Thinking of mini-turbos, I was reminded of how charging mini-turbos worked in the games before MKWii. What if you had to wiggle the stick back and forth to charge like Double Dash or DS? Might make a really interesting mod.

I think a mod that might be fun is a moon gravity mod. Testing if you can make shortcuts by flying through the air much more than you can in vanilla. It would be extremely interesting to see if you could use that to your advantage on DK mountain.
Oh yeah, flying around is fun! I tried it with SM64 already …
you could probably do that by just having scaled up tracks and a speed mod

The Flame Flyer definitely has broken inside drifting and broken orange mini-turbos unlike the outside drifting of the Piranha Prowler! The Flame Flyer definitely deserves to be considered double S-tier in this mod!
It's not inside drift. Its drift stat is just way better

What if bikes couldn't mini turbo? (including ssmt) That's seems a bit interesting.

@@grifleep4916 Not the same as automatic. You can't ssmt unlike you can do it on manual and automatic and like you can drift like in manual but you won't get a mini turbo

Ssmt is such an important feature, that it would absolutely kill bikes if it was removed from them.
This was so fun to watch. I'd love to see how broken this mod would be with the Wild Wing or the Mini Beast.

I wonder how crazy it would be to have a tournament in which everyone is always at mushroom speed 100% of the time, the lines would probably be completely insane
I feel like this would work with MK8D so much better because of how much you can control your direction with hops in it.

Literally, every time I see Troy with a shock, no matter the minute, I know he will spam it and make an excuse about it, he hates people who spam shock, but he always spam it, and I find that hilarious.

You know how Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has Ultra Mini-Turbos? It would be cool to see a mod so that Ultra Mini-Turbos could be in Mario Kart Wii!
22:33 That's an interesting idea. This might be difficult to mod, but what if there was a vehicle with amazing stats, but had a worse item roulette? Or the opposite, bad stats but generally better items
Not necessarily to the extent where they'd get a bullet in first or something, but a slight improvement. Maybe it pulls the occasional mushroom or mega mushroom or something

from what i’ve seen and read it can give worse items with a lower stat and better items with a maxed out one

Add an item rng stat to all the vehicles. so better rng for f tier for example or different item roulets for different vehicles. Love the vid
This was so entertaining to watch that I would unironically love to see an entire KO series with this mod. It would be so cool seeing everyone compete with these broken karts, especially with a vehicle system like the 400cc KO series had. But yeah watching it is just so cool, something abt the rapid drifting/snaking is just mesmerizing to me lol
Peak Mario Kart Wii balancing, it takes giving the karts instant SMTs for them to be competitively viable. To be honest the flame runner still seems better.
I love these new intros it makes it more exciting and blends in with the gameplay very well!
This mod is really "fired up!" Flame Flyer is definitely a fast and furious kart!

If you could make a mod that makes drift boost work exactly the same as a mushroom I think that would make for an interesting video.
i actually used this mod in dolphin, flame flyer is the easiest because of its handling and 2 second mini turbo, but the jetsetter is a tiny bit faster but sooooo much harder to control. it has like a .5 second mini turbo, and it bounces whenever you land flat on 4 wheels so it makes snaking a lot harder

This Mario Kart DS HD update is looking great!
I would change mini turbos for karts so only the orange one exists, and instead of 270 units you only need to charge it for 135, would make them significantly better (maybe still broken), and still viable enough to compete

The first vehicle on the first track was either unlucky or unluckily planned for sure. What an interesting mod either way!
Troy.........I never thought I would say this but I just found a new shortcut in the game! On Moonview Highway if you move up the slope , the one that you and Nicholas were talking about in the shortcut video, use a Mushroom and then wheelie you'll actually bounce off the edge and land right on the main road, and I've also recently discovered that on Rainbow Road if you trick and worry that you'll fall, you'll acctually tilt just a little prior to landing back on the track.
I was so excited when I saw Troy use the sprinter, then he got screwed the entire GP lol

Diamond runner beyond max stats and only gives you the best item of its role like a Mushroom to a Golden Mushroom, a green shell to three green shells, thunder cloud to mega mushroom, etc.
What if you did a mod where you have the 50 lap with a feather on mushroom gorge, but removed wall collision to make some broken shortcuts. By the way the to be continued was Hilarious 😆

I think they should have made the orange mini-turbo the default and then added a higher tier mini-turbo to take the place of the orange, and then make the kart mini-turbos charge faster so they could get out mini-turbos on some corners where bikes couldn't.

No, it's how you play it that you can dominate. Just that the 98.9% of people online takes the same character and vehicle makes the statement at the beginning questionable at some point.
I want to see a vehicle with double speed and quarter drift. I'm not just sure how OP it would be but it would be fun to watch.

Troy, what do you think is the optimal cc to race at? You could do a modded race e.g. 300cc vs 500cc to decide it?
Is the Grumble Volcano shortcut good against CPU Racers? I have not tried any of the ultra shortcuts because I do not know how to pull them off.
This is like Snaking in Mario Kart DS except you don't even have to input it X_X
