My parents also have a Mercedes-Benz and they normally beep when things are around you, on your sides, back, front, blind spots, it's very annoying but very helpful for preventing accidents

I just wanted to let y’all know that cops have started to put people in their car to talk to them because it’s their safe spot and the feel more comfortable to sit in their car instead of standing on the side of the road! My brother and dad are both cops and they both bring people in their car for that reason! But he had no reason to be rude sorry you had a bad experience with a cop, not all are rude!

i’m not sure about different states, but in oklahoma police officers are allowed to ask for the ID of anyone in the vehicle. I’ve heard that it’s because they are trying to see if anyone in the vehicle has a warrant or any pending charges. i’m sorry that happened to you guys though! :(
