Bengals have tie breakers over basically every AFC team right now that is playoff bound. Except ravens and bills. Both of which they play the last 2 weeks and can get the tie breakers. Bengals have a really good chance to get the 1 seed. I think bills are better than chiefs though thats gonna be a tough game

I think a lot of people here in the comments section is forgetting the difference between the regular season and the playoffs. Right now (regular season wise), yeah, Buffalo and Cincinnati at this moment look hotter and more impressive, but to say KC is going to lose come the playoffs is laughable at the moment. 4 years in a row KC has gone to the AFC Championship game, and they hosted it. Until KC fails in the playoffs to get to the AFC Championship game, can't say I will bet on another AFC team to do better in the playoffs. Maybe this will be the year things change, but I need to see it to believe it.
More likely that they lose than win. Even the patriots struggled to win afc championships year after year. Mahomes will probably get a few more rings but esp with their defense they ain't gonna win it every year.

But the team has changed so much and recent data suggests otherwise. They're 1-5 against Buffalo and Cincy the last 2 years and Pat Mahomes hasn't outplayed the opposing QB in any of the games but has been outplayed 5 times. And when you're talking about a team that has a horrible secondary and a team that does not have a run game that will cover if the passing game isn't elite, you just can't pick them. I would pick the Chiefs to beat any other team over the Bengals and Bills but when you look at them going head to head, you just can't pick them as the favorite, especially when you have Cincy that hasn't lost a game against them including the biggest stage they could have matched up on which is the AFC Championship game in Arrowhead.

The only way the Chiefs have a chance to make it back to the SB is if they are completely healthy on both sides of the ball. They could have used Hardman and Toney along with Thuney against the Bengals.

Bengals are the only team with a great runningback and a great qb. They could definitely go all the way.
Their skill positions are so stacked. They have a top 5 receiver, arguably the best 2nd option receiver who can be a number 1 on most teams, the 2nd best slot-receiver, a top 5-6 runningback that is also deadly in the passing game too, a reliable tight end and Samaje Perine is also playing bully ball and contributing. They are ridiculously stacked.

The Bengals have outplayed the Chiefs on both ends thus far and the Bengals offense has looked unstoppable lately. And that's with a lot of their skill players coming in and out of the lineup. I'm not saying the Chiefs have no chance at all but I do believeth Bengals should be the favorites going into the game wherever the game is. And the games have been close but the Chiefs still haven't won one yet even though each game was won by 3 points, 2 of them with game ending field-goals.

The Chiefs are 1-5 against the Bengals and the Bills in the last 2 years, 0-2 this year against both. Pat Mahomes has not outplayed the opposing QB in any of these games while he has gotten majorly outplayed in 4 of the 6 games.

KC is amazing offensively but that defense is horrific. When Russell Wilson is having his way with your defense this year, you know you're in trouble. That secondary gets eaten alive. As much as you can trust their offense, you just cannot trust their defense. And that game against Cincy showed it. The Bengals could have blew the Chiefs out that game if they didn't make some dumb mistakes. The Chiefs couldn't stop anything coming from them. And the same happened against Buffalo. Both Josh Allen and Joe Burrow had their ways against the Chiefs defense the last 2 years now. Both have played the Chiefs 3 times and both QBs have had great games in all games. The one loss the Bills had camedown to their defense not being able to do anything and a coin toss.
I don't think people realize how the Chiefs have struggled against these 2 teams. 1-5 the last 2 years. That is horrific and you could argue that Mahomes wasn't the best player in any of the games. I mean he was great in that win but Josh Allen was just as good, if not better. And the whole thing about KC is that you trust their QB being the best player in the world but somehow he isn't in these games and it is a reoccurring theme.
You factor that in with the fact that the Bengals defense is perfectly built against the Chiefs and the Bills are both top 5 in rushing and passing defense. I just can't see KC ranking number 1 right now. You would trust them more against anyone but in head to head matchups, you can't put them number 1, especially when Cincy has beaten them every single time.
Yea chiefs margin of error is slim without a competent Defense. From a chiefs fan, that def makes me nervous considering Pat has to be Superman every game. They do put a lot on Mahomes
I agree with everything else, but the coin toss. Bengals lost the coin toss in AFCCG and took care of business. Losing the coin toss makes it a million times harder to win against a power house that is the KC offense, but it's not an excuse, if you are good both sides of the ball.
As a chargers fan, it would be dope af if we got that last spot and got to play KC in the first round. Having Herbert and mahomes in a playoff game finally would be amazing. Every game we’ve played against them with Herbert has been a 1 score game. Each game with us having a lead in the last 5 mins

I think the Bengals, Bills and Titans can beat the Chiefs.... it's just you have to catch them at the right time; maybe a day where Mahomes gives you a B game instead of an A game. Last year the Bills gave them everything they could handle but Mahomes had an A game.... the next week against the Bengals it was a C game. I also wouldn't put much stock into the Bills/Bengals being 5-1 (loss was in OT) against the Chiefs either.

They have played a lot without their all-pro secondary players and now Von is out but they're still a top 5 rushing and passing defense and they're the only team to rank in the top 8 in both rushing yards and passing yards per game and they're 2nd in points allowed and 4th in points scored per game. People forget how banged up this team has been but they also don't realize the level they're still playing at.

@@rmersmannsr I wouldn't sleep on the Raiders and Broncos too much. I think Chiefs will play much more relaxed in their last 2 games and these are 2 teams that play decent against the Chiefs. I think it wouldn't bee too much of a surprise if one of those teams pulls up the upset before the playoffs where the Chiefs would try to avoid any possible injuries to their key players.
