Argentina is one of the countries with a rich history of dinosaur fossil remains. The region known as the Ischigualasto Formation, in the province of San Juan, is particularly famous for its fossil deposits dating back to the Triassic period.
Another important site is the Los Colorados Formation, located in the province of La Rioja. Fossil remains of dinosaurs dating back to the early and middle Jurassic have been found here. Among the notable discoveries are the remains of sauropod dinosaurs such as Argentinosaurus, one of the largest dinosaurs known.
The Patagonia region of southern Argentina has also been a prominent location for dinosaur fossil discoveries. In the Neuquén Formation and the Rio Colorado Formation, fossils of various types of dinosaurs have been found, from giant sauropods to carnivorous theropods. Among the notable finds are Giganotosaurus, one of the largest known terrestrial carnivores.
A group of important researchers have discovered, almost unintentionally, in the Department of Sanagasta, a significant number of nests with their petrified eggs and that today can be seen through its theme park related to dinosaurs.
There are two types of circuits in the place: one referring to the scientific research on the findings of the eggs in the area and another circuit referring to the multiple existing findings on dinosaurs in Argentina and where they are recreated on a large scale. In both cases, they are sure to be amazed and fascinated.
