I'll be honest: I'm specifically watching this interview because it DOESN'T have Jennifer Lawrence in it. Whenever she's around they tend to ignore the other actors, and it pisses me off.

Yes jubilee only had a small part in the movie, but it's great to see an Asian in a huge western culture movie. You don't know how little Asians have the opportunity to make it in western culture...less than the majority of other minorities. So yes, this was just to get more people into the theaters, but don't hate on jubilee, cause she is the start for more diverse movies (as in having a more diverse cast that is more than a mere extra). I hear a lot about how life chances are not fair, and when that happens people are just racist. Well...Asians do face discrimination too, but you rarely hear them complain. So imma just let you know just because someone doesn't point it out-or make a big deal about it- doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
What are you talking about? There are asians in almost every movie I watch. On the other hand, I'd like to know how many europeans there are in Chinese/Japanese/Vietnamese movies. (not irony, I mean it seriously)

xyoist please...everyone is doing this! dont act like this isnt happening cause it is. colleges, jobs, communities, etc. all want to say they are diverse, and so they make themselves just to sound better. i bet this all ties back to being politically correct. so it would be stupid if the movie industry didnt eventually catch on with the rest of the people.

Jubilee was in like, maybe 3 scenes. This kid got a great deal to be considered on the main cast and have 3 scenes and 2 lines. Hugh Jackman had a cameo and was in the movie longer than her. On a side note, Alexandra Shipp is freakin hoooootttt!!!
I'm glad someone said it. I'm shocked that they would include her over Nightcrawler who was actually a big part of the movie.
Mara Okafor I absolutely loved the movie, I thought the new cast members were great. I read a lot of negative reviews talking so much shit about this, that, and the other. While I watched it, I picked at what the negative reviews were mostly. These are young adult actors playing teenagers, and they did a great job playing teenagers. Nightcrawler was awesome, a lot of them were great. Evan Peters as Quicksilver was just brilliant, and I sure hope he has even more screen time in the next installment! And also, I'm seriously crushing on Alexandra Shipp! My gosh...

I've read that most of her scenes were cut from the film
Rogue was cut from X-Men, and Mary Jane was cut from The Amazing Spiderman, amongst many others. IMHO, Jubilee should not have been billed in this movie, it's just a shame when a cameo has more screen time than a character billed as being on the main cast. I grew up watching the animated series and she was such a huge part of that show, it's just disappointing what they ended up doing with her here.

Don't understand why is Lana Condor part of the interview panel, where her somewhat glorified cameo role (talk of the town!) as Jubilee is so insignificant in this movie, whereby she iterally said two lines, amongst couple of cut-scenes showing her blank expression throughout the entire film. *Scratches head

it is difficult for Jubilee to be in the war against Apocalypse... Because her mutant power is only to project small energy plasmoids turned into firecrackers... Her mutant power cannot do any damage to a strong opponent even the giant robots - THE SENTINELS...
That is a misconception. She can do a lot of damage with her power, which ranges from entertaining fireworks to destroying buildings.
+Crescendyr That is not a misconception... How can her mutant power destroys the strong Apocalypse? Plus, the fact that she is not really a fighter. She can do damage to buildings by fire/arson but her powers cannot do any damage to a building.
The misconception is the idea that all she has is pretty lights that are harmless. If we're going to rate a power based on a scenario vs. Apocalypse then ALL of the X-mens' powers are effectively useless.
Her powers CAN. She has destroyed buildings and Shi'ar ships with her power. She can kill people by setting off a burst inside their brain.The sparklers are just the lowest application of her power.
Can you show us where can we find Jubilee's powers can "directly" destroy buildings, Shi'ar Ships and can kill people by setting off a burst inside their brains?

Sucks that Jubilee didn't have a bigger role in the movie... Even tho her powers weren't all that, in the 90s cartoon she was utilized to a great degree. It was awesome to see her but I wished she was used more.. not just cameo. hopefully she comes back on the next movie with a bigger role with her actual fireworks powers not something else.
