Hi Chris, thanks. I listen to Planet Rock. I made this before I fully understood about YT's copyright policies. I'm surprised I haven't had a copyright claim yet! I have got written permission from Planet Rock to wear their Rockstock teeshirts in my videos though! I've been to every Rockstock except 2016
Thanks Cyd, excellent video, made the job easy. I'd to get the bumper off to get at the front airbag sensor. Unfortunately the sensor pins and the connector pins are badly corroded, new sensor and connector required I think, if I can find them.
Thanks! Suggest removing the wheel well screws first by turning the wheel all the way left, then all the way right to make those screws much more easily accessible.
@@onetouchgarage4503 I had to ask though. The manager of one of our prototyping departments is called Christopher Noble too and I've been having a lot of interaction with him lately. 🌍🛠
Yes, you need to disconnect the IC mounting screws from the rad, so you defo need to get the bumper off. Do let us know how you get on and any tips you find.
I'm about to do the same on the passenger side with the ballast replacement. Was it easy? I assume once you pull out the light it's just unscrewing a few bolts to release the ballast?
Thank you! If you’re still listening to these comments, do you know where to source those top plastic fixings? My search terms are not rendering good results.
It's got integral clips. You need to get in behind it to release them, so best to take the bumper off first. You can put the bumper back on without it and simply push fit your new or refurbed one later.
I have a question if my saab 9-3 didn’t came with fog lights and want to install fog lights would I have to buy new wiring or can I use the same one that connects to my side marker bumper lights?
@@CycloneCyd Hey Cyd other question. You have any idea where I can get a new transmission dipstick for these cars? mine was snapped by someone putting the dipstick back in

Thanks, great video. The headlight washer tubes are mentioned, but not disconnected or removed. Can somebody point me to a video or manual on how to remove and replace the headlight washers and hoses? Thank.
Once you've got the bumper off, the washers are easy to remove. There's a spring clip that slides into place on the washer body. Just pull it out - use pliers as it's a nail buster!! the hoses are held in place with standard spring hose clips. All real easy to do promise!! Thanks for watching and interacting. Do come back and let us know how you get on.
Thanks for the video Cyclone Cyd , this one was very helpful => Question off topic , I saw on the Video that your have mounted a set of Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres . What about the handling on dry road ? Cheers from Portugal
That is correct, RS3s all round. been running them for about 6 years now. I used to use Eagle F1s before that. These are way way superior in the wet compared to the F1s. Being from Portugal, I guess you're not as concerned about wet performance 😂😂 The ultimate grip in the dry is about the same as F1. I do like the RS3 in the dry because they are nicely progressive at the limit. Too many tyres have outstanding ultimate grip, but when they reach the limit, BOOM 🌪, you're off in a flash because grip just falls to zero so fast. With these they slide a bit first, give you that warning through the seat of your pants so you get those vital milliseconds. Years ago I used to use that in rear drive rally cars to go round corners tail out. In the Saab it gives the ESP time to weave it's magic. I can recommend them, especially for the money, around £70 a tyre in the Uk fully fitted.
Can I remove the lower grille and the front lip spoiler without removing the whole bumper? Like many people both of mine are in various stages of brokeness and it will take a few days to try and fix, so I'd like to be able to still drive the car. thanks for your reply, and thanks for all of your other videos!!
Thank you for your reply. One of my fans is faulty, only one other operation is left. I hope that I can replace it by removing the front Bumper and removing the faulty fan. It takes 6.5 cm of clearance to remove the faulty fan.(感謝你的回覆,我的其中一個風扇故障,只剩另一個運作,希望可以透過拆前擋,拆下故障的風扇來替換。它需要6.5公分的間隙來取出故障的風扇。)
