    This is how this game is meant to be played. Unfortunately, I need my friends to unlearn the solo "run and gun" mentality of most shooters.

      I’m playing solo missions because the lack of wifi this game is intended for a co op missions it’s all about communication and working together and not risking the team just for a kill

      Played Rainbow Six Vegas 2 about a month back. I had the opposite experience with my squad. Came to a T intersection and told them to push, I was pushing left and needed 1 more on me and the other 2 split right. I pushed and the rest stayed at the intersection and I got clapped. Definitely need more vets to team up with so we can get shit done.

      Or if your just good at shooting games you can solo it the bots are stupid stupid as in combat knowledge and common sense. The bots don’t have good aim except when their in your face (you let them get close) they don’t use any equipment they just hide and shoot these can’t be the same insurgents that beat so many us soldiers I want a game that’s hard smart bots with smart functions like using equipment, using cover, mag dumping, flanking, using their ears, using reinforcements to attack and holding angles which is just so obvious

    I'm a sound designer, something that just absolutely astonished me is 2:42
    The high frequencies are played normally on the left stereo field from the exterior of the door, as if the sound is traveling without resistance in the outside atmosphere, the low-mids are reverberated with delay through the right from inside the house, as if those frequencies traveled through the door, house and then back out the walls and windows.
    I've never seen anything as unnecessarily realistic as that in my entire career.
    Likely there's a separate FX environment with convolution reverb setup within the house that all sounds use, from VOIP to gunfire and the door kicking sound is simply played both outside and inside, but it is overtly effective and very inspiring for my next projects.

      Sound design for me is no less important than gameplay or graphics.

      ​@@Rojomanzana438 For me also, on average however we are more consciously visual creatures; often times when I implement a project, less experienced QA (or the equivalent) will notice my/our work is there, but don't attribute it it's natural importance and ask what else was changed, because "something about it was so much better, did they up the damage on everything? Is the car faster?"
      There's some well known experiments giving two teams the same gun but one with a small "pew" sound and the other with a satisfying "bang", the team with the "pew" sound complain of a weak weapon, and they lose in competition, the other team feel overpowered and confident, they win. Switch the teams over and the result is slightly accentuated, mute all sounds and they still won't average out for hours because they are imagining the sound, contextually just on their teams colour.
      I'm used to it now, sound is invisible and as such we are too, it's vitally important, it's just contextual to the visual systems and very psychologically suggestive.

    5:18 dang, that's discipline. He kept his focus on this doorway for a long time before looking back at his squad to see what they were doing.
    Most gamers wouldn't bother watching their squad's backs at all, or would be watching what their teammates were doing out of boredom.
    Wish I had a decent PC so I could play this game

    Tip, dont instantly grab the flag, when the building has been cleared, quickly check if someone needs ammo or to respawn someone back in.

    So I've watched a few clips from this game and I'm just wondering, where's the dogs? This place was full of them and most had blood soaked snouts from eating the kadavers we left.

      I'm sure later on the game will get updated/better models, but I'd those are secondary to the intent of the game as a whole.

      It's in early access. I put my old steam account that I used in 2011, on my wife's pc just so I could play it. 😂 with the state it's in right now, I hope it can release next year on console so I can play with my friends.

    For example, when you shoot and hit something, no dust is kicked up and if it is, it looks like crap. Same with explosions, they should obscure more of the view. Also, shots should have to go through some bodies, we're still talking about an assault rifle 😂Bin yes curious whether this is still what;) but otherwise quite okay so far 👌🏻

    Not sure why everyone is praising this game for realism, the enemy acts retarted. Almost no tactics at all....

      The game is set around the battle of Fallujah. The insurgents were not particularly "tactical". Some of the insurgents had training, others did not. That's why you see some of them using little to no tactics while others will hide and try to ambush you etc.
      Why does your idea of a good "realism" shooter need to have enemies that are "trained" or "skilled" so to say? Realism shouldn't be based around how challenging the enemy AI is.

      @@OfficialInvictus they were hardcore fighters who were willing to fight to the death, they were patient and waited. Many were former Baathists military cadres hence had a decent awareness of tactics. They worked in squads and set complex ambushes...so far all I see in this game are individuals waiting with poor reaction time or blundering around and getting mown down. Haven't even seen the use of enemy hand grenades.
      And yes realism is based much on how the enemy reacts that's what make it feel real. Many games can master good sound effects, environment etc.
      This look clunky and a bit arcadey so far

      @@Dragoneer Go do some reading about that time and what they were up to, you clearly don't know much. When Operation Phantom Fury occurred the insurgents began an attack on Mosul and overran much of the city in days taking advantage of the coalitions focus on Fallujah. They had strategic awareness....they were hardly making reckless decisions. The ones that fought in Fallujah were there knowing that they would tie down coalition efforts so their hardcore cadres and leadership could relocate elsewhere etc. Ramadi, Tal Afar & Mosul. They weren't imbeciles is my point. This game should demonstrate that if it wants to be portraying realism. Yes there were some amateurs dialled up on amphetamines but there were many professional fighters there also.

      Well some of them were also just average joes. They weren’t all terrorists in an organization or anything like that there were some who were just outlaws and liked to kill. They also were honored for being KIA kind of like the Japanese in WW2… wasn’t exactly tactical to suicide bomb was it? Don’t quote me but I’m sure there was at least a couple handfuls that maybe wanted to earn the KIA honor and went to battle to strictly die but take some out with them.
