If you look up pasta dishes with peas, carbonara does come up. It is not the classic Italian version of the dish, but a modernized or american-ized version

There is one New England state with no ocean frontage. My lovely little state of Vermont. But we do have Lake Champlain that separates us from New York. You should visit sometime, come to Burlington and have a blast.

Yeah, New England is comprised of these states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Don't know how they got that New York and Maryland is part of that. Then again, people often forget that Kansas is a midwest state, so maybe that's the same? They just assume those states are part of New England because they're around the same area.

I went to the University of Delaware and I originally thought shrimp scampi was gonna be florida but then I remembered how at the beaches in DE you can do big peel your own shrimp meals. We even had a peel your own shrimp thing in the dining hall once.

Two of the kids of our family were born in South Louisiana two were born in the middle and one was born in the North. Shrimp is more ubiquitous in the south (chicken & sausage gumbo is more middle) bbq is more in the north.

Yeah. North Carolina isn't even that far from Maryland. From here to my aunt's house in NC is about 4 hours. Rather than North v. South, I'd call us the Mid-Atlantic. Typically, Mid-Atlantic includes MD, DE, DC, PA, and VA. I've seen versions with NY and NJ, and now looking it up some include WV and NC.
