  • I saw a tweet about yanderedev writing a fanfic about wanting to bone his persona in p3 and I guess my sheer disgust inspired this video, seems like persona 3 reload brought a new wave of weirdos to the already weird megaten fanbase, oh well, I think we had enough of them with p5 but theres not much we can do about it

    One big problem with persona difficulty is the players have all options while the demons have barely the half, so they could fix this by making demons bat pass when they hit weakness, have use 8 slot abilities with diferent skills, and finally have piece skill to avoid player became Unstoppable because funny build yoshisune blocks everything + good physical attack.
    And about therugys they could make every character therugys have different effect besides the "nah i'd win" high damage attack like making yosuke increase evasion and critical hit and Morgana recovery hp and buff evasion, and the showtime stuff could be nerf by making them required two characters in Frontline and have full bar so you have to consider change the time because of showtime but not good for the dungeon or continue with good team but with not showtime great.

      wait, shadows dont get batton pass????
      I dont remember getting batton passed by anything other than bosses, that could be a nice addition
      and yeah, balance is bs but the difference with smt is that it gives you bs tools and also bs challenges, the only good bosses in persona tend to be the velvet room assistants or some other hidden post game boss, would be cool if they could fix that a bit

    I definitely understand your point in regards to difficulty, and, while I don't necessarily agree, I can at least see where you're coming from when it comes to the calendar system, but I just can't agree with your point on the characters.
    For 5, sure, I can understand. While I like everyone in that game, I can't really say I'd be overly upset if Makoto was wiped from the game.
    For 4 though, while yes, Kanji and Yukiko aren't that important to the overall plot, getting rid of them would, imo, make the plot so much less enjoyable. I feel like Kanji especially helps the group as a whole feel more lively. On top of that, removing both of them would have bad implications for gameplay, as we're left with Chie as the only physical party member, and Teddie as the only dedicated healer, meaning we'd be left without a healer for 3 WHOLE DUNGEONS.
    For 3, I just cannot agree with your take. I like Ken, so I can say I would be upset if he were gone, but putting that aside, let's say we DO remove Ken. So Shinjiro just killed some random guy? Why should we care? The impact of the reveal isn't just that he accidentally killed someone, it's that he killed someone important to one of our other party members. Though while less impactful, I guess I could see it still working, but making Shinjiro just a social link? Nah. Given that your problem seems to be with character's screen time during the main plot, I'm assuming that would mean that all of Shinjiro's scenes that establish his relationship to Akihiko would be moved to Shinjiro's social link (given that's already what most of Shinjiro's scenes are in the first place) and that would mean that the protagonist would also be forced to be there during these interactions, which wouldn't give them any one-on-one time together. So if we just decided not to do the social link, or were completely unaware that it even had a time, then all we really know is that Shinjiro is, apparently, someone important to Akihiko, but if we don't see any scenes establishing that, it massively lessens the impact of Shinjiro's death and it's importance to Akihiko. Sure, we've been given more main story time to focus on Akihiko... but only after we've completely gutted his arc. And on a less important note, removing Ken also means we only have one dedicated healer the entire game.

    I would agree on the point that some of the daily activities really become repetitive. Especially the social stats grinding options. Because at a certain point you just press "fast forward" because it is the same cutscene always. The best part about free time has always been to work on your social links and learn more about the characters.
    I think when it comes to the party members 3 and 4 did a fine job. They could have maybe changed tiny stuff but overall I am okay with how it is there. The problem in 5 is honestly just that each partymember becomes the hyperfocus during there own dungeon just to get pushed to the side once the dungeon is over just to make space for the next character which becomes the hyperfocus.

    Personas difficulty isn't really an issue on lower difficulties, it's when it gets to the hardest difficulty where the game doesn't have a challenge or the challenge is make the game miserable to play (persona 4 golden very hard difficulty) it's a problem
