Just recently, my daughter was meant to be picked from school by her dad. Usually, she’s informed who picks her up on daily basis. She disappointed as to “Where’s my daddy?”
Dear parents, here is the thing: when she saw her me instead of her dad, she felt disappointed. For me, her feelings were valid and normal for a four and half-year-old child.
I chose to let her imagine her desire to see her dad. I chose to let her have the experience of imagining her dad picking her up which indeed satisfied her, it made her smile. This in turn helped me put her tantrum to the minimum; otherwise, it could have been a complete meltdown.
Dear parents, parenting is beautiful and very fulfilling if only we are equipped with the right knowledge and skills required to parent our children at every stage of their development. Having wisdom to know what to do per time puts us and them in a state of calm.

There is power in imagination, both physically and spiritually. Physically, it makes one feel good, and spiritually, when it is back up with faith, it makes one to be happy and hopeful.
