I love how Buck was completey crushed by Eddie being shot in front of him but despite that he managed to stay focused and help him fast. Oliver´s acting was amazing.
The way Buck grimaces in 0:10 before going under the truck to get Eddie is great acting. Whether it's because he has to snap out of the shock in order to act, or because the memory of his leg being crushed by a fire truck makes him apprehensive to get under one (or both), it's clear he has to steel himself before doing it. Whether that came from Oliver himself or the director, well done.

This is the problem with not making Buddie canon, at least unless the show decides to have both Buck and Eddie swear off romance permanently. How do you write anything that has even close to the intensity of Buddie? For most people who are in a romantic relationship/marriage, at least if it's a healthy & functional one, their partner/spouse is the closest person in the world to them. I don't see how, at this point, what exists between Buck and Eddie can be matched by a relationship either one of them has with a different character. You know, I highly doubt a show would have a man and a woman be THIS close and then pair them off with others. But because they're both men in this case, 911 uses the "heterosexual by default, hence the relationship can't happen" excuse. Well... it's not a very good excuse, because you can easily make both of them NOT heterosexual, without even having to invalidate their previous relationships (hello, bisexuality). I would say the pros, in terms of chemistry and the storyline, FAR outweigh the cons in terms of how supposedly unbelievable it is for Eddie & Buck to both be into men.

That moment when you realize that Metha may have saved Buck when he tackled him to the ground after the first shot, which in turn made it possible for Buck to get under the truck and save Eddie. So really, it's possible that Metha saved both Buck AND Eddie. King.

Wtf Eddie you're the one who got shot and you still have time to worry about Buck? This was seriously going through my mind the whole time and I really hope someone gives and award to Oliver cause his acting here was phenomenal.
What really just gets me about Buck, and I truly hope it gets addressed in his healing in therapy, is that we see this scene and see that he saved Eddie. Buck remembers it as failing to keep him from getting shot. Which is entirely unrealistic and self destructive. Like, at some point someone needs to sit that boy down and tell him what he looks like to everyone else- a big god damn hero.
I agree. Buck helps everyone and he might be a bit reckless yes but you have to crazy things sometimes to get the job done. Buck and Eddie are my favorite characters specifically Buck because he loves everyone and saves lives and literally walks through fire evry single day to save lives and that is what a true hero is

Like I think it’s possible that Eddie was both genuinely worried about Buck and needed him to be okay in order to look after Chris in case he wasn’t gonna make it.

I think it's difficult to argue that they *don't* love each other at this point. The level of concern for each other and fear of losing each other reflects a deeper, more powerful bond than just friends or even just best friends. Doesn't necessarily mean it's romantic love. You can love a family member or close friend just as powerfully as a romantic partner. But yes, I think Buck and Eddie love each other, even if it's not in the way that we shippers prefer.

The realest part is Eddie asking Buck if he's hurt. Because all he sees is Buck covered in blood and checks to see if he's okay. Because people in shock have a tendancy to focus on anything that isn't their own pain. That's some awesome attention to detail.
So sad. I never realized the Dr said his pulse was weak when he got to the hospital. If Buck hadn't been there to grab him so quickly he would've bled out. Eddie tried to stay conscious as long as he could but the blood loss was just too much. When he put his hand up twice and on the 3rd time that's where it went limp and he lost consciousness. Buck knew his life was slipping away that's why he was saying "I need you to hang on Eds". We're so close just 3 minutes away. 😭 So glad Eddie survived.

can we all just acknowledge how buck actually BRACES himself before rolling under the truck to save eddie? like being under a firetruck again is something he never wants to experience again, and yet he willingly does it to save his best friend, (and possibly future boyfriend. #BUDDIEFOREVER) and the way eddie immediately just asks buck if hes ok and hes hurt, and so he tells him "yeah man im fine" but at the end someone says "you ok buckley?" and he just says "no." as hes watching eddie get wheeled in

So sad. I never realized the Dr said his pulse was weak when he got to the hospital. If Buck hadn't been there to grab him so quickly he would've bled out. Eddie tried to stay conscious as long as he could but the blood loss was just too much. When he put his hand up twice and on the 3rd time that's where it went limp and he lost consciousness. Buck knew his life was slipping away that's why he was saying "I need you to hang on Eds". We're so close just 3 minutes away. 😭 So glad Eddie survived.

god this scene was beautifully painful to watch. Buck broke my heart....and these writers continue to write these two like they're inlove but when we say omg wow they're inlove they tell us we are delusional...make it make sense :(
