Some good guessing in there! I can confirm that Ellis can still move after you deposit enough expenite for an upgrade. And regarding the Ramrod, we are keeping all the terminals, spawn rooms and drop pod close together just like on the Space Rig.
AYYY good to hear, would love to talk rogue core with you one of these days once you guys feel comfortable showing and sharing. That and when you can lift your nose from the grindstone 😂
Parallel game development with a similar formula has a major risk and it is that it starts to have a cannibalistic effect on the player count. I can see public lobbies will be fewer on DRG since it will be compounded by lack of meaningful updates and Rogue Core's priority to EA and V1.0.
Well DRG has essentially run its course, one more season for a send off and then the community and modders will be left to their own devices while GSG invests in Rogue Core as their next project
Also GSG is a company. They do need to make a new product to pay their rent and salaries. Expecting eternal free updates for a by now fairly old game that is not a live service seems a bit unrealistic.
I mean, counting from DRG EA, the game soon will be 8 yrs old if not already. For that length to have so many FREE updates for the game sounds almost alien in gaming world of the end of 2024, which only some BIG players pulled out, like fortnite. Also consider that the amount of content for a new player is enough for 250+ hours already. And as was already said before me - s6 will probably be the last big update, and after DRG would be in service mode.
i hope it’s not an overwatch 2 situation where everyone’s waiting for a new game that we know little about as their live game dies from lack of content. i think if there is another delay after this one, regardless of how good rogue core is, people will probably have moved on already, and this delay already feels brutal. falconeer look fun doe
That's the blessing of DRG being what it is IMO, as long as you've got 2 or 3 people the game is as alive as ever on a tactile level, but yeah the player counts are already taking a spooky dip. Though I feel like DRG is probably going to average 5k until the sun blows up, so there's that.
Deep rock galactic being as good of a game as it is I don't think losing players will be that big of a concern. Like deep rock galactic getting updates doesn't really change it that much at the end of the day anyway. A new mission type? Not much, biggest impact is with probably just new enemies, then weapons and grenades, and hopefully we get better perks.
@@AxisKronosIt helps that game is also p2p so there's no need to worry about server upkeep. If DRG somehow died this very moment it should still be playable 10 years from now.

Looks like I'll continue to wait for DRG updates. They had a dearth of content and now it's a desert. I come back and play a mission occasionally but after over 600 hours I don't find myself wanting to come back often.
The 40s stationary upgrade drone will definitely cause issues. The other issue is if you get attacked during that 2m upgrade time. Do enemies stop moving, or can you get attacked while upgrading? Damn, so Season 5 is going to be 2 years long?

yeah, it worries me a bit since it can create conflict between players. One big part of why toxic players dotn exist in DRg is precisely BECAUSE there is no good reason to fight off with teammates over something (sole exception would be supplies, but "1 for each" is simple enough that everyone can instinctively agree on it). Here though, what happens the second two players love a gun but only one of them can get it?
The reclaimers having the same voice as the drg dwarves is very disappointing, considering they are supposed to be unique and different from them. GSG can do much better and make all classes unique, and even add female dwarves, which the community has been asking for ages
I mean they've got one voice actor that works, why get 4 more? I think its pretty cool how drg doesn't have different voices for classes so when there's 2 of the same class they don't sound stupid with 2 people sounding the same and rest sounding different. (also i kinda doubt anyone's been seriously asking for female dwarves lol)

Of course
It would be a shame if the turn-based upgrade system brings the game to a halt.
yeah, it worries me a bit since it can create conflict between players.
@ yeah, the most conflict i’ve ever had in DRG is getting Molly when i’m surrounded by loot.
where grapple :0
The reclaimers having the same voice as the drg dwarves is very disappointing, considering they are supposed to be unique and different from them. GSG can do much better and make all classes unique, and even add female dwarves, which the community has been asking for ages
I mean they've got one voice actor that works, why get 4 more? I think its pretty cool how drg doesn't have different voices for classes so when there's 2 of the same class they don't sound stupid with 2 people sounding the same and rest sounding different.
(also i kinda doubt anyone's been seriously asking for female dwarves lol)
I mean, are you surprised considering the 4 DRG dwarves also all have the same voice actor, with pretty much only a change in pitch and speed?
@@aarepelaa1142 they had to make by with 1 VA because they were a small studio with little budget. Now they hired more people and have money to hire more VAs
Seems bad to me. Longer missions, faster tougher more annoying enemies. Timer pushing you forwards so minimal set up periods.
I'd say the missions in DRG are at the verge of being too long already. Everything about this game seems like something I would not enjoy.
She go rogue on my core till Im deep
I think that waiting another year for an update is fine. We're not stuck with rockpox, we have a seasonal event with a lot of replayability value.
Tbh rogue core sounds kinda boring
Season 5 is only 6 months old
I think we should be happy and not upset ghost ship is branching out
ROGUE CORE feels pointless to me. it does less then DRG in it's core and does it worst.
I don't want longer missions, I have a Job, hobbies and so on. DRG missions are just as a gameplay session need to be, and if you want more play another mission.
I think RC will kill DRG and fail to replace it in the same time. but we will see.
I got the same feelings about ROGUE CORE.
