Important point: After changing Carbon Filter, press the AUTO and DIM 'buttons' for 3 seconds, to make the light go off. (I came to this video looking for that information ... found it later in the manual)
Must also take that white plastic front panel to your sink and give the inside of it a good washing and drying before putting it back. Lots of dust/dirt is collected in the small squares of that part. And "Thank You" AncientChess for telling us how to get that replacement light to go off. Much obliged.
When do you press the Ion button on the Air Doctor? I've never used that I just press Auto? Also, can I get a new pre-filter from the company because after I wash it monthly for the past 6 months it's lost it's shape? Finally, do you vacuum the carbon and HEPA filters?
To reset your Change Filter indicatory light, press the AUTO and DIM buttons together for 3 seconds. The CLEAN FILTER light flashes 3 times and then turn off completely, indicating the unit has been reset.
is the carbon filter composed of carbon pellets or is it a carbon coated mesh? Also, doesn't seem to be a sealed system. the filters didn't seem to fit very snuggly. What are your impressions on this?
Hi Therese! First, the filters are easy to remove but it is a 100% sealed system. Second, I don' know about the difference between carbon pellets or carbon coated mesh, but I will email my contact there now and inquire.
@@LaurenGeertsen I purchased one using your code. Thank you. I am a bit concerned that it will not be as efficient as some others as it doesn't seem very sealed. Lots of space around the filters for air to escape via the path of least resistance. Trying to understand what exactly is a "sealed system" to them. I have friends who have this who have resorted to taping this seams up.
@@LaurenGeertsen And I called the company. Just so you know, they said they are not pellets, but rather a 2.2 pound activated charcoal woven-like structure on a polymer. Sounds better than much of the competition, though not pellets.

She put the HEPA filter in backwards, check the flow direction arrow or just make sure the tab is toward the grill.
I noticed that.
