I’ll pray for you, but you also have to pray to God that he’ll help you hate that sin for yourself
You have to hand it all over to the Lord and trust in him, only then will it work.
Something I learned is if you don't think about sinning then you are less likely to sin. When the thought arises and you sit and think about it instead of doing something else the temptation grows. Try emptying your thoughts once in a while or doing something else that you enjoy or something challenging enough to demand your attention like exercising or creating art.

So you need to do fasting, tithing, daily prayer/worship, reading the Word and spending time in silence with God.
All of these things are crucial for denying your flesh, growing spiritually, which helps you stop loving things of the world and start loving things that are of God.
Start gradually and see the power of God starting to work in your life. Patience and persistence is key.
Speaking from personal experience, only prayer is not enough for getting rid of sinful desires.

Spiritual warfare is a sign you're on the right track. That's a reality many self-proclaimed Christians don't want to acknowledge or live out, hence they get choked out by the things of this world and are not truly following.
To suffer for Christ, it still sucks but it's better too, because you're building up heavenly blessings. Blessed are you when people persecute you and speak all kinds of evil against you because of Christ (Jesus says this blessing and more in Matthew 5). Amen! To live is Christ, to die is gain.

I have lustful thoughts all the time, and I struggle to walk with God even tho I've been actively praying for years, and reading the Bible consistently for a few months now. Change is difficult, change is hard, but it is possible. It's like a muscle, you've trained yourself to sin for so long, it's easy. And once you begin training it to follow God, well God goes against sin, so it'll be rlly hard to change it up. But so long as you trust in the LORD and really try your best to follow in Christ's example, you will get there. Repentance was made for people like you and me my friend, you'll find God if you seek Him

My wife left me and my children for a new boyfriend and I had just reached out to my ex who was my best friend before I got married. We had dated and were really good friends and only broke up because she moved to China for a missionary. She's happily married now and I just wanted to be friends again but after I messaged her I felt like God's spirit left me and I felt weak and drained so I prayed if messaging her was a mistake and asked him to guide me. Your video popped up near the top. I wished her the best and told her I didn't want to cause any issues with her marriage and said I was blocking her again and going into the void again. I'd rather God be with me always than have a friend that he doesn't want me to have.

i have a very bad habit or cursing and due to past trauma i’ve struggled with lots of lustful thoughts since i was about 7 but i’m hoping ill change and i pray to God every night to help me through it

I'm sorry to hear that, but pls 🙏 remember that suicide is not the way and is wrong, speak about God to your family read the word and share what you learn from it to your family, from my experience when I turned to God things didn't quite get good instantly, first I had to seek him through scripture and prayer and the more I did the more things started to work out, if you start losing faith or succumbing to temptations try and remember what God did for you how he helped you in your life, read the new testament read the life of Christ, remember his sacrifice so we might be saved, when it happens I do that it reminds me of God's love for me and it renews my strength, my friend be strong continue to seek God and always give thanks even when things go wrong and once he starts working in your life man it will be amazing, you just have to seek, knock and it shall be opened, I'll pray for you and your family that they also might see the light and realize God's love

Whenever I see a video like this I first go like “well I have changed, I mean I don’t sin as much” then I see all the sins I have committed and I ask myself “have I really changed my ways” and I end up in a battle over if anything I have even done over the 2 months that I have been saved for. Is this just something that new followers of Christ go through or is this just me?

Jesus conquered pain, Job bore the pain, and you deal with pain and suffering every now on then. Why should I follow God? Because he’ll be the one to make you overcome pain. This is necessary to make you into a strong and tough spirit, a spirit who doesn’t care about what the world throws at him, only about what love he can give back to the world. Imagine how strong our spirit would be if we humbly took insults and criticism with a light heart. Love the ones who throw us under the bridge, forgive them, for another day they will want to love you back. If we want to overcome pain, then follow in Jesus’s footsteps. because If he can overcome pain, so can you.

I’m struggling with gaming gambling like spending money on games, but more and more I feel like I’m spending less on video games because I’m slowly getting the feeling that I’m doing something wrong. I used to spend money on video games like a slut machine without any care. Now me spending money on games feels less frequent because whenever I do it, I get this heavy built up in my chest like I’m aware that I did something wrong. Before, I didn’t get that heavy feeling on my chest because I was unaware of the damage I was creating in my life, but whenever I did spend money, I get that weight on my chest. I’m praying that I stop completely and destroy that sin of greed within me.

Look, I still doubt if I'm really Christian or not. I feel so alone, like God has abandoned me. I try to talk to him on my prays, but no answer, no guidance, no Holy Spirit. What I feel is just an empty void in my chest, I don't feel loved, I don't feel seen, I don't have faith at all. I really need help, but I'm too scared to reach out to meet new people, find maybe a lover, I'm scared of life, because it hurt me, and I hate it, sometimes even my thoughts getting to the point of suicidal stuff, and I hate myself for it. If you’ve admitted you’re a sinner, believe with all your soul Jesus is your saviour and confessed this it out loud you are saved. I find when I feel far away from God reading the Bible helps. I’ll read something that I’ve read before but all the sudden I get something completely different out of it. I hope this helps.

welp lets be honest were not all good enough for God. Sin is what makes us not good enough, but heres the good news. God still loves us a whole ton. Just pray every night before bed and tell him about your day and ask him how you can improve.
