Oh, this was a really good reaction to this song. You pretty much summed up everything that I thought about it, about his openness and the audacity people who call it trash have. When there's songs like Walk on water, Castle and Arose, River, Believe, In your head on it, where he basically spills his insides on the ground for everyone to see, it's incredible that people are so spiteful. They could say "Oh... well, that song didn't quite hit it with me" or something, but tearing it down like they did is as if someone finds a therapy-diary and reads it out load to the class and everyone laughs at it.
Critique is one thing. Calling something "trash" is NOT critiquing. (also, I love your accent. It's such a cool juxtaposition to the American lyrics :-) )
