  • Tools needed:
    36mm Socket(1 cv joint nut)
    18mm Socket(2 strut bolts and nuts)
    15mm Socket(1 stabilizer rod)
    Knife(cutting the cv boot)
    Car Jack
    Pliers

    Thank you! This is the best step by step guide. Just replaced mine in less than an hour. I know if i had not watched this i would have removed the brake disc!

    Just so you’re are aware. The CV joint does come with the correct clips so they are not incorrect - You just need the correct tool to clamp them. I’d advise also using metal hose clips around the boot.

    How do you remove the stabilizer rod? Mine just turns but i can't get it out

      You need an Alan Key to to hold it and use a spanner to turn the nut. Without an alan key, it will keep spinning.

      Hi, these cv joints are cheap especially when doing the job yourself. Less than £30

      @eliaselkadi2891 Some cars have a plug under the gearbox to remove oil. My citroen doesn't. I am not sure if citroen and peugeot were one company in 2002. However, when you remove the short driveshaft, put a bucket underneath to catch oil or else is going to be a mess.
      Dont pull driveshafts out, gently tap them out from the gearbox with a chisel to come out.
