I bought a disability insurance through my employer. I had an injury then became gravely ill for nearly 10 years. I was disabled before I was terminated. I could never collect on the policy, after my state disability benefits ran out, I had no income. It devastated me, I lost everything, home, car, savings, and have been homeless. Finally my health turned around and I am returning to work. Other people I know who had to use and Aflac policy loved it. Learn from me buy Aflac.

It’s crazy all the comments about customer service sucking. My district manager legit uses the agent hotline the moment a client elapses their payout period without getting their money. She also taught us to tell our clients that they need to call use the moment they believe they have a claim.
Someone might break a leg and want to file a claim for that broken leg. But if they call us, depending on the plan, we’ll help them file the claim for the ambulance, hospital stay etc. get every Pennie’s worth from Aflac.
I thought all locations were customer service based. I’m not even a salesman lol, I was hired cause I’m good with case management and we stick close to our clients after opening an account.

Be careful what you what plans you get, unfortunately COVID illness does not cover, something no one plans ahead for different type of illness. My spouse passed due to COVID and Aflac did not payout due to the illness was not in policy

I am so so sorry to hear about your loss. You should reach out to your agent, because if it was not a pre existing condition it should have been covered. You usually have to have the policy for 30 days to be covered for an illness. Definitely reach out to your agent for some clarity. I sure would.

Companies might consider that a pre existing condition unless you had the coverage before you were hurt. Have a Happy New Year

ZERO Specifics. How much does it cost? How? much will it pay? How long does it last? Do you have to keep paying while you're out? What situations are covered and which are not. What types of situations are not covered? Are there tons of paperwork to fill out to get the money. Is it our doctors or your doctors that decide whether or not you can work. I am a single man and will never be pregnant so why would I need it? Etc.... etc...

Don't waste your money. All they care about is collecting your money. I tried calling them and after an hour waiting, never connected. I tried for 5 days in a row, and never got to talk to anyone. Customer service is worse than the gooberment . I have never been able to talk to a real person.

AFLAC is garbage. It's more difficult and painful with more frustration and hassle to file a claim than the actual procedure.

So question, If my employer has in place a 'AD&D' already AND I chose to get it , can I also get AFLAC to have additional coverage? Or does these policies depend on similar coverages and negate coverages or deemed over coverage (if there is such a tern).
Two, What about disability like I get injured at work or Off work, and it affects my position to work as being say 10% disabled etc? How is permanent disability covered and is it a one time payout scenario?
Does this cover different from being On the job injury VS off the job?
Ho does That aspect come into play?
    thx

Usually accidental death and disability policies you can double up on coverage, but I’d speak to your HR representative for your company to know what the specifics are
