    Dear Captain. Could You explain why do we change from IAS to Mach in climb and vice versa in descent? I dont understand how the IAS reduces as we climb to 35000ft. Why cant we keep the same indicated speed

      This is all to do with the effects of Mach at altitude. RTM curves in your ATPL ground school
