Oh my! You have put some serious miles (or kilometers actually) on it! Great to hear it never needed a rebuild. Seems to me those engines are bulletproof. Z900 is a great bike too not sure if the seat is kind of wide which could be a problem if you are not that tall.
In Asia etc. more people ride motorcycles. In Europe a lot of people are too afraid to ride and are fine by driving a car or just use trains and buses. Next to that I also use tags in Asian languages. :) Riding a motorcycle in Europe is a niche. Riding A1 or A2 bikes is a niche in a niche.
Europe wants to have less deaths so they designed these restricted bikes. It is not that bad though, they are still pretty fast except on the freeway you notice it is slower.
Well if you watched the first few seconds of the video you have read that this one is restricted and not full power. But even restricted it has WAY more torque than a Ninja 300. The 300 will feel like a moped when opening throttle just because the 650 has more torque.
@@MotoSnax Makes sense the full HP bike would be able to do about 203 km/h or 126 mph. It requires a percentage increase in HP equal to the square of the increase in speed. So to go from 171 to 203 is about a 1.19x factor in speed, requiring about a 1.416x HP factor in terms of HP. The bike is said to make about 68 crank HP (source: www.webbikeworld.com/2020-kawasaki-z650-abs-model-overview/). 68 vs. 48 in restricted mode is a 1.417x increase. So the math works out. 171 in 48 crank HP restricted mode, 203 in 68 HP unrestricted mode.
Why ur country got only 48hp for 650cc? My country in asian got (69.7hp and 65.7nm) ur bike And my bike got lot of different power of this bike.. my bike got top speed 201km/h and for the gps around 190++
We got both versions. In Europe there is also a law for younger riders to start with 48 hp (and even a license for 125cc if you are 18 years old). So we have the restricted Z650 and full power Z650.
You can also fit foot peg lowering blocks like I did from Motowerks. These lower the pegs but about 1" and really help. Still heaps of ground clearance.
Perhaps I weigh more, perhaps you had stronger wind in the back. Perhaps your tank was almost empty.. who knows? There is nothing wrong with this bike.
Waarschijnlijk ECU en iets met de inlaat. Binnendoor merk je er niet zoveel van (of je moet echt het gas goed opendraaien), pas als je de snelweg op gaat merk je dat ie geknepen is. Fijne mtoor voor A2!
Correct, 48 hp for A2 license. A1 license = 11kW (15 hp) and max 125cc. The normal A license is full power. I have A, can ride anything but riding these restricted models give me the opportunity to sometimes have the first video on RUclips with a restricted top speed or 0-100. Pretty cool to sometimes have the first video in the world with a certain restricted motorcycle.

You don't feel the restriction until 140-ish kms/h
That is right. At first you are wondering if it is restricted at all. :)
@@MotoSnaxbro that's exactly the first thing i thought
Wow...my Yamaha R3 topped out at 205 km/ph. Admittedly, I weigh all of 44 kgs. Probably didn't notice I was on it!!
This one is limited in power and torque. Your weight helps a lot as 205 kmh on a R3 is really fast!

Less weight, smooth gearbox, lighter clutch. Those are the biggest changes if you own an ER6.
Thank God I bought a US spec 2015 FZ-07 and full Akro on it. This is embarrassing for Kawi.
You do know this is a stricted bike for the European A2 license?
Lol yeah the US model has 68 hp

Thanks for adding the torque number

Echt wel! Superding voor A2. En daarna ook prima.

if its not restricted these bikes would overheat and kill the user a few seconds after you hit its top speed

No, this is a restricted Z650. Check the tachometer. The Z400 has a different red zone.
How tall are you and how did you get on with the bike due to its low seat height. I’m 5ft 10 would this be too cramped ?
5'11 here. Did not feel cramped. You can buy a higher seat if needed.
Used z650 as learner bike. Am 6'3". Its doable. You just catch a load of wind over 65mph
You can also fit foot peg lowering blocks like I did from Motowerks. These lower the pegs but about 1" and really help. Still heaps of ground clearance.

This one is restricted, so the Z650 is faster once restriction is removed.
@@MotoSnaxHow to distinguish the A2 version? Or are they all so limited since 2020?

Not with me on it.

how about the mileage/ consumption?
I did 22.2 km on 1 liter. But it all depends on riding style, weight, weather.
my 2019 35kw mt07 did 202kmh top speed and now 55kw did 2026kmh
I wonder if it was restricted properly. Or Yamaha changed a lot. Last time I rode the MT07 was in 2015. It was not that fast as 35kW. :)
Maybe on the dash speedo but not GPS measured.
For an A2 license, what is better? Z400 or Z650?

well..its a shame that a twin 650 has the same speed and 4hp more than a single cylinder ktm 390
Ever heard of 'torque'? The 390 Duke almost feels like a moped compared to a restriced Z650.
Kawasaki 64nm torque, KTM 38nm torque. Not even close.
Mine is A2 compliant and i go to +190 what the heck
What year? It also depends on many factors.
I s the windscreen oem?
No, comes with Performance Kit.
What is torque and how is it useful?
Simply said how fast it pulls. A 125cc bike has about 11 Nm torque.
Is this MPH or KPH?
KPH.
This absolutely limiter version. Real one 70bhp right.
I think it is more like 63-68 hp nowadays.
Which exhust?
Akrapovic. See other 2020 Z650 videos on my channel.
La mt03 va más lo mismo que la z400 llega a 178km/h
This one is restricted to 48 hp. But compared to the Z400 and MT-03 (321cc) the restricted Z650 pulls a lot faster because it has more torque.
No way my standard Z650 easily does 195kmh
