    The smile on your face...you looked about to burst with happiness! That looked like a great show. I hope the starfish is doing well - I think it’s fromia indica if it’s the same as mine, or if it develops a red centre it’s fromia monilis. Can’t wait to see it in the tank. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Any action towards making a positive change or impact is one worth doing! People who think that it isn't enough or doesn't make a difference are the ones who are not willing to change their way of thinking. Hope is the way forward.

    I love the use of tubs at this swap! Everything around me only ever had bags. Even the largest marine shop in 50 miles doesn’t use styrofoam to float frags in the bags it’s so unfortunate! I had a little 1” hammer head broken because old it!!! I wish I had the selection you have!

    I had one of those starfish and it didn’t make it. This was back when I didn’t know a lot but if it’s not doing good, it’s legs will start to deteriorate first. So you will have plenty of time to know if it’s going to work for your tank. People say they are hard to keep. Hope it works out man!

    Famoria Starfish, easy to keep as long as your tank is mature enough. They eat algae and bacterial slime. Just make sure your powerheads don't have holes big enough for them to crawl into. Enjoy!

    Another fantastic video! I received my #reefsquad t shirt last week, I love it! I particularly like how you have included the scientific names of the fish on the back. I was surprised however, as I’ve always known the flame angel fish as ‘Centropyge loricula’, but on the back of the shirt it is written as ‘Centropyge loriculus’. I was curious as to why that was. I assume it’s just an updated name? Anyway, love your work, keep it up!

    • @InappropriateReefer
      @InappropriateReefer  6 лет назад +1

      Hey man, thanks for your love and I am glad that you like the shirt!! Great question on the scientific name, it looks like some places use “loriculus” and some places use “loricula,” Wiki pulled up as the first results so I think that’s the one the artist went with. Let me do a little more digging, if we end up switching to “loricula,” I will send you a new shirt as a thank you! 🤓👍 #ReefSquad

    • @eagleironic5815
      @eagleironic5815 6 лет назад +1

      Inappropriate Reefer Hey, no worries mate! After looking through a few of my books I found that The flame angelfish was described in 1874 by a person named Günther. The World Register of Marine Species (www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=402161) suggests that “loriculus” is a misspelling, but I have yet to find the source of this claim. I’m going to keep looking, would love to hear if you find anything. Thanks so much for the response 👍👍👍👍!

    So I ended up finding what they call a holy grail golden torch. It is absolutely beautiful but I also paid $100 for a single head. From what I am reading it’s a good price but that’s definitely the most expensive coral for a single head.

    Any help with aiptasia that is in the early stages and only on the glass? I dont see any on my rockwork, but they are all over my glass. All the treatments I see such as X, are for the mature stages of these things. Thanks!

    • @reefrichs6719
      @reefrichs6719 6 лет назад

      Mark have you tried an aiptasia eating file fish (Acreichthys tomentosus). Do some research before purchasing one as they may have a tendency to nibble other coral. Also there is the Bertha nudibranchs, tip: turn off all pumps and release onto rock structure as they are can be picked at by fish/shrimps if they are released and left to sink to the bottom of tank, and also get suck into power heads if they are left on upon release. Hope this is of some help.good luck.

      Copperhead butterfly will often eat aiptasia as well. I tried using the file fish and the butterfly and the butterfly did a much better job at eating the aiptasia.
