Werner Erkelens True, though there's probably mainly teenagers in the front because generally the older crowed doesn't really care too much about being in front or getting early to be inline for a long time (for most shows, but not normally their's) to be able to be in front. That's what I've noticed. Though I'm 28 and hate having to wait inline for several hours just so I can get in front to be able to see. With my luck, if I'm far back, I have a high chance of being permanently stuck behind a tall person.
Well they're both very high tier drummers, but they wrote it with Brandon, so it's pretty safe to assume that Brandon will be able to pull it off a little better live. No point in pointing that out imo.
I see a lot of people trying to blame the audience for polyphia shows being lame, but I dont think thats fair. If the band had a little more stage presence, if they move around or shouted something funny every once in a while the crowd could have been a bit more hyped up.
@@iamdaveandhaveaniceday2651 Well, gober is basically the hypeman. And you cant really jump around and have a energetic stage presence 100% of the time when the majority of the songs youre playing are super technical
@@SK23. i agree, but it's also hard for the audience to be engaged when the band are literally just standing there doing nothing. There's no point in attending a live show if it's even less entertaining than streaming their music.
@@iamdaveandhaveaniceday2651 I see your point. But if you see other live shows there are pretty lively audiences. I havent actually been to one of there shows. But this is the only show I've seen on youtube where the crowd is just standing there lifeless. And you also have to see it from the bands standpoint. At shows, energy is a mutual thing that gets passed on to people. What I mean is if the crowd doesn't have a presence the band won't, and vice versa. I dont know how it was before but like I said, nowadays gober is more of the hypeman and usually gets the crowd going, which is the reason theres always a mic at the front of the stage. At that point, if the crowd doesnt get hyped, then the band will also feel "whats the point of even being here if the crowd is this boring?" See what im saying? Two sides to the coin. Not saying it can never be the bands fault, but it doesnt always have to be. Edit : sorry for the long reply lol I didnt think I wrote this much
Evan Neel Yeah. 8 and 10 inch toms, who uses that without a 12 inch tom? Maybe a 12 inch snare would be good for him, he can tune that thing even higher!
Atlanta, I'm ashamed to call you my home state's capital. Why are you not going fucking ballistic for Polyphia? This angers me. Can't wait to see you guys April 7th!!!!!
Much more talented drummer than Clay, but I think Clay fits better from the standpoint of less is more. Not everyone can be playing a solo at the same time; Polyphia's early music was definitely "too busy". Hope Brandon's solo career can finally take off though. He's been sitting on an album for a long time now.
+Benjamin Andres Utreras Araya (Ben Summer5) who's he playin with now? Maybe it's because Polyphia is not good live. I don't blame him for leaving. They record great stuff. But live they are so rough
Zach B he left over creative differences. And, I saw them three nights ago, and other than the new guy not being as good as Brandon, it was really good
Those guitarists are horrendous. Learn how to tune, and maybe play your own riffs. Another studio band exposed, which is a shame because they are pretty good writers.
You should check them out live soon. They're pretty tight. I saw them a few months ago with their new drummer and music. They're much different than what you hear on here.
Crazy I met Brandon back in 7th grade and he always carried a drumstick around everywhere he went
Just one?
There is some sweet push/pull in this performance, he keeps it going perfectly!
I just love how the boyband of prog also has a classic boyband audience. All teenage girls on the front row :')
+wernsels funny analogy. Has some truths

Its like tumblr made them in a factory.
Pretty much any concert though
Dunno who you are.... You fucking wanker
2:05 I just want footage from this guys phone of that dude flippin his hair everywhere.
The stuff he is playing right now is a cake walk compared to his first two EPs.
TheFullyBlownAutisticHammer you sir are correct
4:43 low key hard af drum fill
ShaRMz6g yeah you gotta get the timing perfect
This tune is so much better with Brandon on drums. I love Clay but he does not do this tune the justice that it deserves when they play it live.
Do you know why they changed drummers??
Day Light, Brandon didn’t like the direction they were going from what I understand. So, he quit.
I was just thinking the opposite, I think they coulda been holding eachother back.

@@daylight1908 Cause they unknowingly wanted their tunes to vibe less more
This is great...
Really good stuff
The people in the front row ain't even moving to the music! I'd be going crazy they're so good and groovy!
Jesus Christ that is one lifeless crowd

They're just sitting there enjoying the music
That snare is cranked tighter than a marching snare, lol. He must like playing on tabletops.

That snare sounds sick. Not everyone wants a big mushy snare sound.
Thats how a snare is supposed to be tuned higher sir 💯
I can't even believe it.
How do you make it look so easy??
Brandon Burkhalter vs Luke Holland LETS MAKE THIS A PAY PER VIEW EVENT
early drummer of polyphia 🤘🏽
Yep! Thanks for watching!
just sold out last night at the Stache. missed out :-(
Atlanta, I'm ashamed to call you my home state's capital. Why are you not going fucking ballistic for Polyphia? This angers me. Can't wait to see you guys April 7th!!!!!
why brandon is quit from polyphia ? anyone knows ??
0:24
0:37
he's good but I feel like there should be more
They remind me a lot of Scale the Summit.
Does anyone have the score for this song?
simple set drum, but amazing sound
anyone know the symbol far right?
China symbol
Looks like a stack of a 16" trash china and some 14" crash!
Meinl custom classic 16in trash china
Or something along those lines
+J.J. Livingston thanks :)

His barber died
look at that one kid tryna mosh like there is actually a song being played HAHAHAHAHA
hay uno de los guitarristas qie se pifio caleta XD
he left again polyphiA :(
+Benjamin Andres Utreras Araya (Ben Summer5) who's he playin with now?
Maybe it's because Polyphia is not good live. I don't blame him for leaving. They record great stuff. But live they are so rough
+Colton Duncan this is so solid. You couldn't do any better, I guarantee it. This is so solid and tight.
Zach B he left over creative differences. And, I saw them three nights ago, and other than the new guy not being as good as Brandon, it was really good
Why too much ladies in front stage? Maybe looks like JB concert 😂
Those guitarists are horrendous. Learn how to tune, and maybe play your own riffs. Another studio band exposed, which is a shame because they are pretty good writers.
Suh yeah, this sounds really sloppy
this was so long ago, they're much better now
still performing to bigger crowds than you are/were in your early 20's
You should check them out live soon. They're pretty tight.
I saw them a few months ago with their new drummer and music.
They're much different than what you hear on here.
They still sound sloppy live lmao especially Tim. The New Drummer and Scott guy is really good live. THeyre majestic.
They are very off key.
Karolyn Matías I heard it in the drums first
Omg they suck live not Brandon tho that’s for sure he did good
L
what a poser snare
Lol ok
