    I would like to use the DJS-1000 to record live audience replies in my show. I use an MPC Live now, but it comes in rather low, and was hoping that maybe the DJS-1000 would work better. Also has an easier way to work with the samples than the MPC Live. Does the DJS-1000 have a way to normalize the volume?

    Is there a way to to have a count down for sampling? I play a drum pad into the DJS1000 and having a count down, or at least a "next bar" setting would be really helpful

      Exactly. Quantized record start would make it useful x1000.

    Many SP16 owners are fuming about the 1.4 update on Facebook. Pioneer played us bad by postponing the update so they could introduce the DJS and to put more fuel to the fire they removed the promised live sampling feature so they can sell the DJS. Very bad move they will loose many customers!

      Yeah. I dunno why this is so hype, many analog sequencer and sampler has been made already better than this.

      The MPC Live outspecs the Pioneer offerings tenfold, but the live playability of the Sp16 and, quite possibly, this piece - destroy the MPC right back. Now if Pioneer would put MPC Live specs/guts into their box, and keep their superior flow... That would be a win.

      Robert Conner they have same way when sampling live. So ewhats the difference?

      prodj.mixape official they do not behave the same exact way when sampling live. Ableton, the pioneer boxes- when you hit record with predetermined length, the moment it’s recorded the last beat you get a loop. It plays back in time. You can INSTANTLY, with one button, mangle that loop with the pads and affect it however you like, re-arranging as your device records the new pattern you’re making live.
      MPC - I’m already onto the next pattern before you’ve navigated all of the menus and sub menus and re-arrived at the screen which allows you to rearrange the new loop, play back in time, and mute/solo parts of it.
      One is just instant. The other has a few extra button pushes. That’s all.

      good luck syncing an MPC LIVE. I have both and I will only use the DJS1000 in a DJ environment

    Is this feature coming to the SP-16?

    • @MrFullyCharged

      Hazel Shanks based on their recent survey, yes. I think the two share intervals, which is sad - bc they need more ram and more cpu to remove the limitations.

    Does it sample from the PIONEER XDJ-XZ

    • @MrFullyCharged
      @MrFullyCharged Год назад

      It samples audio via 1/4” jack. It’ll sample anything.

    if you use 2 cdj's can you sample one deck only ? or is it just recording the send return from the djm ? Like if you have one track with a beat and the other one a vocal, can you sample the vocal only ? or do you record the beat also as it's in the mix at that time ?

      Damn that’s a good question , were you able to figure it out ?

    • @MrFullyCharged
      @MrFullyCharged Год назад

      @@cristopheralcocer8482 it depends on your mixer configuration. You can record whatever is going into the dual 1/4” inputs on the DJS. This can be a headphone/cue bus, the booth output, whatever you want. If your mixer allows multiple channels to be sent to an output, you can record the sum out.

    why pioneer engineers cant design a sync donggle for standalone pioneer dj controller espcially with 2 channel deck to make it easy work for djs???i think chinese engineers will come with best solution faster than pioneer to solve the issue
