KJ, good to see you kind of liked our vegemite. If you see a vegemite scroll at a bakery, try that. It’s yummy as vegemite goes so well with the scroll and cheese.
KJ, you absolute bloody legend. You may be the only foreigner that instantly compared vegemite to soy sauce which it what I would usually compare it to when speaking to someone who has never tried it. I must admit, you both used “expert level” amounts of vegemite, the same amount that I tend to use, but the fact hat you still semi-enjoyed it is legend status in my eyes! I’m loving your Aussie journey and I feel proud that you are having fun while here in my home country ☀️🙏🏼😁
Welcome to Melbourne summer! When it does turn it on the 5 days a year it’s pretty amazing. Hope you made it to south Melbourne market while you were here.
We are experienced a trash smell at an apartment tower on our travels once and discovered there was a trash chute less than 6 feet from our front door and that was where the smell was coming from. You got good advice with the Vegemite 😂 my husband (a Brit) wouldn’t countenance it for 20 years then he had some on toast when on a fishing trip and now he has it more often than any member of the family.
I have to admit as an Australian I was really scared they were going to use an insane amount of Vegemite. Great video! Hope you are having a fun time in Melbourne so far!
@@KJandSarah A vegimite sandwich. Just vegimite on dry bread. (with butter of course) I have no butter on my sangas but not recommended unless you actually like vegimite.
For an awesome Aussie breakfast: toast, butter, a thin smear of Vegemite (THIN), and an egg sunny side up on top. The Vegemite will season the whole thing. For an upgrade, add smashed avocado beneath the egg. Adjust the amount of Vegemite accordingly. Vegemite is full of savoury umami and saltiness. It is a seasoning. When you understand that Vegemite is a seasoning , then you understand Vegemite. 😊
That was way too much Vegemite though lol Honestly that jar of Vegemite would last for over 2 years if you spread it correctly lol Happy you both tried it though it’s more then some people do
Nonsense.. Don't listen to the nay Sayers. Putting a little bit dont help u gotta jump in the deep end and smother the bread with it and no butter! haha. But really vegemite is mind over matter . Your mind sees it as a chocolatey sweet condiment and then when u taste it its anything but . Think of it more as savory along the lines of pate and then when u get it you're hooked i promise . Its also a by product of beer production so its a winner in my book! LOL
Thanks guys you have the best vblogs about Aus I have seen. You have shown places most people don't show of the best Australia
Wow thank you! We appreciate it 🤗

Good to know! Thank you!
You need more butter and less vegemite...very good for you with lots of b vitamins..b1 b6 in the low salt one as well...

Haha glad to hear it! We really enjoyed our time in Australia and can't wait to get back there!

We definitely enjoyed the sun while we had it!

Haha we were warned enough so we didn’t want to risk using too much 😂 thank you! Melbourne has been amazing!
Tip. The toast still has to be warm when you spread the butter to mix it in with the vegimite. A vegimite sanga will be the real test.
What’s a Vegemite Sanga?!

Sounds delicious!
And those beach boxes cost a small fortune to buy if you can find one to do that, as they are highly prized.
We can imagine!

Yikes, you both put too much Vegemite on 😅 It really needs to be THINLY spread - but I'm glad at least one of you liked it.
guys you really need to get on with the "breaky" not breakfast we call it "breaky" in Australia ahaha and Sarah you give me Sandra Bullock vibes lol
Haha "breaky" it is! Sarah has gotten that a few times, but not any time recently, so it's funny you say that!
Half dozen weeties and vegimite toast for breky.
