The “like” and “subscribe” are a little late, but wanted to say thank you for the 1750 fix a month back or so. You came to my house in Alabama and I mentioned I had used your preventive maintenance video before. Have a great day! Cheers!
Thanks for the video! Do you have a video or know of a good one on how to disassemble the Commercial 1750? I need to move mine out of the room where it is now and am not sure where to begin. Thanks!
Remove the harness from the belly pan and controller. Remove the storage latch. Remove the 2 incline hinge bolts. Should be ready to transport from there
I just bought a used ND 1750 Commercial, 22 model I think. When I turn the Cushion Knob on the side, theres no locking/unlocking or movement of the mechanism. Any idea what might be the issue?
Yes I have loosened rear roller, front roller is stationary without any slot or screws for removal, appears I would need to remove c clips from axle and remove to put on belt?
Question. The springs under the board on the 1750. Should the bolts be tightened to where the springs are compressed adn the board is against the rubber stops or should there be a gap between the rubber stops and the board so the springs can flex? I bought he treadmill used and the platform seems hard and the board is bolted down tight against the rubber stops.
That leads me to think time to lube the deck, make sure the deck isn't grooved..... for some reason, ifit machines are commonly unsteady with speed under 1mph
Great video! I have a brand new Nordictrack Elite 900. When I unpacked it the walking belt has a small wave in it on one side. It’s about 2 feet long and 2-3” wide. Basically that part is not flat. I think something must have been packed wrong from the factory. Is there anything I can do to correct it? Maybe a heat gun or hairdryer to flatten it out? Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.
Being new, I would contact iFit and have them send a replacement belt. I like the idea of a hair dryer (never tried it). My concern would be if there was a crease in the belt, if one folds, there is usually no going back.
Boss. I just bought a 2022 Nordictrack Commercial 1750. It’s one year old and the previous owner rarely used it. Should I pay somebody to come out and do a full service. Add underneath the belt, lubricate Incline Motor and do a calibration and adjust the rollers properly.
@@gitfit875 thank you. Gonna have it done for peace of mind. Only $125 to have it dialed in and by allowing it to be done i’ll learn how to lube the belt myself.
@@gitfit875 I decided to pay the guy $125 for the full service. I will also have him show me how to lubricate the belts so I know how to do it in the future. Thank you
We set ours up but it doesn't recognize that the key is in. We reset it and rechecked the wires. The screen is on but won't start. Any suggestions on what we can try. We did reach out to Nordic track and waiting for new key.
Definitely sounds like console issues! The key is just a magnet, if you have a medium strength magnet around your house, you can try that to see if it's the key or not. I can't think of a thing that could have caused that during assembly for sure.
Sounds like friction taking that long to stop. Clean and lubricate the deck. If you feel groves burned into the deck where you walk, then flip the deck, then lubricate it
Deck is good, followed the video entirely, no more issues! However, the dual fans built into the console haven’t worked in quite some time. Any suggestions on what to check?
I have a new 2020 model. How often should I add lubricant? I’m in SoCal, do you think the weather would damage the treadmill if I put it in the garage?
I would be concerned about it being in the garage. The mechanical can handle it ok, but the electronics not so much. Lubricate it every 180 hours of use
I have 1750 but some reason it stop inclining upward. As soon as machine it start it goes down ward to -3 setting and never incline. I have tried to incline more and see if that help but it didn't. Any suggestion for solution. Right now, i have manually set it is on 0 and remove incline motor cable so it does not go down. Love to fix so i can use inline function.
Yes. The small wire going into the incline motor is the sensor. You can pry it out, and possibly just clean it. Unless it is bad, then you would have to replace it. Also, a broke or pinched wire from the controller to the console would also cause this symptom...... try cleaning the sensor first.
@@gitfit875 Thanks. I clean the sensor. Once i try to start it still went down (but only about 3-4 full thread where before it was not stopping until it hit the hard stop). It still failed to complete the calibration cycle. Also when i try to incline; it does not do anything. Any way to check is sensor is bad before buying new one. Thanks
Any idea how to calibrate the speed on a 2019 Commercial 2950 ? I replaced both the controller and motor to fix an electrical short issue, and now running at 6mph is really 7mph (per actual speed calculations), 7mph is really 8mph, 8mph is 9mph, etc... Tech support has not been able to resolve this for me thus far.
The newer ones, they've removed the Reed switch, I'm assuming that's the case with yours. If you had one, they could still be hooked up, but they factory sets them now. Usually putting hot glue on the potentiometer. I carry a Reed switch with me for this situation, but if I find myself without, I run it at 4mph (fast walk/ just starting to jog speed) knock the glue off the potentiometer on the controller, and adjust it to what I'm familiar with at 4mph.
Oh, the potentiometer is the yellow (maybe orange, I'm color blind) plastic phillips head screw looking thing on the controller. Clockwise speeds up, counter slow down.
Yup. That dial works like a charm. My calibration method: I set to 7mph while running on treadmill and adjusted that dial until I hit 61 revolutions in one minute, which for my 60" length belt works out to be about 7mph. Indeed the motors are either not functioning within specs, or they are different specs altogether.
May I ask a question - in your video, you use a liquid silicone, but Nordictrack recommends what looks like a silicone paste or gel. Can I assume the result will be the same? Thank you ...
No, Nordictrack (ICON) uses little packets with silicone liquid in them. You might possibly be looking at the lithium grease packets they use on bushings and axles.
Are you using a water-based silicone lubricant? Is that the same as 100% silicone? I purchased this for my c1750. Should i return it? www.fitnessdepot.ca/H11OTO1027676/cardio/treadmills/t-lube-treadmill-spray-lubricant-tmtlube.html#specs-warranty-content

Did not see what cleaner or lubrication solution you used. Would appreciate any reference. Thank you. Great Video.
There is a link in the description for the lubrication. To clean, just use a mild soap and water mixture, no chemicals.

Hi,excelent video but How do I lubricate the shock absorbers so they don't squeal? thanks 🙋♂️
Quite often the hinge points of the frame/ incline not being tight will cause that symptom

Rubber stops touching the board, there should be plastic cups on either side of the stop the stop fits into

Loosen the walking belt 15 complete turns, then the drive belt will be easier to deal with
