Paris Amour and Wild Madagascar Vanilla are the only things on my list this SAS. My space is totally stuffed with products after actively collecting for 2+ years. I tend to buy things and end up decluttering/giving them away. Sigh
Me too! So now when I shop, every so often I grab those free cellophane gift bags and ribbons. I have a B&BW “gift wrap” area in my closet. 😆

- Anything $15.95 and up is best at $3.95 instead of 75% off (75% off $15.95 is $3.99)
- Anything $15.50 and below is best at 75% off instead of $3.95 or $4.95 (75% off $15.50 is $3.88)
- Anything $19.95 and up is best at $4.95 or $3.95
(75% off $19.95 is $4.99)

Also it's interesting to note, back when I was working at BBW, the original prices were in such a way that 75% off was the best deal over any other price point but now that things are inflating and original prices are increasing...well, it's making it more complicated to figure out what the best deal is!

Great video Melissa! I'm so excited for SAS! I don't need anything😜 So I'll try to limit myself 😀 I think the block party packaging matches the new style of Firecracker Pop. I'm most interested in Madagascar vanilla and Whipped coconut milkshake. I do want a lotion and maybe body was in Luminous. Body wash and mist is what I get the most during SAS. Body wash so rarely goes on a good low sale!

I don't have any shower gels of Watermelon Lemonade so it's on my list. I would also like some Strawberry Soda in shower gel and lotion (or cream) and a couple backups of Peach Bellini.

I wonder why employees aren’t aware of policies.
Many don’t know how to process online order receipts.
Now that they have gone green and don’t send packing slips it has really become a problem.
If you show them your phone with the code to process the return they don’t know what to do.
They always process it as a no receipt return instead which is okay unless you reach the no receipt return limit and they refuse to take something back .Then that’s when we will have a big problem !
They aren't aware because management never bothers to fully train them. 🙄
It could be multiple different reasons. For one thing, I think the increase of BBW influencers has caused some misinformation at times regarding BBW tips and tricks. Sometimes influencers may give a tip or advice that isn't actually within BBW policy, and so BBW has to deal with it. (ex: when TikTokers started telling people to bring their empty candles to exchange for a new one) So policies are constantly changing and updating and sometimes employees may not get the memo, or be stuck in the old policy because it's what they remember. Also locations vary on what goes on in them. Like I mentioned, in my store, customers never took advantage of the 14-day price adjustment policy, so it just was never brought up when I was being trained on cash register. Lastly, there are seasonal hires and new employees all the time in my store, especially during SAS and holiday, so there's going to be a higher chance they don't know how to do stuff outside of the basic ringing up customers procedures.
Of course, that's just from my perspective...there's always gonna be those stores/employees/management who just do a bad job and don't care, too. 😅
They don’t know how to process returns at all. I literally had to make an associate ring up a duplicate set of times of what I was buying for her to see she had not applied the credit for my return.
I'm very patient with my B&BW workers. A lot of them are older women. I learned early on that customers know a lot more than the workers. I've also “taught” some of the workers some excellent tips and hacks, from combining B&BW with their perfumes or making your conditioning spray by adding 1/4 BBW conditioner into a clean spray bottle and filling the rest with “clean” water to it (I use filtered water.) One of the workers said she had sold to a of conditioners bc she passed on that “hack” to her customers.
I wk at bbw at our store we have tons of teenage workers and 3 old ladies the rest of us in our 30s 😂 so weird how ever store is different
@@jamileebellottie1048 😆 I agree that each store varies, but my two favorite locations are situated in well-known malls and staffed mainly by older women. But now that I think of it, I mostly shop when the kids are in school. So now I think maybe the younger worker could work in the evening. Every time I bring my kids in, their grandmotherly love always shows. If I ever have questions, I ask them, but if they don't have the answer (most times, they don't), I pretend to have changed my mind. Later, if I find the answer, I like to find my way back to them and tell them what I learned. I go there so much so, they always greet me by name 😆. I love everything about B&BW - employees and products. Lol

Wow! The changed the scent notes to paris amour! The one i have has less notes. Remember when bbw use to have the OG scents online?! Thats when i had scooped it up! Mine is real heavy on the 🌷 i absolutely love it and soo happy its coming back! Im most excited for wild Madagascar Vanilla 🔥🔥🔥 I remember smelling it years ago but at that time i wasnt into vanilla type of scents, but i am now! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Vanilla scents! I want the whole collection 🔥🔥🔥
It should be the same scent, back in the day they used to describe all notes; too, mid, and base notes, in the scent, while in the last 8 or so years they only include 2-4 of the main/key notes on the bottles. I miss when they used to I clude them all so you could get a better idea of what the scent was made up of! I'm excited about Wild Madagascar Vanilla too! I can't remember what it smells like off the top of my head, so I definitely need to revisit it! 😍 SAS is almost here! 🤗🥳💛

So happy u mentioned price adjustments. I do this alot during SAS. And i keep it organized by keeping everything in the bags of what store i got it from. A store manager didn't know bbw does price adjustments which is odd to me.

Even if your receipt expires after 2 weeks, still keep it. You can "return" the product and buy back.
I have done that and they don’t like it at some stores, but technically it’s not wrong. Some stores are awesome and are like yeah! You can do that!

For this past christmas my daughter gave me Frosted coconut snowball FFM and winter candy apple in the shower gel. So I will be looking for coordinating products. I also hope to find a halloween scent set. I have never had any halloween. If I don't find the coordinating products I will pick another set. I only started getting BBW a yr ago. I like to keep my stash at no more than 12 fragrances. 1 per month. This month I am using a scent not BBW that has zero staying power. So I put Beautiful by Estee Lauder over it. Almost gone so I could get a summer scent. I would try something different each time.
Good idea, this is a great time to find matching pairs with the scents you already have! 😁 That's a good idea to have a scent per month! I used to have a scent per season when I first started getting into it, so 4 sets total, but as you can tell my collection has gotten a lot bigger since then so now I rotate scents a lot. I hope you find some good new scents to try for when you run out of your Estee Lauder/current BBW scent for this month! 💖

Hi Melissa! Arthur is so CUTE!!!! I have my list all set to go and will be bringing it with me when shopping in store. I will be at my local store bright and early on June 1st prior to the doors opening. Do you have any traditions or rituals when shopping on the first day? I like to pick up a Unsweetened Black Iced Tea with Lemon at Starbucks either before I go in and shop or after shopping the first day to make it fun. It's my way in celebrating the first day of summer SAS. I have a $10 off $40 paper coupon I received with an online order I had done here in Canada. My local store is amazing accepting coupons with sales. I know some stores are not. I don't think there are price adjustments here in Canada. I have not looked into it. I do know there is 90 day or less return policy here. We do not have a rewards program and we do not not have BOPIS. Things are simpler here so far. Since I reside in Canada I know the price points here are generally a $1 higher. If price point is at $3.95 in the U.S. most likely price point will be at $4.95. I'm looking forward to Wild Madagascar Vanilla. It's been years since I've had this fragrance in my collection. I'm looking forward to Cherry Blossom as well. I normally just stick with the mists, EDP perfumes and body washes. I rarely pick up candles, creams/lotions/body butters and soaps. I think if you shop all year round at BBW there are not many surprises.
Crafting -after-midnight I have my list all ready as well. I don't have any traditions, I should come up with some 🤔 - My one tradition would be to shop first thing on the first day of SAS - I have a 10 off $40 as well, but it expires on May 31st and my store will never ever let you use them, no grace period whatever, which is okay with me, I'm not a Rabid BBW shopper 😅 - If I was and spent a lot of money on the company I'd be upset if they wouldn't honour it. I also shop for FFM more than any other products. I want to get some Calypso Clementine, Luminous, Whipped Coconut Milkshake , I also want to try some that I have not experienced yet - Paris Amor ( though I'm hearing it might be online only ) , Wild Madagascar Vanilla, Cherry Blossom, Freesia, Tahiti Island Dream - they are all new to me, not saying I will purchase any of the mentioned scents but want to see what they are like. Oh I also want to see what Firecracker Pop is like and may pick up a little Cloud Nine....
@@PodieM18 Some stores are stricter than others with coupons with sales. I've been pretty lucky with my local store. My $10 off $40 expires sometime in August. It's a coupon I received with a online order. I have picked up a lot of the fragrances prior to SAS, so I'm concentrating on the returning ones mainly. There is not a lot what I want. Will see.

I think I've hit up Starbucks before/after as well, but most of the Semi Annual Sales I've experienced I was working at so I think my tradition was to wear my best supportive shoes, take an extra coffee, and buckle up for a long day of chaotic work! 🤣 I actually thought it was pretty fun! I do love the Summer SAS for that reason...it kind of marks the beginning of Summertime for me too! 💛 Thanks for all of the great info on the differences with the Canadian stores. As nice as it is to have BOPIS and app rewards options, I do actually miss the simplicity of how it used to be and what it sounds like it still is in Canada. Bounce back paper coupons, no tracking/intensity around the rules of who is using the coupon and how you got it. It was more straightforward then, but I also understand that the app is an improvement for those who just could not get BBW to send them mailer coupons. So it makes sense!

I'm hoping my store has some leftover fall stuff - especially Leaves! I think that has become my desert island scent and I would love to have another lotion/shower gel in case it doesn't come back this fall.
Leaves is classic, and I loved when they had it available in body care last Fall! I mistakenly forgot to buy it in a shower gel, so I'm on the lookout for that one myself! 🍂🍁
I am most excited for Tahiti Island Dream. I want to be excited for Strawberry Soda/Coconut Milkshake/Fruity Sherbet Scoop, but I don't buy creams of summer scents because it's too humid & hot where I live to use them. I really dislike when they don't release summer scents in the lotion. (It's the same reason why I passed on Coconut Milkshake & Fruity Sherbet last yr.) I usually buy at 50% off during the second week and then keep an eye out to see if I can get the 75% price adjustment later. My store doesn't really seem to have much (it's a smaller store) and often things will be gone before they get down to 75%.

That's a great idea to wait until week 2 to buy 50% off, since it will be more likely to get marked down within the 14 day price adjustment period. That's great advice! I agree with the body lotions, too! I liked body creams better once upon a time, but I've learned that the formula of the lotions last and seem fresher for longer. And like you said, lotion formula seems more appropriate for hot weather than cream! ☀️

Ooo that's a great question, I'm thinking it may be unlikely since at my store last SAS, they had a very low stock of it on the 75% table. But it's not impossible for it to show up still! Sometimes customers will return unused products that are still sellable. Also stores sometimes get random shipments of clearance items that I assume are from back stock (?) and are trying to clear it out. Fingers crossed that you find some Coco Paradise! 🌴 🤞

Have you tried the new Rain perfume mist yet? 💦 I haven't tried it yet, but if it's anything like the original Hyaluronic Water collection, then I know I'll love it since that was my favorite fresh, aquatic scent!

Wow how are you doing I'm in ICU nurse. I need both hips done and my shoulder and I can't walk I'm in a wheelchair. Covid killed me in a different way. I wish you well and I know knees are a lot harder than hips these days❤😊

I love summer scents a lot, so I have many! Waikiki Beach Coconut was one of my first favorites, but more recently I've been really enjoying Strawberry Soda, Groovy Watermelon (Pink Watermelon Blast), Summer Melody, and Poolside Cabana. The list could go on though! 😅 What are some of your summer favorites? 😊
I like the dupes Pink obsessed and Lemon pound cake and Peral Parade is nice too.

But I was wondering, what's your advice on how we can get coupons in the mail on a consistent basis? Is that even possible or is it completely random? I use to get them in the mail quite often in the past. But now, it's like I haven't gotten one since last year some time. Hi! Do you think the newer scents Covered in Roses, Petal Parade, Pink Obsessed, etc, will be marked down?
They are most likely not going to be since their extended release including the lotions and shower gels is rumored to be in the fall.
I saw someone comment that Peach Bellini is being discontinued!! Anyone know if this is true? I stocked up and bought 5 hand soaps already cause it’s my fav! 🥺
Peach Bellini is one of those scents that comes and goes from BBW periodically, especially in candles, wallflowers, and hand soaps. So my guess is you will see it again one day despite it being clearanced. It's the body care items they are discontinuing, and it had been many years since we've had it in body care. So hopefully it comes back again soon, but if it's your favorite then I would consider getting a backup set! 🍑 🥂

That's perfect for the BBW fans! 😁 There was a time you'd open my closet and it literally was just gingham shirts in all different colors! When I worked at BBW, they used to only allow white collared shirts, which I did not like. So when they added the option of wearing a gingham top to the dress code I jumped all over it! 🤣
Can I ask where you are that there's not a lot of competition? I must have 15 stores within a 15-mile radius and that's probably low-balling it. But they all have different stuff some are small somewhere in the mall somewhere in the strip mall and let me tell you about South Florida lol they go with wagons and the people are vicious here😂😂
I'm on the border of Idaho and Washington State, on the Idaho side! Wooow that's a lot of stores! We just have our old school, 90s style BBW and then the next closest one is 45 minutes away! 😅 I would think SAS is even more of a crazy time for those who can make it to lots of stores. Ive been shopping at Bbw since the late 90's & I remember when they had 90% off tables at the very end of the sale..Granted , it was a very slim selection.. .. Yeah, the blurb I read was the break down of top, mid, and base notes. All of the fragrances at BBW have that many notes in them, but on the bottles nowadays they only include 2-4 of the main/key notes in them. I liked it when they used to list more because I could get a better sense of what I was smelling, but you're right. It does make it sound more overwhelming! 😅
How about the men’s body care? Will SAS have better prices than the 5.95 sale going on today?
Yes, I know there will be some Men's scents retiring that will be clearance. I don't know the price points, but I've seen it in pas semi annual sales be something like 50% off to start, then move down to 3.95-4.95 a piece. I hope this helps! 😁

The best and worst thing about SAS is I usually fall in love with an affordable specific scent…but it’s usually being discontinued so I never see it again 😭
I really like going on a week day if I can swing it, way more chill and I can really take my time. If things disappear, I’ll never know they were there 😂

Yes! Over the years I've noticed that they bounce around from $3/$3.95/50% off a bulb. Then towards the last week or so of the sale, any leftover clearance of wallflowers go 75% off usually! 2-packs also usually go somewhere between $7 a pack-50% off on their website too. I hope this helps! 💛

Hi there! Yes, there will be clearance items both in stores and online. I've learned from the past that in-store tends to have better deals in terms of price-point. That being said though I have noticed that online tends to have better mark downs during the later part of the sale on 3 wick candles if that's what you're looking for the most! I hope this helps! 💛

My issue is, I love fruity scents but I wanted more lotions since they go further and last longer, I have enough creams for now. But all the fruity stuff coming back is a tiny bare minimum set, all with only body creams😑 Also I agree I don't like the packaging. It's too plain and meh.
I used to be a body cream girl, but I've completely changed my mind and like the lotions much better now! Agreed, lotion would have made more sense than body cream if they were only going to do one for summer scents...lotion is more lightweight and stores better. 😩🍉

The block party collection packaging is not for me. I'm thankful they bring back the old school scents for that reason! All if the memories and nostalgia behind them are so special, and to be able to get a scent your mom used to wear that was otherwise discontinued is so nice! 😌 I feel that way about Sweet Pea, Pear Berry, and Sun-Ripened Raspberry, as those are scents that my mom bought and would use on me and my sister's as part of our getting ready/unready routine when we were small. 🥹
I know, I think a lot of people feel the same way about the Block Party packaging...it just doesn't seem very Bath & Body Works- like. I think for me, they look a little too symmetrical and one dimensional. I do like the color combos they made for them at least, and I do enjoy all of those scents too so not a total bust for me. 😅 Agreed, I'll be doing the same: buying some for the sake of back ups of favorites. In someways maybe for my case it's good I'm not obsessed with the packaging because then I'll feel more okay with using it up instead of wanting to keep it forever to look at! 🤣
