It’s my opinion that Steve Perry was the best vocalist of this era of music. To take on trying to cover his vocals, and to do a damn fine job of it, is impressive. Bravo.

My favorite "best singer in the world" era was when Levi Stubbs of the Four Topps was cooking
without question. Steve was the best. it takes some searching to find it, but there are links where Steve's voice is isolated. then you can hear the pure tone.

Lead didn’t over sing - he knows his lane and mastered it beautifully as well as the other musicians - impeccable!! 👏

It’s so important that bands like yours exist. The music you play is timeless. I have kids that are 10 and 13. The music today just doesn’t cut it. Channels like yours allows my kids hear what “real” music should sound like. Thank you!

My teenagers mostly love classic rock, I was relieved to discover, but some of the newer stuff they listen to is painful to my ears. I suspect our parents found a lot of our music to be the same, however.

Once again..I was reluctant to listen to Lex Lab. Taking on Steve Perry's vocals and Neil Schon's riffs is a tall order. I am a die hard Journey fan. I've seen Journey in concert over a dozen times. And once again you guys nailed it. Great job Lex Lab! You have won me over. I am a bonafide fan of Lexington Lab!

it's obviously hard to compete with steve perry's vocals..because of the timbre of his voice...but this is as close as you can get.. :-)
They definitely don’t make music as great as this in today’s time. The music this band plays are timeless classics.

my favorite journey song. Trying to get young people to understand why 70s and 80s music is the best can be challenging, This is a classis example of why the 70s to the mid 90s is the best music.
kind of coincides with bands no longer recording to together at the same time. (imo)

I'm a huge Journey fan and this song has one of Neal's best solos, maybe his best. Neal is not easy to play. You nailed it, nice job.
I just discovered this group, and am major binging now. I follow several "cover bands", Foxes and Fossils, MonaLisa Twins, and others. You guys are at the top of my favorite type of groups, keeping the oldies alive in the wasteland of modern "music". The talents of everyone here is extraordinary. Your musical recreations are as good as or better than the original. I just clicked on the entire catalogue thumbnail, and am so looking forward to it taking over my life. This is going to take awhile. Many thanks to RUclips for providing the venue for this to even be possible.

@@Hettepop You are right about Leonid and Friends, they are amazing. I saw Chicago twice in Amarillo, once in the 70's before we lost Terry, and again a couple of years ago. James and Lee are still blowing the horns, and Robert still mashing the keys like they did 50 years ago. They have a talented group of young men in place of Walter, Peter, and Danny, but of course nobody can replace Terry. Rest in peace My Brother, we miss you.

Beautiful harmonies. Bass tone is perfect. Whippersnapper drummer is rock solid. Lead guitar is spot on. Lead vocalist has such a pure clarity to his voice. Top shelf musicianship all the way around. Great job.
