@@Nerdabetic I’m based in Australia, so i think that will be 630am local time, but I’ll see if i can make it. While id be happy to dig into any specific app (and i have a software dev and product design background to help), i think it is more the roundup and overview with some recommendations (ideally some insights into roadmaps would be even better). In case i miss the live stream, here are a few questions/ideas that might be worth exploring:
      - the cockpit app website doesn’t have a valid ssl certificate, what does this say about the security and quality of this new app? How can we make sure our data is safe with all these diabetes apps?
      - personally, i have lada/1.5 and it means i take metformin (plus some other meds) AND insulin, and i use a cgm (with the requisite occasional finger prick). I have not found any good apps that will track all of that (plus food, sleep, exercise, stress, etc) in a simple/efficient way. For example, the dexcom app won’t track any oral meds or food details beyond card counts. I want to be able to easily correlate different effects like sleep quality/duration and bsl levels, but currently there is no way to do that automatically. It requires a lot of manual effort, and often the apps don’t even make it easy to access your own data for that kind of purpose. Does anyone do this well?
      - im curious to see more apps like this directly and deeply integrate with apple healthkit/google fit, so that purpose-specific apps can be used but also have cross compatible data sets. Aside from companies trying to own/control/walled garden approach for their apps, which may seem necessary for monetisation, why don’t any of them seem to do this? Are there any technical or pragmatic reasons to keep them isolated? How do i prevent having my data locked into these systems long term?
      - what are the opportunities to utilise new AI/ML/LLMs for diabetics? I think a simplified ml prediction model is probably at the heart of the insulin pumps, or sophisticated traditional algorithms, but beyond that how can we better (self)serve diabetics with new tech?
      - in the face of AI systems, how do we protect our personal information? How do i weigh the (unproven) benefits of the tech with the risks of data privacy or lack of compliance or any lack of acknowledgment/compensation for data contributions? Balance anonymity with personalisation?
      - how can we better capture/utilise our health data to better inform our various health professionals? How do we get better advice/treatment from our endo and/or better advocates for ourselves with data?
      - how do we make data capture as frictionless (or automated) as possible? How do we balance the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the data needed to provide robust and accurate insights, versus handling those gaps and intuitively knowing how that affects the accuracy/completeness of insights. For example sometimes im really good about tracking all my food intake, medications, sleep, etc (and i would want/expect a higher quality of insight for that) and other times i miss capturing stuff or just get burned out and don’t track myself much (but still need some help, and maybe that is more mental health support rather than treatment insights)
      - what are the best apps for different use cases? How well do they interoperate/collaborate with each other?

I would like to see GCM and Pump in one device or in one pod ideally. I would also prefer to control all functions from my phone, that Omnipod DASH PDM is terrible (and Omnipod 5 does not support Dexcom 7 or Libre 3). Also those frequent signall losses when you 5 meters away or in crowded places, cannot believe that there is no better and more stable technology for devices communication. When you say Dexcom One with limited software capabilities, I think ah how!? alarm settings are so limited and to see your statistical data you need another app and another app to synchronize the data with your doctor :). Same with Freestyle Libre, I had to change to Juggluco because Abbot can not develop a fully functional app.

I've been on my Tandem pump for over 3 years. I have had a couple of occlusion alarms. Each time I acknowledge the alarm (press OK) which clears the alarm. Check that the tubing is not pinched, which I cannot say I have found that being the case, and manually infuse like .05-.08 units to see if the error occurs again. Seems okay after that. If it happened again I'd change the infusion set or do a complete reservoir/infusion set change if close to normal change time.
