Hello Helen. I like your jewellery storage. I Sue something similar with trays made for A4 paper. Inside I’ve put ice cube trays and I have one drawer for earrings and one for necklaces. It works for me and I can find the earrings I want. By the way you said your BB cream was Clair light. Clair is just French for light! Loved the video and you’re looking great for 65!
Wow, Helen for a first GRWM you did it like a pro. I haven't got a clue about makeup so I learnt a lot from watching you apply yours. All of the lipsticks suited you although I agree the darker ones are more of a night time look rather than daytime. I must get the face tan that you use because since I've stopped dyeing my hair and let my natural silver/white come through I feel I need some colour on my face once my tan goes or else I'll look washed out. You look fab with or without makeup.

Hi, thank you. I use tan drops (lin in the descirption box). They are so simple just mix a couple of drops with your moisturiser and rub all over your face and down your neck. Just don't forget to wash you hands afterwards! hahaha xx

Great choice on outfit. I found the make up turtorial quite interesting as I have never used eyeshadow primer, think this is something I will try. Loved the eyeshadow pencils that you used, I couldn't work out the brand of them. I had my eyebrows tattoo, when I embraced the grey hair in lockdown for some reason all my eyebrows turned grey as well, also my eyelashes are going grey very odd. Really enjoyed that Helen - I love make-up too. I started thinking that there was more hair in my brush than there used to be when I brushed it. A couple of ladies I follow were taking a vitamin product in the form of "gummies" that is specifically for hair, skin & nails. I have taken them for about 6 months now and I am convinced that my hair is not shedding as much and my nails are amazing. Just thought I'd mention it. Just a very fruity gum once a day after breakfast. x

Hi Helen, I think you look great without makeup and also with, your skin is amazing! I’m 52 and I think I’m very sallow and ill looking without makeup, I’ve tried the no makeup look but it’s not for me, I have to use a moisturizing foundation like the Garnier BB cream for everyday just to give me something on my face, and I give everything else a light hand. It’s all about balance at the end of the day but I think most women look better with making a little effort.
Agree with the lipstick’s…I keep to the nude ones now (65yr) for day and might venture into the fushia pink for evening… Love the idea of foundation on brush first , seems to bend better…
Another good one Helen - thanks, I really dislike finding hair anywhere too, and I lose so much on my brush that it’s like I have a small dog on it after I’ve dried my hair !!!!! My Mam gave me inspiration as she always wore her Max Factor Powder Puff and her rouge every day and she lived until she was 98yrs young. Great video Helen! It was like watching myself 🤣 I’ve always loved make up especially eye makeup. I used to wear glasses and when I first started wearing eye shadow the rule was slap it on so it could be seen behind your specs🤪 Anyway, fifty years later and with the benefit of contact lenses I’m a bit more subtle with it!! Bobby brown eye pencils are fantastic, they last for ages. I also wouldn’t be seen dead without mascara🤣🤣 Looking forward to your next video 😘

On the other hand, you show us how women over 60 can still dress, shop and do it with all the enthusiasm of a women half our age. However, you have all your bases covered? So classy! You did a nice job - love those Beauty Pie stick shadows. If I were you I wouldn't give up your membership. I use their skin care exclusively now, and have for about three years. I'm not so fond of their cosmetics, which I find to be a bit too much like Charlotte Tilbury for my taste (glittery, colors that are too warm), but these new eyeshadows are excellent, as are their lipsticks, and their cream blushers. I don't think you can beat the serums/moisturizers/cleansers and the body cream is also great! I have hair that is the same texture as yours, but I keep it very short - but the same is true, takes forever to be thoroughly dry.
I loved this video Helen! I'm 57 and also toning down my lipsticks but I don't want to look dead either, lol. I thought the first two were very nice on you actually. My little trick is to put one of those on, dab it slightly, then put a little bit of lighter gloss over the top to tone it down, but still give me the color. You really have great brows. I have to get mine tattood on thanks to the menopause lol. My mum always said youth is wasted on the young, and how true that is!! Also, how did you learn video editing and what do you use? Is it easy? I'd like to do some family videos. x
Loved your tuition, with the eyeshadows I think they move better if you don’t let them rest? I really understand about more gizmos and make up known to man as I own them as well. I think you are absolute testament to what makeup and a good haircut does for a woman. I have watched Dominique Sachse for years but really do think you are much better, and don’t forget she was on TV for years so she had to look good.

Hello from Somerset! Just to say..i stumbled across an article IS FISH OIL GOOD FOR THE SKIN OR JUST WIFY DAILY MAIL...the beauty journalist had a scan before she started using cod liver oil morning & night & after a month she had another scan which found sun damage reduced & wrinkles reduced. I started using it (a no brainer!) & within 2 weeks noticed a big difference...ive been using it for over a year now (don't forget ur hands!) & my skin looks the bees knees for 65😁 (I don't know if I've already informed u of this but just spreading the word!) To not smell like a fish & chip shop I apply an Orange essential oil. I also use caster oil & Aloe Vera on top which is a skin tightner. It's all really unaffordable too!
@@Helenmaryjo & if u want to keep u'r lips relevant (ie keep them from becoming thinner) put chopped chillies (from supermarket) into a lippy with a stick along with Ginger essential oil...it feels like u've just eaten a hot curry & isn't unpleasant...this encourages blood flow to the lips.. this will keep u'r lips from becoming one thin line (isn't aging wonderful! Or as Betty Davies pointed out "ageing is not for wimps!") I've been doing this technique for a year now during the day & at night (I noticed my lips were becoming thinner) & this technique has deffininly kept my lips 'relevant'!

Hi Helen, I really enjoyed this video. You are such a natural ‘normal’ woman just the same as the rest of us. So relatable. I got colour matched in JL for the Dior foundation but the colour was so light ….0N Neutral. I look ill. I think the lighting on these makeup counters is not quite right, despite the different settings they use. The BP eye crayons looked lovely and you looked elegant in the funeral outfit. Please tell me what the hair serum does, I can’t find a product that tames frizz without feeling thick and gloopy in my hair, making it look even thicker and more coarse 🙁. I notice you didn’t use spf on your face, I am paranoid after having precancerous cells diagnosed. I now use it everyday. Thank you for your videos.
Hi, I do use SPF in the summer not so much in the winter as to be honest I don't spend much time outdoors. When I had my colour matched in JL they gave me two samples to try at home in natural light. Re the serum, I have used it for years and wouldn't be without it. It just tames the coarse nature of my hair. Thanks for watching and commenting xx
Hi Helen. I can totally relate to you when putting on make up. The wrinkles and creases just seem to get in the way! I always have a dilemma with foundation as I wonder if it doesn’t emphasise my wrinkles rather than conceal them so I don’t normally bother. As II only use cruelty free products ,my choices are narrowed down so BB cream is my preferred option.However, the end result is great on you and you look really very nice.

Hi Helen really enjoyed make up tutorial you are a star! I don’t use a lot of makeup just bb cream blusher and mascara l usually put lipstick on and exactly like wipe it off and go back to one l use all the time 😂. The eye shadows look good might give them a go. I have just started using contact lenses still on trial use so will see how they go, pardon the pun x. Nice outfit for the funeral it is what you like that is most important x

Great choices for the ‘funeral’ outfit 👍🏻 I am wondering if the Iconic brow pencil/pen/spooly has been discontinued? Couldn’t find it online. Shame as it’s such a handy all in one. I have used the John Frieda ‘frizz ease’ products for years and years, but I go for the lighter creams for finer hair - usually get them on 3 for 1 at boots or Tesco! Have you tried their ‘secret agent’ touch up cream? Might be a good alternative for you to your smoothing cream you use. Xx UPDATE - just found the Iconic pen/pencil online at Boots!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I totally need that earring box, although it might be a bit late in the game for me (so many singlets now). But, wearing two different ones is in style, right? (That's what I choose to believe haha)

That was a very interesting video. Loved the GRWM. I have hair exactly like yours, thick, coarse but with an annoying natural wave. If I let it dry naturally, it goes into ringlets but not in a good way. I've battled with it since my teens, trying to straighten it into a bob but when I got to about 55, I gave in (up). I had it cut to chin length, had some choppy layers put in and now I just blast and go. It does its own thing. What a revelation! It if gets too "bed head", I just use the straighteners sparingly or it goes completely lifeless. Your funeral outfit was just right.

Great choice on outfit. I found the make up turtorial quite interesting as I have never used eyeshadow primer, think this is something I will try. Loved the eyeshadow pencils that you used, I couldn't work out the brand of them. I had my eyebrows tattoo, when I embraced the grey hair in lockdown for some reason all my eyebrows turned grey as well, also my eyelashes are going grey very odd.

Really enjoyed that Helen - I love make-up too. I started thinking that there was more hair in my brush than there used to be when I brushed it. A couple of ladies I follow were taking a vitamin product in the form of "gummies" that is specifically for hair, skin & nails. I have taken them for about 6 months now and I am convinced that my hair is not shedding as much and my nails are amazing. Just thought I'd mention it. Just a very fruity gum once a day after breakfast. x

Hi Helen, I think you look great without makeup and also with, your skin is amazing! I’m 52 and I think I’m very sallow and ill looking without makeup, I’ve tried the no makeup look but it’s not for me, I have to use a moisturizing foundation like the Garnier BB cream for everyday just to give me something on my face, and I give everything else a light hand. It’s all about balance at the end of the day but I think most women look better with making a little effort.

Agree with the lipstick’s…I keep to the nude ones now (65yr) for day and might venture into the fushia pink for evening… Love the idea of foundation on brush first , seems to bend better…

Hi Helen, loved your makeover cosmetic video. You gave me many tips. I have just celebrated my 80th Birthday and I still love to do my make-up! My Mam gave me inspiration as she always wore her Max Factor Powder Puff and her rouge every day and she lived until she was 98yrs young. I have already ordered the brush cleaner and I was lucky as they only had one left !! Pleased you went for the single breasted jacket. You looked very smart and I hope all went well on Monday. I’ve always loved make up especially eye makeup. I used to wear glasses and when I first started wearing eye shadow the rule was slap it on so it could be seen behind your specs🤪
Anyway, fifty years later and with the benefit of contact lenses I’m a bit more subtle with it!! Bobby brown eye pencils are fantastic, they last for ages.
I also wouldn’t be seen dead without mascara🤣🤣

You did a nice job - love those Beauty Pie stick shadows. If I were you I wouldn't give up your membership. I use their skin care exclusively now, and have for about three years. I'm not so fond of their cosmetics, which I find to be a bit too much like Charlotte Tilbury for my taste (glittery, colors that are too warm), but these new eyeshadows are excellent, as are their lipsticks, and their cream blushers. I don't think you can beat the serums/moisturizers/cleansers and the body cream is also great! I have hair that is the same texture as yours, but I keep it very short - but the same is true, takes forever to be thoroughly dry.

I loved this video Helen! I'm 57 and also toning down my lipsticks but I don't want to look dead either, lol. I thought the first two were very nice on you actually. My little trick is to put one of those on, dab it slightly, then put a little bit of lighter gloss over the top to tone it down, but still give me the color. You really have great brows. I have to get mine tattood on thanks to the menopause lol. My mum always said youth is wasted on the young, and how true that is!! Also, how did you learn video editing and what do you use? Is it easy? I'd like to do some family videos. x

Loved your tuition, with the eyeshadows I think they move better if you don’t let them rest? I really understand about more gizmos and make up known to man as I own them as well. I think you are absolute testament to what makeup and a good haircut does for a woman. I have watched Dominique Sachse for years but really do think you are much better, and don’t forget she was on TV for years so she had to look good.

Hello from Somerset! Just to say..i stumbled across an article IS FISH OIL GOOD FOR THE SKIN OR JUST WIFY DAILY MAIL...the beauty journalist had a scan before she started using cod liver oil morning & night & after a month she had another scan which found sun damage reduced & wrinkles reduced. I started using it (a no brainer!) & within 2 weeks noticed a big difference...ive been using it for over a year now (don't forget ur hands!) & my skin looks the bees knees for 65😁 (I don't know if I've already informed u of this but just spreading the word!) To not smell like a fish & chip shop I apply an Orange essential oil. I also use caster oil & Aloe Vera on top which is a skin tightner. It's all really unaffordable too!

@@Helenmaryjo & if u want to keep u'r lips relevant (ie keep them from becoming thinner) put chopped chillies (from supermarket) into a lippy with a stick along with Ginger essential oil...it feels like u've just eaten a hot curry & isn't unpleasant...this encourages blood flow to the lips.. this will keep u'r lips from becoming one thin line (isn't aging wonderful! Or as Betty Davies pointed out "ageing is not for wimps!") I've been doing this technique for a year now during the day & at night (I noticed my lips were becoming thinner) & this technique has deffininly kept my lips 'relevant'!

Hi Helen, I really enjoyed this video. You are such a natural ‘normal’ woman just the same as the rest of us. So relatable. I got colour matched in JL for the Dior foundation but the colour was so light ….0N Neutral. I look ill. I think the lighting on these makeup counters is not quite right, despite the different settings they use. The BP eye crayons looked lovely and you looked elegant in the funeral outfit. Please tell me what the hair serum does, I can’t find a product that tames frizz without feeling thick and gloopy in my hair, making it look even thicker and more coarse 🙁. I notice you didn’t use spf on your face, I am paranoid after having precancerous cells diagnosed. I now use it everyday. Thank you for your videos.
Hi, I do use SPF in the summer not so much in the winter as to be honest I don't spend much time outdoors.
When I had my colour matched in JL they gave me two samples to try at home in natural light.
Re the serum, I have used it for years and wouldn't be without it. It just tames the coarse nature of my hair.

Hi Helen. I can totally relate to you when putting on make up. The wrinkles and creases just seem to get in the way! I always have a dilemma with foundation as I wonder if it doesn’t emphasise my wrinkles rather than conceal them so I don’t normally bother. As II only use cruelty free products ,my choices are narrowed down so BB cream is my preferred option.However, the end result is great on you and you look really very nice.

Hi Helen really enjoyed make up tutorial you are a star! I don’t use a lot of makeup just bb cream blusher and mascara l usually put lipstick on and exactly like wipe it off and go back to one l use all the time 😂. The eye shadows look good might give them a go. I have just started using contact lenses still on trial use so will see how they go, pardon the pun x. Nice outfit for the funeral it is what you like that is most important x

Great choices for the ‘funeral’ outfit 👍🏻 I am wondering if the Iconic brow pencil/pen/spooly has been discontinued? Couldn’t find it online. Shame as it’s such a handy all in one. I have used the John Frieda ‘frizz ease’ products for years and years, but I go for the lighter creams for finer hair - usually get them on 3 for 1 at boots or Tesco! Have you tried their ‘secret agent’ touch up cream? Might be a good alternative for you to your smoothing cream you use. Xx

I totally need that earring box, although it might be a bit late in the game for me (so many singlets now). But, wearing two different ones is in style, right? (That's what I choose to believe haha)

That was a very interesting video. Loved the GRWM. I have hair exactly like yours, thick, coarse but with an annoying natural wave. If I let it dry naturally, it goes into ringlets but not in a good way. I've battled with it since my teens, trying to straighten it into a bob but when I got to about 55, I gave in (up). I had it cut to chin length, had some choppy layers put in and now I just blast and go. It does its own thing. What a revelation! It if gets too "bed head", I just use the straighteners sparingly or it goes completely lifeless. Your funeral outfit was just right.
