Great review Lilly. You really demonstrate the versitility of those humbuckers and that passive tone system. As you know, I bought the Apollo 4 Standard recently and although I still have to properly put it through its paces (my bass amp is currently in for repair so I'm having to play it through my guitar amps - which is never ideal!) I think these basses are superb and great value for money! The Standard has the same Klos pickups and passive tone system as the bass you demo here and I am very impressed with both. If you hook this bass up to a good amp, I think you could play any genre of music with it. Love that neck and how low the action is on this bass as well. It's so light and easy to play. I totally agree with you on all of your points about the electronics & features of the Apollo/Apollo Pro. I'm so sorry to hear that your bass amp is in the shop. Hope you can get it back soon-- the KLŌS will for sure sound even better than it already does when your hear it through your normal amp. 😄
I'll admit, I was skeptical, but this review was done very well! That blues rock sound has me thinking to put this one on my list. I'll be watching future reviews to what others have to say it about, but in the mean time WOW! It's got the growl and then easily smooths out to a jazz sound. Switch it up and I can easily see this bass in the hands of a heavy metal bassist. Sounds quite versatile to say the least! Thank you!
