While Kösem is being held captive, he manages to reach very important information! While Ahmed makes concessions to save Kösem, Kösem Sultan puts herself in great danger by trying to escape! As Halime Sultan learns that Mustafa is sick, she goes to him, ignoring all orders! Zülfikar and Hümaşah continue to get closer to each other! Humaşah's husband, Hasan Pasha, comes to the palace. Hasan Pasha, who learns that Hümaşah Sultan wants to divorce him, goes crazy! He threatens Hümaşah so much that Hümaşah is cornered. Kösem, on the other hand, thinks that it was Hümaşah Sultan who put her in this situation and takes action to learn her secret. While Kösem Sultan is taking firm steps towards power, Safiye Sultan is coming back to life with a miracle! As Kösem Sultan prepares to defeat Hümaşah, great changes begin to occur for everyone in the harem, especially the prince Mustafa.
All hope is lost for Handan when it is discovered that Ahmed has smallpox. Safiye Sultan, on the other hand, made an agreement with Halime to put Prince Mustafa on the throne without wasting any time. The day Halime has been waiting for has finally arrived.
With Prince Mustafa getting sick, the dynasty is in danger of extinction. Safiye is devastated when she learns that Fahriye caused this crisis. Safiye, who is cornered, makes a surprise move and announces her new candidate for the throne.
With the spread of the disease news, the city returns to the fire place. The people of the palace are face to face with death. In this difficult test, Anastasia sees Safiye's true face for the first time. It's time for Anastasia to take control of fate!
Magnificent Century: Kosem is about Kosem Sultan married to the "State-i Aliyya", when her six-year-old son ascended to the throne, having the position of "Regent of the Sultanate", as well as the power gained by defeating all her enemies and becoming a sultan who brought the world to her knees with her regency. The power of Kosem Sultan became the greatest authority of the state through Murad IV, will be shaken by the iron fist of Sultan Murad, who wants to seize power. I like how calm, collected and calculated Kosem plays. She knows how to use their own traps against them. I bet she could even defeat series Hurrem and use her anger and impulsiveness against her.

Fortunately, there were some sultans who let princes in The Kafes out sometimes to go hunting together, be allowed some company with a few sterile women, or attend some events. The Kosem series lets us see a little of what is what like to be locked up because you were a prince.

now i know why hurrem fans seems to dislike kosem and always compare both character. Kosem got it all so easy, everyone already like her since the day she took a step in that palace. everyone wanted to be Kosem ally. every Sultan's decision always so biased if it comes to Kosem. Meanwhile Hurrem path is really difficult to get to where she is. she got beaten, burned, everyone hate her, they took her child, poisoned, kidnapped, even Sultan Suleyman exiled her once or twice. I love both character but i have to admit that Hurrem more suffer than Kosem in their early episode of MC. i know in later episode Hurrem got a beautiful death but Kosem got killed.

Poor little Mustafa. Broke my heart that he was denied his mothers love when he was so young. All his mothers fault for her determination to have him on the Throne when he wasn't destined to rule. He could have been a valued part of the family if not for his mother.
