In the later 80's Norm's office (I was in his district) arranged 4 tours in Washington DC for myself, & my 3 children. With docents waiting for us we visited & toured (missed the Kennedy center), the National Archives, FBI building, and the US Printing Office.

Oh no! Not Ross Marlowe! I loved Guiding Light from my early teens till I had kids and my life got too busy with work and raising a family. I kinda sorta kept up with it, but didn't watch it rabidly like when I was young. Ross (Jerry Ver Dorn) was like everyone's uncle. The GL family was like family to all who watched. I did manage to watch the very last episode of GL, and it was a huge walk down memory lane, with all the old characters coming back for the final moments!
Really got into Guiding Light when the character of Ross was dating the character, Evie, and continued watching through the Ross and Mauve, Kelly and Morgan, Nola and Floyd, and Reva and Josh era. Oh no! Not Ross Marlowe! I loved Guiding Light from my early teens till I had kids and my life got too busy with work and raising a family. I kinda sorta kept up with it, but didn't watch it rabidly like when I was young. Ross (Jerry Ver Dorn) was like everyone's uncle. The GL family was like family to all who watched. I did manage to watch the very last episode of GL, and it was a huge walk down memory lane, with all the old characters coming back for the final moments!
Really got into Guiding Light when the character of Ross was dating the character, Evie, and continued watching through the Ross and Mauve, Kelly and Morgan, Nola and Floyd, and Reva and Josh era. So sad that so many of the great soap actor/actresses from the 70's and 80's have passed these past few years. They gave us some memorable afternoon TV moments...

I will be so glad when our "enemy, death is no more" (1 Corinthians 15:25,26 and Revelation 21:3,4) Thank you for putting this video together. Reminds me of another scripture...Ecclesiastes 9:11 how "the swift do not always win the race, nor the mighty the battle..." no matter who we are we are subject to age, sickness, mental health ailments, and death. So grateful to know that death will one day no longer affect anyone. Condolences to all family and friends.
