    I split my 1961 Case 530 backhoe, and never even thought about the front axle pivot. The loader stayed on so I never got to experience the pivot action. Haha. I had to split it a second time because some numb nut used the wrong differential spacers and I didn't know because there was no manual. That sure was a lot of work, in the mud.

    On those hydraulics the 3 lines are supply return and power beyond the older loaders that went on the JD compacts were easy to remove just a quick disconnect with 4 couplers for the hydraulics put plenty on when I did set up for a JD dealer

    All of that for a lever that popped off. Crappy design and rough guy shifting it. Too bad so much work for such a simple item. You make it look so easy and it is actually hard work. John Deere should be loving you. They should pay you for you videos!!! ☺

    I’ve got a 3038E JD with a similar 4WD issue. It’s a poor design that the drive shaft housing can’t be removed thru the tunnel and the tractor has to be split to reseal the housing as in this case, change the drive shaft seal or repair a $2.00 dollar part on the 4WD engagement lever.
    I wonder why he didn’t leave the loader on, reinstall the rear wheels, support the front with a Jack stand and use the floor jack to slide the rear portion back? I’m no mechanic by trade but it looks like a lot less work than removing all of the loader controls and the loader. Warren would you please explain?
    Thanks

    I knew it was a matter of time before I’d see a 3e in the shop for a split, the quality I find on those tractors aren’t particularly great. What’s your thoughts?

    • @ShainAndrews
      @ShainAndrews 6 лет назад +1

      Same. Quality is crap, and charge a premium for it to boot. Never thought I would say it, but running orange has been pleasant so far.

    • @prevost8686
      @prevost8686 6 лет назад +1

      Shain Andrews People can say what they want, I’ve got three pre emissions Kubota tractors. M series, L series, and B series. Had them since 2003. Other than fluids & filters the only repair needed was a steel hydro line on my B series developed a crack in it after the warranty expired. Kubota USA paid for the line and I installed it. The preventive maintenance I do on all my trucks and equipment is impeccable . None of them leak, use oil, or need anything. I’ve got nothing against Deere or New Holland but my Kubotas have given me no reason to want to buy anything else.

    • @prevost8686
      @prevost8686 6 лет назад +1

      Dale olson I don’t think that series is Yanmar. The tranny housing had Made in the USA on it. As far as I know , all Yanmar products are still sourced from Japan. This series is JD’s cheapest compact.

      I've had a 4105. Similar build quality. Loader is casted in China, Plastic hood and fenders. Seat and steering wheel is off of a lawn mower, and the steering wheel is non adjustable. The only really strong point about them is the engine.
