BolongaBoy15 IsBae when and where
Noah La Tronica Revenge of the sith game alt end
Noah La Tronica he would still lose cause Obi wan is the high ground
Jake Timberlake Now this is podracing
what if stormtroopers used aimbot
Gamer Elite 030156 wow
I think the movie would be something like an hour long, if that.
Gamer Elite 030156 they would still find a way to miss
They'd still miss... every... frickin'... time!
movie would end on the tantive V shootout
What if Qui Gon was able to save both Anakin and his mother?
then palpatine wouldve been executed on Coruscant
Lelouch Vi Britannia i always had an issue with this. they won. he won the bet. why not just sell the fkn pod for shmi? it would have made sense...
@joseph Anakin may have made the pod but Watto owned it. Remember, this is tatooine and humans mostly serve as a slave race, with the slaves having fewer rights than most historical slaves did (yes, slaves in many societies historically had SOME rights).
Being a slave when the pod was made from salvaged parts, it's ownership went to the slave owner (Watto) and anakin was left with nothing. Technically he probably didn't even own the clothes on his back, Watto could have reposessed them if he was sufficiently petty. But knowing he had been beaten by some Jedi meant he was slightly more lenient than normal, and anakin was allowed to bring some stuff with him (which definitely did not belong to him by law).
Venser's Prodigy watto did not own the pod. qui-gon claimed it was his at the requezt of anakin if you remember their conversations...
"watto doesnt kbow ive built it, you could tell him you own it" anakin at the dinner table to qui-gon
"I've acquired a pod in a game of chance, the fastest ever built..." qui-gon to watto
No I didn't remember that, excellent point. While very illegal, selling it on the black market as a collectors item would have gotten them a fortune. Maybe they couldn't find a buyer fast enough, that's my best guess.
what if mace windu didnt rush the emperor, but fled and survided order 66, evading the empire then eventualy assisting yoda in training luke? please like so he can see this!
Chris white Then jar jar would become the chancellor and then turn the republic into the galactic empire
Chris white plz make somethig on this!
you stole this from my comment on the last video...
what if windu simply moved his hand 10 centimeters towards palpatine instead of raising his arm like he was going to chop wood
Chris white mace isn't dead ask Sam and George
I don't know why, but the fact vader used two of his men as shields kinda annoyed me.
Me too...And he breaking the neck of the other trooper too... =(
I'll just pretend that those scenes never happened because it makes more sense for him to hate the imperial officers.
Mark Healey I hope that isn't cannon
Lack of quality control, They don't give fuck about continuity.
Mark Healey seeing that the sniper fire was aimed at Vader and the stormtroopers. The death of the stormtroopers was sudden and inevitable anyway.
hello there
Hi
Obi-Wan Kenobi I'm not here
prequel obiwan was the best
General kenobi
NO (case in point)
Because the 501st are "Vader's fist", if he sends them to fight against rebels could you say that Vader is fisting the Rebels.
Chem Cowboy OH
Chem Cowboy oh!
I don't get it
Oh yes ;)
My Stormtroopers love me...
Except for that black one.
RACIST
Yoav Mor he is not being racist, he is just saying his skin color.
Kylo Ren OH
I love u buddy
TRAITOR
What if C3PO would be silver
Derpinat0r What if Vaders suit was white?
Derpinat0r He'd be harder to distinguish in the heat of battle, but he would look more godly.
Soothing Fire what if yoda was a Muppet!!!😨😨😨
You probably wouldn't recognise him because of the red arm.
What if Obi-wan never underestimated Anakin's power?
So why didn't Vader want anyone to see his unmasked face?
Because then they'd know he's Anakin Skywalker...
Probably an insecurity issue. It's like a dirty secret that you don't want anybody to know.
Sparta cos he's fuck ugly lol
he had acne problems
Body image issues.
What happened to all the leftover light sabers in the Jedi temple after order 66?
In Rogue one they said that Cyber crystals, which were used for light-sabers, are being used in new weapon capable of destroying entire planets.
I think this is enough for you to get your answer.
kyber crystals
The new comic revealed that a large number of lightsabers (among them, Yoda's) were gathered up and burned in a large furnace, as a public display of 'freeing' the galaxy from the Jedi's 'tyranny".
They were collected by the clones and destroyed.
fosh bz they were destroyed
I like the legands version on how he protects his troopers
Throwing sand at them?
I don't like sand it is course and rough and it gets everywhere
Pocket Sand
Darth Drake Shhushaa!
Chazzing Pirate having sand thrown at you is a real nightmare. I like sand but even i can't deny how scary it is. It can get into your eyes and.... ugh
I love it when they humanize Darth Vader, more of these would be great
Ray Figueroa yes that's why I prefer legends Vader more! He's more sympathetic.
I have a feeling Vader doesn't care for non-clone Storm Troopers but does genuinely cares for clone Storm troopers, due to clones are more useful than the new templates.
'How Did Darth Vader Punish Stormtroopers and the 501st?'
Truly this question has been keeping me awake at night.
Wanderer628 thought the same thing
What if the Empire destroyed Tatooine instead of Alderaan?!
That would change everything.
A better question would be why didnt they?
Vader does hate sand so yeah they should have destroyed Tatooine.
Why would they? a. Tatooine is really random planet of no relevance whatsoever b. Alderaan was vital to the Interogation of Leia c. Alderaan had a strong rebel presence.
Death Star Plans* thats why they thought Leia hid them on alderaan but she actually put them in R2
Show me the way
Clash Mine bro Studios I can teach you
you have a very large nose
Not Spookykushy That's why I wear a mask
Darth Vader Sorry grandfather
At least Anakin could pod race. You can't do anything right.
Basically, Legends respected the idea that Vader still had some humanity left in him in regards to his attitude towards his fellow warriors, adding to his character.
Disney is just like "meh Vader bad cares for himself not gud" which completely removes tat entire interesting aspect of his character.
This what I hate about Disney Canon, it’s a simple good vs evil. Legends however, everyone was devils and angels.
What if Rex stayed with Anakin/Vader?
Also, what if Commander Cody didn't betray Obi-Wan and helped him escape?
His more severe punishment of officers does not surprise me at all. A soldier, especially an experienced combat veteran is that, a soldier. They screw up, you make a correction and move on. But it is A soldier. An officer must be above that, they must be beacons for the soldiers to look up to, follow and hope and try to be like. They must be near paragons. If they screw up it can poison an entire command. 1 soldier is 1 soldier but an officer can be responsible for so much more and can lead to the corruption, loss of moral, loss of faith and loss of discipline on a wide scale. No mercy can be allowed and harsh examples must be maintained unless you risk all those below them.
We didn't get punished :)
Nope, just vaporized by your own superweapon.
cptTK421 lmao true true
cptTK421 lmao hey u got shot down
Lol ,
Death Squadron cuz you can aim
Gonna watch this then go to bed! Goodnight @Star Wars Theory From the UK :)
Darth Levy dumbass britbong
Shut up Carlton
Lol ur too short
Samuel L Jackson 😡😡
Turn around BenDover I’ll show you where my shoe fits
My troops are the best and as such I treated them as that which they are the best of the best of the best.
I'm not afraid ( Vader cuts off Luke's arm).
Julian Rizzotti "You will be." No, wait-- wrong part of the movie. 😀
#stormtrooperslivesmatter
What if Obi-Wan was unable to become a force ghost? That should be interesting.
could you answer what the tally marks on the side of some clones helmets mean because I've never known what they mean
how many droid theyve killed in a battle i think
Velaxity xH I can't be that because Rex would have a crap ton more than he had on his
Ruthless YT Its probably a showing how many living beings they killed. Or how many wars they survived.
+Ruthless YT It could be any number of things. Probably battles or hell, even entire campaigns. That's what it seems like to me.
Yeah *battles not wars
I like his relationship with is clones and how he cared and thought of them as men over just clones
Asd92 Qwe94 that's why I like legends better, I feel as if canon is making vader/anakins legacy worse.
Do a video on blasters and what they're powered by as well as the colors of the plasma
Richard Foltz good idea I think he should too
For May 4th "What If George Lucas Made The Star Wars Films in Chronological Order"... would episode 1-3 be better, would fan love 1-3 more than 4-6 ??? WOULD MARK HAMILL PLAY ANAKIN SKYWALKER AND HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN BE LUKE SKYWALKER ??????? What's your theory !?!?!?!?!?
What if Dooku did not hold back against Anakin after he had dealt with Kenobi in RoTS
RastaGaming , now that should be interesting and a awesome fight I still thinking that Anakin would won that battle with scars of course but won in the end
RastaGaming he didnt
Dooku didn't hold back. Anakin was very powerful in Revenge of the Sith.
Palpatine told Dooku to go all out on Obi wan but to hold back on Anakin because Palpatine was very close to turning him which was the key to destroying the jedi
Notice that Dooku was taunting Anakin into the dark side during the fight..Remember he says "You have anger but you dont use it."
Vader: "Clean my helmet"
Stormtrooper: "No"
Vader: "Thats it"
What if the the Republic declared war on sand instead of the CIS?
I really want to know...what would happen if Rex was still the leader of the 501st during the time of the empire and wasn't with the rebellion? How would Bader treat him?
+Star Wars Theory
Hey, can you do a psychological analysis of Anakin skywalker, why he turned to the dark side and about his past!!!
Michael Gennery have you seen the movies and read the books? It's got all your info right there, or look on wookiepedia good shit right there
Michael Gennery more like Michael Generic
love your channel man your voice fits this channel and explanation while also giving us good insight on secrets of starwars. I think starwars is like our world with almost infinite things to Discover and build upon
I hate how Vader kills his own men
Destroyer Of Worlds iloveit
Man you just keep pumping out solid videos. Keep it up 👍🏼
Can you make a what if Star Wars Theory was never made. I thinks this would put a very dark twist on the world.
I love seeing that picture of Anakin and the 501st. Though the events the followed were terrible we can see the bond between them and how Anakin still respected the clones.
He cut through an entire squad of Rebel Marines so his Troopers wouldn't have to.
This video is going to be one of my all time favorites.......I love the sacrifices that Vader's troops made for him and he madefor his troops........I like the fact that he was not an arm chair or rear area leader..........I strongly hated those types when I was in the Army.......He was an inspiration to his stomtroopers..........Keep making these videos about Lord Vader...............
Its obvious.....he would make them execute order 69.
Officers never put their life’s on the line like clones and stormtroopers
What if The apprentice (star killer) never died
been watching these every night before bed the past few nights, great stuff. subscribed.
I kind of care about my squad but that doesn't mean that I have a soft side.
Up until his redemption. **Lightsaber clashing** **hand cut off** AAAAAAH **continues talking**
This channel is boss!
hai boss can i hav aaa pizza ples?
I like to get a coffee with Vader every now and then. He's a very open person and is willing to be there when you need him.
What if Anakin went to Ut pau i asked a million times
Fine. I'll give you an answer. Anakin kills Grievous. Sidious kills Mace and Obi-Wan when they attempt to arrest him. Anakin barely escapes capture by the Empire and flees. Sidious captures Luke and Leia who grow up to becomes his apprentices. (Before he kills the weaker one) Anakin eventually dies fighting the Empire (perhaps killed by one of his children?) and Yoda dies of old age in his exile.
Nope
It’s debatable whether or not anakin can defeat gravious considering the defensive soresu played a big part in obiwan’s victory. Let’s say he did then his turning to the dark side would simply have happened a little later than in the movie. He would be happy to have proven himself but he would largely attribute the gratitude to palp since he asked the council to send anakin in the first place. Palp just need another instance where he sends Obi-Wan away or he would have appealed to anakin enough for anakin to disregard Obi-Wan along with the Jedi order and join palp anyway. The trap and influence palp had on anakin had been worked on for over a decade. It would be hard to try and change it with one event.
I like this video. To know that Vader still had a sense of comradery for his clone friends is really cool.
third
Well amazing..
Obi-Wan Kenobi third tier Jedi yes
Obi-Wan Kenobi Hello there
Was it another happy landing?
My whole life has been around Star Wars, since I was 5 and saw my first movie I’ve been mesmerized by Star Wars and it never gets old
0:50 when your dad tells you to clean your room but you don't
The 501st/Vader's Fist need their own show, or at least an epic remaster of the story campaign from the original Battlefront II, which would be like Call of Duty WWII. An FPS game where you meet Vader, and he commends your loyalty, or force-chockes you if you fail
I wasn't really surprised. I was more surprised at the idea of him punishing them, when I saw the title I immediately thought, "What did they do?". Darth Vader after all was once a field commander in the republic army. Field commanders also are often at odds with the officers who command from their comfy officer chairs.
I think it not only shows the human side of him but also adds to the background of just how conflicted and complicated he really was. I think it also sets up his return to the light and his turning on the emperor because it was the last remaining glimmer of light and goodness; which Luke keeps trying to coax out of him in Return of the Jedi.
There is a bit in the clone wars where his troops are put under control of a Jedi that hated clones and tried to get them killed. The clones said the reason they are so loyal to Anakin is because when he has a crazy plan or needs to do something dangerous he is right there at the front leading the troops not hiding somewhere behind them. That's why they look up to him so much.
one thing that makes him shine over the rest of the jedi was his respect towards the clones, and how he fought besides them. this is one of the key aspects that I've noticed in vader, even though he is feared he still very much respects his troops, and knows how it is to fight in the front lines.
0:52 that scream tho. _ ^ _
👌 👌 👌 👌 👌 👌 👌 👌
Anakin was always respectful of the men under his command, the stormtroopers who followed him into battle to him were as important as achieving the objectives of their mission. I enjoy your videos, keep them coming 👀
One thing I love about the movies is how Vader never abused his enlisted men, be they Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers, TIE pilots, etc.; the officers, however, were snooty and arrogant and he saw them as more expendable, in a weird way, than the actual foot soldiers. He understands the soldiers because he is one. He likes to fight, not stand by and make abstract plans about battles. They love him because he goes first, unafraid, giving them confidence and something near equality with him on the battlefield. Meanwhile, no one could imagine Ozzel or Needa doing that.
Punished? Ayyy lmao.
**chokes stormtrooper**
"Harder, sir!"
"What?!"
"What?"
3:41 Sad, accidentally looks at him, and neck is just snapped.
The stormtrooper corps practically worshipped Lord Vader. They saw him as a great warrior who fought beside them in battle. Loved the video, keep it up.
"It's true he was cold towards everyone, including his son"
> plays clip of Vader cutting off Luke's hand
...I guess that counts as cold
His best bond with a Stormtrooper is none other than Gary!
I am not surprised, when commander Apo(or Appo i dunno) died Vader was sad, he even admitted he was very fond of him.
While the other imperials were sceptical about Vader the 501st saw him as a warrior. Hell, they even saw Vaders suit as a means for protection. And they left it at that. They both respect each other, and...that's cool.
As a former conscript soldier, it is always heartening to have your commander lead you, instead of just tell you what to do.
Vader does this far more than most commanders I've personally had command me, most simply going through the motion, over actually leading the troops forward.
I have a few ideas for videos.
What did Vader think of Tarkin?
How did the Death Star carry a hyper drive?
Star Wars Theory, the video's address: HOW Darth Vader punished Stormtroopers and 501st? - Star Wars Theory
I imagine it would be more like "You have failed me" *Force chokes trooper* *points at random troopers* "You there, clean up this mess"
Hey man, recently found your channel and have enjoyed the backlog. Nice stuff!
Anyways, got a theory idea for you:
I've been watching the Star Wars Clone Wars series for the first time just recently, and just a few days ago, I finished Season 3 episode 10. I thought this would make for an interesting "What if?", and a bit of a different one too!
"What if the infiltration droids had failed/been stopped?"
Not quite your normal thing, but I think it could be interesting, especially considering just how different so much would have played out.
Princess Leia Organa: But why must you confront him?
Luke Skywalker: Because there is good in him. I've felt it. He won't turn me over to the Emperor. I can save him. I can turn him back to the good side. I have to try.
I'm not surprised that he respected them because he knows first hand from the clone wars and other battles about battles. He also might related to them some in the sense that he goes into battles with them and they to had helmets and were not seen often with them off.
I would like to see a video on why Darth Vader didn't kill Admiral Piett at the end of Episode V. I've always wondered about that, seeing as how he killed other officers after failing him, but he allowed Piett to live, even after they failed to stop the Millennium Falcon from escaping from Bespin.
I like the idea of someone like Vader still having respect and honour for those who deserve it. It just makes the character all the more awesome and likeable.
What if Anakin killed Chancellor Palpatine when he revealed himself as the sith in his chambers? (You're the best SWT, keep it up!)
I totally understand that as one of the most ambitious warriors during the clone wars, Anakin would keep his respect and connection with his troopers who he led into battle on multiple occasions. However I was more surprised that he didn't hold that same warrior respect for other stormtroopers and even sacrificed himself in the legends book for his soldiers. I want to see the events leading up to that and after now.
To think I found a new Chanel to binge watch in my recommendation list.
Vader being described as a worker at the death star 😂😂 I love it
Piett was a good exception to his hatred of officers, he actaully let him off at the end of Empire Strikes back. Poor Piett wasn't expecting that.
another awesome insight, thx alot bro really loved it
3:17 I prefer this because this shows the reader that no one is safe from Vader
I enjoy your channel very much so. The plot, the alternative timelines, the fan theories....but I did enjoy to date, the recent "Why didn't Palpatine kill Darth Vader after mustafar injuries?", and I know this may seen a bit of an too late answer but I have an idea on how it would have continued if Palpatine decided to leave him there on the lava bank.
Love your videos brutha... keep doing what u doing
FREAKING loved this episode thanks
okay this would be amazing for a standalone movie. showing the bond with his troopers in battle
Totally cool I did not expect this when I clicked on this video your channel is the best !!
I honestly feel as if this stimed from the fact that his troops saw him and respected him as their leader, they loved him because he would be on the front lines with them and fight with them. He had people who didn't just use him and actually cared it almost made him feel human again.
2:12 a Stormtrooper aiming? Now that's something u don't see everyday
Has anyone noticed how perfectly he cut of Luke’s scream? 🤣
The relation between Vader and the officers compared to Vader and the troops reminds me of Damocles from Ryse some of Rome, when the generals abandoned him and his men, but Damocles loves his men, Damocles even has the black armor
