Exposed is a brilliant album, Steve Stevens is one of the diverse and talented guitarists in the last 30 years. He's a great songwriter too... It is fantastic to see this footage of Stevens live... such a shame Vince Neil can't match the rest of the band for pure talent, he's singing flat all the way through the high bits... it's painful....
Kristian Kumanov Vik was Enuff Z’Nuff’s original drummer. Yeah, he’s fantastic. If you’ve never heard EZ, look up an album called Animals With Human Intelligence. One of the best rock albums of the 20th Century. Their first album is outstanding, as well, but the second rocks more. Donnie Vie is an absolutely amazing vocalist. Love the way he and bassist Chip Z’Nuff harmonize. And they had a virtuoso guitarist named Derek Frigo. Classically trained, and he could just rip. If the Beatles and Van Halen had a love child, it would sound like Enuff Z’Nuff.
I think the 1993 VNB was a very tight and talented unit. I honestly believe it showed Vince in a much better light Musically than being with Motley Crue had done before. I couldn't believe Exposed when I first heard it. Sister of Pain aside, all the other tracks are brilliant and some are quite Technically challenging.
To all radio stations around the world, this is real music, not the shite ye keep repeating day after day, just look at that guitar solo, that says it all- REAL MUSIC
Now THAT is a live band!!! I saw this tour in Dallas. I’d have been completely fine with Vince just taking the set off. Like this recording, he was really flat when he was actually singing. Steve Stevens and Vik Foxx put on an absolute show, though. I’ve long been a fan of Enuff Z’Nuff, but never saw them with Vik behind the kit. You don’t really get a feel for how powerful a drummer that guy is until you see him live. He’s an incredible showman, but he hits those things hard. And what can I say about Mr. Atomic Playboy. Steve Stevens is a god. Seeing him and Ed in the same show was unreal. I’d only been playing for about four years at that point. I never practiced so hard in my life as I did after seeing those two virtuosos. And Steve’s tone was fucking hot! That Ernie Ball sounded beautiful. I need to see what his live rig was. Vince’s original lineup included Adrian Vandenberg. I would have given my left nut to see him and Steve Stevens on stage together.
@@ericlange1190 not really. Vince has never been a great live vocalist. More of a front man like Roth, though DLR blew Vince out of the water. He was horribly out of tune singing in this tour. Steve and Vik saved the day.
I agree. Exposed is such a great album. I always thought Steve Stevens was a badass guitarist, but after I bought this album, I was a full fledged fan of his. Steve is one of my biggest influences on the guitar. He's also an amazing flamenco player too. Vince's vocals on Exposed are at his best, but as you can hear in this video, not so good live. But compared to the way he sings today, well, you know.
@@SteelStringJedi Ha! Yea - I was gonna say , apart from the incalculable contribution Steve did for this album , Vince Neil was still at his peak , he’s just never been able leave the alcohol alone , thus the poor health etc.. Never was much of a Crue fan , but I can dig this album - mostly cause of Steve Stevens, tho
Everyone is banging on Vince singing non-understandable and partial lyrics on the latest tour, lol, he's been doing it since 93............................... Steve Stevens carried this tour.
@TheTrueFortress YEAH WELL, AS A MUSICIAN MYSELF, STEVE HAS MORE TECHNICAL TALENTS, FOR SURE, BUT NEVER HAS BEEN AND NEVER WILL BE AS RECOGNIZED, FAMOUS OR AWARDED AS VINCE. AT THE TIME HE JOINED VNB, VINCE WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTS AROUND WITH THE CRÜE, SO STEVE LANDED A VERY BIG CONTRACT WITH WARNER BROS, A CONTRACT HE NEVER HAD WITH BILLY IDOL. NEVERMINDING THAT, THEY (VINCE AND STEVE) MADE GREAT GREAT MUSIC TOGETHER!!!! ROCK ON, BROTHER!!!
Vince couldn't make it through the whole song without running off stage for a drink. This was the beginning of the end for Vince really. It was a decent album, and he still put on a semi-decent performance at least half of the time. But you can see he isn't that into it any more, he is starting to gain weight at an alarming rate, and perhaps worst of all he had just lost interest in how he looked on stage. I mean is that a baseball jersey and headband? Really? And that's better than what he would usually wear, which would mainly just be jeans and t-shirt. Such a shame, him and the band when they took him back, fallen so far from greatness. Crue should have either stuck with Corabi despite label pressure, or just called it a day after that Corabi album. Because they have just been a joke since then, and in the last 15 years they have been truly awful. Mick so stiff and ill he can barely play, needing more backing tracks than Justin Beiber, Nikki STILL not able to play a string on the upstroke, and misses as many notes as he plays when forced to fret the strings (which isn't often, he tries to play open E and A strings as much as he can, even after 40 years of "playing"), Vince just wobbling and warbling around the stage using more auto-tune than Cher in her awful single believe, and Tommy, who fair enough can still play ok, but is more interested in being a celebrity these days than being a musician (although after years in bands myself, we know that drummers aren't really musicians ;) what has 3 legs and a prick? A drum stool). They rely on backing tracks and auto-tune 100%, and sound truly truly disgusting without them. What a righteous shame.
I love Vikki Foxx on drums and Steve Stevens on guitar.... best rockers ever
That guitar solo was phenomenal!!!!
Steve Stevens Guitar Solo on this song MELTS MY FACE EVERY TIME!!!

Absolutely.... he's up there with the best ever.
Steve Stevens is so under rated as a guitarist. Love to see him play the Ernie Ball / Van Halen signature guitar .
So true.
So true
Love this song!
Jeff Higgins They opened up for VH in 93 and probably here
He's just a slight hair more technically proficient on guitar, than Mick Mars. Just a tad.....
The best hard rock band E-V-E-R!!!
STEVE STEVENS FUC*inG RULES!!!!!

His band blew him off the fucking stage. Their energy was fantastic. Steve and Vik put Vince to shame.
God, I love Vince's first solo album, man.
Vince Neil's best solo song hands down.
It's probably Steve Stevens' best solo song too!
Who came for Steve Stevens?
Steve Stevens & Vik Foxx.. o;)
OF COURSE@Kristian Kumanov....this guitar on this song is KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@22guitarz I agree. I didn't know who's Vik Foxx, it seems this drummer is real beast!

Incredible musicianship.... OMG
Vince is on point in this performance
One of the last great albums from that era!!! SS kicks some serious ass!!!
oh God....Steve Stevens is out of this world....
Great vocals compared to 2019
Steve stevens is just so badd ass
Vince is buzzing after the solo.
Steve stevens. You are an alien Man!!!!!
Trying to figure out which is more underrated: Steve Stevens or this entire album? Neither gets their due.
Even back then, Vince didn't sing all the words, so he could breathe.
That's been his whole career, he's a great studio singer but has always been bad live
anyone know how steven makes those spaceship sounds?
With a toy ray gun over the pickups.
I love Vince singing with Motley CRUE better but I could just stare at him anywhere. I love some Vince Neil. Yum yum yummy 😋 😜
You should hear what Vince said about you. 😂 Vavoom
WASHBURN GUITARS built Steve his OWN model of guitars when I worked at their Custom shop and I still haven't seen him play one!
Stevens somehow manages to overplay without it seeming like overplaying.
Why is he singing like a squirrel in a fan belt
That's Vince and it's awesome!!!
😂😂

I love that Steve’s using a Music Man EVH! He sounds so good.
And running thru Peavey 5150 heads..
Steve Stevens!!!!!!! I only wish I could have caught this show!!! Amazing!!!!
If this album would have come out in 1989 , it would have been multi platinum
The whole Nirvana effect ruined the market for this kind of music

The Michael Monroe album was also good too.

El que dice que es malo eso a de ser que la gusta el reguetton
Bro Steven DOES NOT GET ENOUGH RECOGNITION. I would say in my own personal opinion he is better than Eddie Van halen

maybe after hearing, how bad sounds vince live :D
I don't think he wanted to keep playing Motley tunes which he couldn't get out of doing forever.

Wtf Tommy started playing piano so that makes him a dam good musician which means he can read and play sheet music ! Real musician !
Totally agree on the Corabi &MC and Sixx comments and everything else mate, well and funny said 🤣🙌👍
