- After my initial prediction has had almost a year to age, it has become very apparent that much of those predictions were WAY off the money, so I'm here to give it a valiant second attempt! Now that we know of every single team that will participate in this edition of the FIFA World Cup, there couldn't be a better time to head back in and give predicting the tournament another shot! What will I hold my ground on from last time, and what will I have changed my opinion on? There's only one way to find out!

Hey, just checking in again! My opinion on Group F has actually changed since this released! Following the UEFA Nations League's last couple matches, I realised that I was waaayyy off the mark with Croatia.
After their 3-0 loss to Austria I didn’t think they’d be ready to get back in form but the fact that they topped their Nations League group even against a very promising Danish side can’t be ignored. Honestly, I’m willing to move them from last in the group straight to first place, to face Germany in the round of 16. Belgium will drop to second and face Spain, and while this would prevent Canada from passing the group stage, they still have a lot of quality at the moment and are definitely capable of edging Morocco for third. So basically, every team other than Croatia will move down a spot to make room for them at the top.
I’d still have both Croatia and Belgium knocked out at the round of 16 in this case, though, and while this would send Spain to the quarter-finals, they would then get knocked out by Brazil and the rest proceeds as normal, so not much else really changes.
No other changes are gonna be made though. I think my calls for Groups A, D, E and G have aged completely fine (as of a month before the World Cup, mind you), and while I have some uncertainties with Groups B, C and H, I’m still confident enough in those to keep them as they are.
Alright, peace!
love how 6/8 of the quarter-finalist's didnt make it out of the groups
This aged well
👍👌🙏 nice man I really hoping that the results become like that fingers crossed
My prediction:
1. Argentina
Runners-up England
3. Brazil
Gabigol? Hardly a chance now, especially as Tite is seriously considering bringing in Gabigol's Flamengo attack line partner and sidekick Pedro as second substitute no 9 over ones like Matheus Cunha (Athletico Madrid) and Firmino (Liverpool).....
I have England 🏴 winning the World Cup versus Argentina after extra time 3 to 2
Very good work. Thank you for the video
Every world cup has it's upsets and surprises and as such I really like your prediction. Still, I think you're beyond the realm of realism with this one. Even though Ecuador, Wales, Saudi Arabia or Canada might have a good run, I don't think they will all have a good run. That is simply statistically unlikely. Also, perhaps the number of goals scored is a bit on the optimistic side. There is bound to be several 0-0 bores. On the other hand I agree that Argentina could very well win it all and as a Dane I'm of course biased towards Danish success.
Very fair points here. To be honest, the only World Cup I ever watched the majority of was the 2018 edition, so that was my only frame of reference for the number of 0-0 draws I could expect, but the only one that occurred in that tournament, being the one between Denmark and France, seems to be abnormally few in comparison to some of the others, which usually seem to have around 7 or so.
I’ll definitely stand my ground on most of these upsets though. Ecuador is just a solid yet underrated team, and I think a run to the quarter-finals is fairly believable for them. I only have Saudi Arabia getting to the round of 16, which I think is a possibility many people are overlooking considering how shaky Mexico and Poland look. I think Wales is probably in a good position to make it to the quarter-finals too, as they’re probably the most consistent team in their group and already have experience against the Netherlands in the Nations League, challenging them on both occasions. I’ll admit that having Canada in the quarter-finals is probably a little too ambitious, but the top two spots in their group are very much up for grabs, and I think Canada could fair decently well against Spain, which is still a developing side that I think will have their time to shine at the next Euros and following World Cup, but maybe not here.
That’s just what I think, anyway. At the end of the day, my prediction is very unlikely to be at all accurate to the final tournament, but I don’t think someone would do any better with it if they played each prediction safe. The comment is very much appreciated though!
Putting Croatia drawing with Morocco and losing to Canada and Belgium, proves that this guy lives in Dreamland.
Crazy. I also had Argentina v Denmark in the final in my most recent prediction.
It just makes sense, doesn’t it? Also something to think about: that final will be between the winners of Group C and Group D again, just like the last World Cup with France and Croatia.
I have Brazil vs The Netherlands in the final.
@@MrJames-eb6rp not possible, unless Netherlands or Brazil get second in their group, cause if both Brazil and Netherlands win the group they will be in the same bracket and if it goes well for them, they will meet in the Semi’s but I doubt it cause Brazil will have to face either Spain or Germany in Quarterfinals, and Netherlands will most likely face Argentina in the Quarterfinals
Fax on the knockout stages and I agree on who the champions are

It feels great to finally have another video ready to go after such a long time! If you're wondering why I haven't uploaded anything in over four months, consider it as a mix between larger loads of schoolwork, and a very large personal project for this channel that has been in the works since last year, which some of you may have known about for a very long time. Rest assured, progress on AHOE: Alpha (S2): Episode 8 is going very well, and you shouldn't have to wait too much longer for it now! I can't promise that, once this video is done, that I'll go back to uploading anywhere near as frequently as I did throughout most of 2020 and 2021, but I have no plans on disappearing for anywhere near as long as I just have, so expect more content from me to be on the horizon at some point in the near future!
As for this video, I'm sure that you more or less know by now what to expect; these are just my opinions, be civil if you disagree - you know the concept. On top of that, though, I want to try the voting process again in this video, which I had already attempted in my play-off prediction a little while back, this time regarding your opinion on the two teams which will qualify from each group! Click the link in the description to answer the survey I set up if you're interested in contributing, and I'll reveal those results in a future video in this series/on twitter, whatever I feel like doing at the time. Hope you enjoy the video once it premieres!
Brazil is gonna win.
I agree with ur predictions
Correct prediction Argentina beaten France (4-2 ) it happened but not in RO 16, at the final penalty shootout 🤣
To be honest I think your right about the Iran one. But I think England would do better than Wales putting them in 1st or second with Iran. USA also has a good chance to be replaced with Iran, but Iran is also more used to the weather and they all are on there prime players. And I also agree that Saudi Arabia could shock the world. Since Mexico and Poland haven't been doing well lately.
totally agree
Good luck argentina🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

Thank god Modric is dead
They won lol

Okay, let's see how accurate this is!
How do you make these
That's a nice prediction, this also may effect the reason that it will be Messi's final WC (even fro Ronaldo tho),but i predict that Brazil would win the 6th title. IRYO! It's been kinda years since South America never won any World Cups... since 2002...
Speaking of predictions,my biggest suprise i wanna see in my prediction is France getting eliminated from the group stage.
@@YamiYinYang I feel like France getting eliminated in the the group stage is a pretty common prediction considering their lacklustre performance in the Nations League, but I don’t think they’re at the stage where they’d lose against Tunisia and Australia. Denmark is totally safe in Group D, but I feel like France will still qualify in second and then get knocked out by Argentina to prep them for later in the competition.
@@thatonecitrus6786 Yeah, but speaking of Nations League, will you probably predict other football torunaments in the future?(Like the EUROS,Champions League,Europa League, etc?)
@@YamiYinYang The Euros is a possibility - they’re doing the qualifying draws for that in October apparently, so I’ll already have something to base that prediction off of. I don’t really follow the club football side of things though, so I can’t really think of any other tournaments that I would predict in the future besides the Euros and the next World Cup.
@@thatonecitrus6786 Oh ok.
Very good prediction I like how u didn't go for the strongest win prediction
you did it by html ?
Morocco is in a bad shape right now, our good decisive striker Tarik Tissoudali who scored in the two legs against DR Congo to make us qualify to the world cup is injured and he's out for at least 6-8 Months, so he going to miss the world cup for sure there's no doubts...plus Nayef Aguerd our CB is injured too, he might comeback before the world cup, but is he going to be fit when the world cup arrive or nah...
Morocco chances are below 0 to pass through the group. Unlucky. Hope some surprise happens by that time.
Morocco will make things very hard for them three teams, that group will be an interesting one. Morocco against big teams ( especially European ones) always gives the best. The last two games against Chili and Paraguay did give us some hope, if the coach tries to rectify all the mistakes and if the players will be able to play with their teams to be more competitive
Sorry to hear about that... Morocco is one of my 2 favorite African teams along with Senegal
and look now at the semifinals

Again underrating Croatia...
WHAT, Croatia last in group f. You must be joking!
Honestly? Not at all. Not to say Croatia is an awful team by any means, far from it, but Group F looks set to be pure chaos and I can frankly see any team in that group either excelling or crashing and burning. Belgium is just consistently very good in the group stage, and something about Canada is giving me very strong underdog vibes for this tournament, so I sent both of them through over Croatia and Morocco. Could easily be the other way round though.
@@thatonecitrus6786 But Croatia has just won against both France and Denmark with cleen sheet. I dont know why is everyone always predicting Croatia to exit in group stages. Canada didnt qualify for this tournament for 38 years, you cant predict them as underdog because of qualification. Croatia has qualified almost everytime (2010 was the year they didnt qualify) and always predicted to be out in group stage.
@@thatonecitrus6786 Canada can only be happy to be in this tournament. It will be: 1.Belgium, 2.Croatia, 3.Morocco, 4.Canada
@@matija5555 I don’t know man, of course you’re entitled to your own opinion but I personally don’t think it’ll be that clear cut. Croatia did get some good results in the Nations League but they also lost 3-0 to Austria, who didn’t seem at their best prior to that match. Group F as a whole has a pretty bad start to that international break, with Belgium losing 4-1 to the Netherlands, Morocco losing 3-0 to the US and the Canadian team going on strike, so they all seem pretty shaky. Even so, I feel like Canada just has too much potential going into this tournament to be knocked out early, and maybe putting them in the quarter-finals is a little too generous, but a country doesn’t necessarily have to attend a bunch of World Cups to perform well in one. Just look at Ukraine in 2006, or Croatia themselves on their debut in 1998. In fact, Croatia has been at the World Cup five times prior to this but they’ve only made out of the group stage twice, so it’s oddly enough more common for Croatia to fail to qualify from their group than succeed in doing so.
@@thatonecitrus6786 tem razão a Croácia so passou de fases de grupo em copas com final 8 , 1998-2018 é em ambas perdeu para a campeã França, em 2002,2006,2014 caiu na primeira fase.
Canada won against Spain??
Yes. It seems this is the Hockey on ice World Cup
Most of those predictions actually make sense if you think about it. (I'm just looking at the round of 16 and beyond, however)
The Netherlands weren't playing that good on the group stage, they were very lucky. They only started playing good on the round of 16. And even before the world cup the results they had were sort of mediocre.
Wales on the other hand, seemed well before the world cup, they beat Ukraine, which is a decent team. Then the tournament started and they did horribly. It would make sense for Wales to beat the Netherlands if things kept going as they were. There's still some underdog bias though, but not much.
France getting 2nd place and England not qualifying for R16 also make sense, they both were doing really bad on the Nations League.
Canada on the other hand, that's pure underdog bias. I could very well see them qualifying, but beating Spain? No way.
Uruguay in first and Portugal in second also make sense. Uruguay was firstly doing bad on the qualifying but they recovered and did amazingly good on the final rounds, plus they historically do well on world cups.
Portugal however, were mediocre on the Nations League and lost their direct qualification spot to Serbia.
Argentina and Brazil also make a lot of sense, nobody could foresee Brazil getting eliminated by Croatia. As who would win between both, it's fifty-fifty. It would depend on which Brazil - the one who played against Korea or the one who played against Croatia - and which Argentina - the one who played against Saudi Arabia or the one who played against Croatia and France - would play.
Ecuador makes a lot of sense as well, they did surprisingly good despite not qualifying. The Netherlands were lucky Ecuador didn't win that match by 3-0 or more.
Saudi Arabia also makes sense because of the homeland factor, as the world cup was in Qatar, they were basically at home. The dispute for the 2nd place on group C was very balanced. Also, after that shocking win against Argentina, everyone thought they would pass through.
Belgium makes sense as well, no one knew how disorganized they were, and also they have historically done well in the group stage.
Morocco on the other hand, I know no one could predict them getting to the semi-finals, but their team was decently good and had a lot of good players. I understand ruling them out though, group F was balanced.
Germany was basically the "obvious pick" on who would qualify alongside Spain. They just were unlucky. I know the German team isn't that great as what it used to be, but they're way better than Japan and Costa Rica. Just like the Brazilian elimination, no one would foresee it.
Serbia makes sense too, they were also expected to do well, idk what happened to them. It's like they lack consistency or whatever, they have a good team but don't know what to do with it.
Denmark as well, makes sense. They were good enough to reach the semi-finals, I have no idea what happened to them. It's like they only know how to play the Euro and not the World Cup. Predicting they would beat Germany though, underdog bias.
Basically everything here makes sense except Denmark beating Germany and Canada beating Spain.
Your prediction was correct 🇦🇷 won 🌹🌹
Joking predictions how Spain out with canada? I think Spain will play finan.
Denmark has aged well
My opinion
1 🇦🇷
2 🇨🇵
3 🇧🇷 🇩🇪 or 🇪🇦
well, you predicted the champion...
Netherlands played wales twice already with a B team and won both. So how do you think wales is gonna win 2-3 penalties if they were to face eachother again lol
To be fair, Wales very nearly drew with the Netherlands on both occasions, since they managed to score a fairly late game goal which made them tie, only for the Netherlands to score very last minute goals in order to win the game. In a more high stakes match like this, I reckon Wales might be more capable of maintaining a tie with the Netherlands now that they have some experience against the team, and if they make it to penalties, then that could realistically tip the result either way.
@@thatonecitrus6786 I don't think you understand what he's saying. If Netherlands already barely wins with their ''B team'' they should definitely win with their A team. It's all cause Louis van Gaal the coach of the Netherlands is trying out new players to see how it goes. Think thats what most countries do while nations league. So A team of Wales vs B team of Netherlands and NL wins it in my opinion the Netherlands is definitely winning that match.
Exactly, with a B team Wales lost 2 times. And with an A team, which will be more polished aswell, Netherlands shouldnt have any trouble, if they would even face Wales at all, which i highly doubt.
Argentina and Denmark both team my favorite .... But I want see Messi will be win THE FIFA WORLD CUP 2022

I hope all of your 🇦🇷 group stage result turns into reality except the result you predicted against Poland 🇵🇱 hopefully 🇦🇷 will beat Poland
Very interesting prediction England is not on best 16, I hope they can make it to semi final although they are not doing too well on the league.
Me too, my friend. Hopefully the laws of the universe work against me on this one and we actually have a good tournament, but that 4-0 loss against Hungary does NOT inspire confidence, and this is frankly how I feel like things will play out this year. It’s disappointing considering that England won the whole tournament in my last prediction.
@@thatonecitrus6786 Personally I think it's quite reactionary to say they'll be eliminated in the group stages.
@@harvesterxtra9722 You might be right, but at the same time I think there’s more than enough reason to be concerned about England’s performance here. The fact that a team which would’ve once been known for having excellent defence and solid offence conceded six goals without scoring a single goal in open play during the Nations League raises alarm bells, and the fact that those matches took place in the Nations League shouldn’t be an excuse, because that match against Hungary was the third to last match we’ve had prior to this upcoming World Cup and the team should really be doing better at that stage. Unfortunately, I just don’t see us doing too well here, and maybe we would go through to the Round of 16 if Wales beats Iran instead, but after a lacklustre group stage performance I don’t see us getting much further. There’s always one high profile team that loses early, and I think that’ll be us this time around.
@@thatonecitrus6786 Perhaps, but I think it's easy to forget the fact that it was at the end of a tiring season and the players had probably checked out. That's no excuse and the players should have gave more, but they and Southgate will be well aware of the pressure and work to solve it. Personally I think England will most likely top the group and lose to France in the QFs. All 3 teams in the group are inferior sides and I especially can't see Wales beating us when one of our worst England sides ever was able to beat arguably their best one ever in 2016.
@@harvesterxtra9722 I did think optimistically maybe England isn't trying on purpose to let other opponents in the world cup to let their guard down. Losing to Hungary in home ground was ridiculous...I still trust Southgate he experiments many things and was able to bring the England team to semi finals on last world cup hopefully history repeats again. I am not saying Wales USA and Iran are bad teams, but they are nowhere near the potential of England team.
no one is gonna talk about how croatia is last in the group???

lol. Argentina will be out on round of 16
dude ur literally watching golf 😂
Saudi arabia 2nd in group C..above Mexico and Poland..seriously?
I thought this one would be a more controversial hot take, so let me explain.
1. Climate - The World Cup takes place in Qatar, which Saudi Arabia borders, meaning that they are likely to be more familiar with the general climate of the region than anyone else in that group, which could put them at an advantage.
2. Competition - Obviously Argentina is the clear favourite to win this group, but Mexico and Poland by comparison seem very shaky, both getting poor results pretty recently. Poland always seems to lose to the weaker teams in their group, like Slovakia at the Euros or Senegal at the last World Cup, and Mexico struggles to break teams down, so Saudi Arabia could grab some vital points from those matches. Japan is often regarded as a pretty solid team, but Saudi Arabia surpassed them in qualifying, so surely they can’t be too much worse.
I think that, regardless of which team comes second in that group, they’d get knocked out by Denmark in the round of 16 anyway. Other than Argentina, this group is looking pretty weak, and that second spot seems like any of the other three could grab it IMO.
@@thatonecitrus6786 Helloooo!!! I disagree, Senegal and Poland were evenly matched in the 2018 WC. Now I think Senegal is way above Poland. Although the FIFA rankings may be a little bit controversial. I still think Senegal is way ahead of Poland currently.
@@sportqlix Okay, that example is a little bit flawed in retrospect, because Poland ended up beating Japan, who was the lowest ranked team in that group, while losing to Senegal and Colombia, but they drew with Spain at the Euros while losing to Sweden and Slovakia. The point I’m making is that they seem to have their best performances against the best teams in a group but then end up losing to the weaker ones, which is why Saudi Arabia beats them here.
@@thatonecitrus6786 I understand 👏
@@thatonecitrus6786 bro I can say u don't know too much about football and just saying because of climate? you think really those players only play national team? nah they going on many special tournaments, better hot and climinatization on stadium than winter and snow, also need skill in football but saudi arabia isn't on that high level as Poland and Mexico

Countries are more passionate & improving thier game. The name of Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Brazil may sound scary to other nations, but the truth is, the performance gap between the dark horses & the favourites are not as wide as we think.
So that narrow gap can be decisive in causing multiple or consecutive upsets. Expect the unexpected. ⚽💯👊
