  • At the Strasburg Railroad our friend Thomas The Tank Engine takes passengers on a short trip through the beauty of Lancaster Pennsylvania Countryside. Thomas proves to us he is a Very Useful engine pulling his train and putting on an amazing show with loud stack talk!!! But Thomas would not be the only engine running. 2-10-0 Decapod # 90 also pulles trains along the Road to Paradise.
    Please rate comment and enjoy!

    i have seen other thomases "pulling" trains only to find the dreaded diesel at the back or another steam engine. this one is the real deal though, doing all the work!

    Just amazing this particular Thomas can pull all those cars! Seems like the Strasburg RR has one of the better "Day Outs" in the country.

    You are correct! There is no harm in that & these machines are high on the target list. The parts of these machines sell for CASH with ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTIONS EVER ASKED on the black market. Need some money, I know these parts will provide anyone very well.

    There are several "dummy" Thomas' which are just a shell weighing proabably less than 20 tons. This is the only operating steam engine that is made to look like Thomas and probably weighs 60+ tons. The steam Thomas is owned by the Strasburg Rail Road. They use their Thomas for their Day out with Thomas events

    Selling the parts is a way to correct a cash flow problem for many people. If their home is in foreclosure, these parts can be sold for CASH. They may not be necessarily used for a restoration, but there are people who will purchase just for the possession of the part. It can be done. Besides, these don't generate enough money to be completely self sustaining from the fare box.
    It is time for them to go.
    Junk all the remaining steam locomotives. Cut them apart & melt them down.

    All we need is for CSX to buy that Thomas engine, spray their paint scheme, and let me switch in the yard with it.

    What we call a gauge set, is the steam pressure, air pressure, water level sight glasses for gauges and all the other instrumentation found in the engineers cab of a steam locomotive. Some may call them the instrumentation package.
    I know what rail gauge is, but a locomotive gauge set is in the engineers cabin to monitor the operation within the boiler or upon the engine.
    People cut them off with a battery operated sawzall for a quick exit. Then in a shop, the fittings can be taken apart.

    It is the real steam Thomas; the only one in the USA. All the other Thomas's are not a real engine but are pulled and pushed by another engine.

    Say what you want! You'll never change my opinion, and from what i know now of your attitude and mindset you'll DEFINITLY never be able to cut up those engines! Face it genius, you CAN'T cut them up, they're protected! And even if they weren't, YOU wouldn't be a threat! Haha!

    One cuts off the gauges to sell them. I am just letting people know where the bank is, what is inside & what can be done with those items obtained. I have not told anyone what to do. What they do with the information is their own business.
    It is nothing more than saying that a telephone call 911 will go to an emergency response operator. I am not telling anyone to make that call unnecessarily.
    Believe whatever you want of what I have said. There is no crime committed in providing information!

  • @Cockroach2008
    @Cockroach2008 12 лет назад

    I don't intend to change your mind. Just stating my comment. Maybe I won't be able to cut these soon.
    I am just letting the desperate people know where the parts are & they can be sold on the black market for CASH with ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTIONS EVER ASKED!
    There are people here who look at these & want the CASH these machines from the sale of it's parts. They are not as well protected as you may think. Easy access.
    Just letting people know where the bank is & what is inside. No crime in that!

  • @Cockroach2008

    Question #1. No.
    Question #2. No.
    Question #3. No.
    Question #4. No.
    Question #5. No.
    I am telling people where the bank is & what is inside. What they elect to do with that information is their own choice. But it can be VERY REWARDING!
    The gauge sets sell very quickly on the black market. The whistle & bell would too. There are many other parts on those steam locomotives which would sell quickly on the black market.
    Those machines are the banks! There are parts worth plenty of CASH inside!

  • @mikado1555

    Are you talking about steam engine parts sell for cash and no questions are asked on the black market?
    Who would buy steam engine parts on the black market? Not anyone restoring one as it is rare that parts from one engine are compatible for another engine, especially it is another class.
    Selling only parts for scrap does not make logical sense either as some of the parts are only a few tons or less.
    However, at the Strasburg the steam engines are generating revenue (money) so why scrap them?

    Your apology is accepted. You are having a conversation with an expert who knows about CASH & someone with the knowledge that steam locomotive parts sell very quickly on the black market with ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTIONS EVER ASKED!
    I am just letting the desperate people know where the parts are & that they may be had. If Strasburg Rail Road did not have steam locomotives to operate, they would bankrupt. It would be nice to see some desperate people helped with the CASH from many of those parts.

  • @mikado1555
    @mikado1555 12 лет назад

    Now are you talking about Strasburg scrapping their engines to help other people with money?
    Are you saying that museums/people who own steam engines should scrap them to help other people with money?
    Are you encouraging people to just go up to any old steam engine and take parts off to sell them as scrap?
    Are you encouraging people to take something that does not belong to them and cash it in?
    Are you promoting something that is illegal?

  • @mikado1555
    @mikado1555 12 лет назад

    So cut off brass gauges to scrap them? Hm, does not seem like that little bit of brass is worth a lot in scrap prices.
    But I guess that you are promoting anyone going up to any locomotive and cutting pieces off, even locomotives that they themselves do not own. I guess it can work, as long as you are not caught by the police and charged with theft.
    But I guess this reasoning is beyond your thought process. I can't argue with an idiot and clearly you have more expierence with that than I do.
