I did an A/B, and it wasn't a waste of time. It was missing bottom-end. I ran it through a spectrum analyzer and there is NOTHING below 120Hz, like you put a HPF on it. Above 120Hz, it is a near match for a direct cable, which is nice. Battery life was 8 hours first time full-to-dead, and that went down by 25% on subsequent charges. The phantom power cuts transmitter life significantly (from 6 hours to 4 hours) but I won't be using them for condensers due to the missing low-end. I have two sets and will use them to wirelessly send to fill speakers at reception events or for VOG announcements and wandering questions from the audience, not critical audio. They work great for that up to about 50-feet through one wall, not quite 100-feet unobstructed.
Thanks for sharing! I appreciate it. I still use this one quite often and it works great. 8 hours of battery life is awesome, and even if it's lower, I don't mind, as long as it survives 4 hours. I did just release a video about setting expecations on budget/cheap wireless: ruclips.net/video/kUNBHi5F3aQ/видео.htmlsi=a_tek37zIs7cyrSF If there is nothing below 120, I think that's actually great for microphones. Might cut a little out of PA systems if you don't have a separate channel for subs though. Wireless range always depends on the venue location and the RF of that environment. Sometimes it will be 50 ft, sometimes 100, sometimes 10... it all depends. Again, thanks for sharing your experience!

Hi, I have to agree, great product, no latency, no noise, long battery life. I bought one and after trying two more pieces. The only problem is to tune the frequency for each pair. When I turn on the receiver of another pair, the frequency of the already turned on pair is tuned. I have to go with the pair that is on a bit further than the first pair that is on. It would be ideal if the set frequency for individual pairs no longer changes. Do you have any experience or recommendations when switching on multiple pairs? How to avoid this problem? PS: I apologize for my bad English, I am writing through google translator.
@@ScottUhlMusic So today I really tried it. It is necessary to first pair the 1st pair, put it aside a bit, take the 2nd pair, pair and so on. I paired all my 3 pairs this way and the individual frequencies hold. Have a nice day.

I bought a Donner EM1 headphone amplifier. Very happy with it except for being tethered to a wire. I have an XLR cable running from one of my Behringer XR18 bus outputs to the Donner. Is there any reason I couldn't use one of these wireless XLR adapters for this application? To clarify, I would plug the XLR transmitter piece into the XR18 bus output and the XLR receiver into my Donner EM1.
You cannot use multiple receivers at the same time. But setting one on and the other one off and switching between them, I haven’t tried that. But I don’t see what not
Thanks for the heads up and the giveaway. I entered the giveaway. Would love to use these to connect my band's modelers to our XR18. I wonder if 3 units used at the same time would cause any issues. May have to try it out.
My advice is always to be careful using too much cheap wireless all at once. So it depends on how many other wireless you use at once and how close they are to each other. It’s definitely possible if you follow best practices 🤘
If I connect this to a Behringer P2, will this work as a wireless in ear? And if so how many can I use next to each other so the frequencies doesn’t interfere with each other. Could be a relatively cheap option for wireless in ears.
Great info yet again! Have a question, Have you found a decent mic clip that holds a 58 type mic but can be quick released with that adapter in place for handheld use? Butterfly clips don't hold the mic firmly enough. I have one of the Xvive adapters [problematic to use] with a similar configuration and other than a quick detach stand adapter, I've found all other mic clips unusable. Can't take the mic off the stand as the adapter will prevent detachment. I do location recording/FOH with a Mackie DL32S. Looks like I can find uses for this adapter. Love your channel, saves me a whole lot of trial and error. BTW: Just checked and Amazon has it listed as "Currently Unavailable" I would have bought a half dozen for my rig.
Thanks! And bummer it’s not on sale anymore, it might just be back ordered. But I haven’t really looked into those. I like my wireless Shure clip, it works well but I don’t take it off very often
Hey Scott! I baught four of them and tried to use them parallel. The problem is, I could not them manage to get all four transmitting in different frequencies. I tried to use 2 units for a stereo PA system and another 2 units for 2 floor monitor speakers on stage. Unfortunately, everytime I turned on one another transmitter, it was pairing with the first receiver or if there were at least with the one having the lowest frequency set. Even if I walk away more than 100 feet so the first receiver couldn’t pair with the second transmitter because of the distance, it repaired itself automatically with the first receiver, after having returned to the stage for a couple of minutes. Where my mistake? Or does it really not work like I wanted to?
Do not use 4 of them all at once. If you want more wireless at once, you have to buy the higher end stuff: ruclips.net/video/Xi2JcMomjQ0/видео.htmlsi=L64tBoiZE86bQWAB these won’t go 100 feet as well. Hi Scott, you have become my go-to channel for gear, especially for wireless stuff. GREAT job on this channel man! hey, I hope it's okay to ask on GTRS guitar ( your video on that is from a year ago so not sure if I asked there, if you would notice it, so I'll ask here): Is there a way to play bluetooth audio via the GTRS or via its GWF4 footswitch? I know there is a way to play it with Prime P2, but wondering if possible with only the GTRS. I bought the same S800 you have - I LOVE THIS GUITAR!
Thanks! And I don’t believe there is a way to connect a Bluetooth connection to the guitar (I’m assuming you mean for silent practice to practice along to a song)
@@ScottUhlMusicHi. Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks for replying Scott. One thing they can/should add to the Prime P2 is the "guitar emulator" they have with the GTRS app where you can apply a different guitar sim to each of the 5 switches including Tele, LesPaul etc.. it's really nice. I must say I expected much of this guitar and still I'm positively surprised. Really love it.
@@ScottUhlMusicHi There! I found out that there is actually a way to stream audio through the GTRS guitar. There is a "GTRS Audio" bluetooth signal. Once connected, you can play songs via the connected device (your phone), it would go through the GTRS guitar and output along with the guitar own signal. Really nice !
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for the reply. I bought a different brand of wireless mic adapters and they did not work. Plug and play with no mic/ line or 48v feature. Double the cost. When i purchase and use, i will let you know how it well it worked for me. Again. Thank you!
I tried using the link but it shows not currently available. I use a headset mic as a drummer and ideally would like to fine a body pack that goes to a battery powered receiver that has 48v phantom that would plug directly into the mixer. Any thoughts
I was able to order the Airsync from your link. The error on my part was that I I tried using the QR code to take me to the link. I received it and used it yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. Others had reported it was noisy but I had no problems. Thanks again for your review.
@scott not sure if you’ll see this comment on an old video but is it possible to transmit from one TX to multiple RX’s? I am currently using the xvive system and the thing I enjoy is being able to set multiple RX’s on the same frequency.
@@ScottUhlMusic actually I do this on a regular basis. When I need additional coverage, I will use one xvive TX and 4 RX’s (same frequency). It has worked flawlessly every time. The only time I have ever ran into issues was when I tried to daisy chain a speaker to another. This would place an RX and TX on different frequencies in close proximity on the in and out on the speaker.
Does this wireless system work even when it is being charged? If it does, is a Mic more sensitive to noise? I have an LR Baggs Para-Acoustic DI. My phantom power source for it died, and I was wondering if this Wireless XLR Adapter might make a good replacement.

Can you use this for guitars to amp?
I would use a wireless guitar system for that
These are budget wireless, and have limitations ruclips.net/video/Xgw96rY4TAc/видео.htmlsi=EkZYGeI9wHjWSxgQ
Will they fit in channels right next to one another? They sure look pretty boxy. Not sure if this would work with BOTH the L and R outputs on a PA?
Not two right next to each other, but get a 1ft xlr cable and connect the 2nd one to it 👍
@ScottUhlMusic has this changed your mind as to a previous vid you had avoid using 2.4ghz wireless on overcrowding?
This isn’t in 2.4ghz. So No, my opinion on 2.4ghz is still the same 👍
Hi Scott, you have become my go-to channel for gear, especially for wireless stuff.
@ScottUhlMusic Great content as usual. Just curious. Can you use these to record through A DAW into your computer for home recording?
Thanks! And sure, you can if you wanted to 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for the reply. I bought a different brand of wireless mic adapters and they did not work. Plug and play with no mic/ line or 48v feature. Double the cost. This will work perfectly for my needs. My computer is in a 3 by 6 ft space. A non wired mic in the living room is great! No Cables!
That I don’t know
I was able to order the Airsync from your link. The error on my part was that I I tried using the QR code to take me to the link. I received it and used it yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. Others had reported it was noisy but I had no problems. Thanks again for your review.
Hey, is it possible to charge them while recording?
You can charge them while using yes 👍
but how about the gain of that.. im having a trouble with joyo mw1 gain.
The gain is nice. It has mic or line, which is more than these cheap ones usually have 👍
@scott not sure if you’ll see this comment on an old video but is it possible to transmit from one TX to multiple RX’s? I am currently using the xvive system and the thing I enjoy is being able to set multiple RX’s on the same frequency.
You shouldn’t be able to do that on the xvive. You can’t transmit multiple ones at once I don’t believe
I haven’t used it while plugged in, but with 8 hours of battery life these should be great. Even with phantom power and cutting it down to around 4 👍
I'm curious to hear the response too. This is the thing that's keeping me from buying them
@@zackharper1308 Yeah, if it can't work while charging, it's usefulness is significantly decreased.
If I use 2 will they plug in side by side ?
In a mixer, I don’t think so, you might need a short xlr extender
Can you plug right in your guitar and amp?
I would get a wireless guitar system for that instead of an xlr system
First comment! I really like the idea of using something like this to connect powered mains.
Definitely works great for that! I used it at another show that I didn’t get footage for using it for a wireless PA and it worked awesome!
man i feel so dumb, but is this analog or digital?
Analog
Pity you can't buy it in Australia
Ah bummer!
Quality is really bad! Be careful people.
Not true at all, I use this one constantly. This one is great. Try changing mics, that can happen with cheap stuff.
@@ScottUhlMusic I have a 16 different microphones mate, most of them use 48v phantom power. Biggest mistake in my life. I think you can get from temu for £20 I paid on amazon £75 then I fond ebay selling for £54 too much noise and sound quality from £2000 microphone, sounds like £15 temu mic I'm using. It is really bad and really poor quality.
