@harveykeeler2661 Your comment prompted me to do some checking, and sure enough, that is from the 66. Interesting that the body represents a 64. I'm thinking that maybe one could use the grille/bumper from the 63 wagon?? Thanks for watching!
@@ericsmodelgarageI was gonna mention about the 66 Nova grille and bumpers but he beat me to it. lol The altered wheelbase kit actually represents a 65 Chevy ll Nova. I’ll keep my eyes open. If I see one I’ll holler. God bless brother!
Welcome back Eric. Ihave the same Chevy II Altered wheel base Chevy. Im thinking of using this kit in combination with the '63 Chevy II wagon. So nice of Robert to gift you these kits. I also have the JoHan promo '55 Pontiac. I'm looking to see if the AMT '55 Chevy or Monogram '55 Chevy interior will fit. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week.
There WAS an old Ford monster truck back in the 80’s called Frankenstein. I saw it here in Omaha in the way back. I don’t recall what year it was, but you could Google it to see. If it was a different year, you can always do your own rendition.
MCW is selling a lot of OEM color paints. You can probably find that iris/lilac color for the Imperial from them. If you have a paint code, he can probably mix up a bottle of paint for you, if he doesn't already have some. I saw him at the Akron show a couple of months ago.
The fellow who bought a bunch of the old original Johan tools comes to many model show and swap meets. I've seen him a few times in Detroit, and I think I saw him in Columbus this year. He has quite a few bare bones kits for sale like you got there in the box with '55 Pontiac Star Chief, that he makes new with the old tools. Clear windows for the models come from a 3rd party supplier he uses, and he said that is delaying him right now from producing more kits. From another source, I've heard that not all the old tools were sold to him, and that has become a bit of a dispute.
The updated release AMT Nova SS is at my Hobby Lobby, Eric. It may be in yours, too. I'm going to build the factory stock version with mine (not the pro stocker pictured on the box).
Absolutely super cool stuff Eric. Some awesome kits!! Love it. Have you checked scalefinishes at all for that color? I really like the way his factory matches look. Love that 50 Ford too.
Many of the AWB cars used the same generic chassis. Subtle differences are for each one. Kit #6556 was issued in 84 The Pontiac looks like a Oakey Spalding Issued kit. He owns the surviving Johan dies.

You can always find a nova body from a rebuilder and if it's painted just strip it. Just a thought
