Neat watch, don't hate anything about it really, but for a similar price I end up taking the Sinn U50 9 out of 10 times. This has more back story but it's hard to argue that one has significantly more "character" than the other.
I own both watches here (black variant of the SAR on a rubber strap & the U50 on a rubber strap). Both are among my favorites in my collection. Although on the surface they might be comparable, I’d say they’re more different than they are alike. No doubt they’re both extremely competent tool watches and built like tanks. The size difference however, really is telling. I would suggest the Muhle is more comparable to Sinn’s U1 (which I know from also owning the U1 SE variant). All said … Muhle & Sinn make remarkable tool watches!!!!
Alex, yes, dimensionally, the SAR is bigger than the U50 - the difference isn’t so much in the case diameter, but the height of the SAR is a bit taller. Visually on the wrist, the U50 is smaller. That said, because of the stocky & stubby lug-to-lug of the SAR, it does wear smaller. My wrist is not that large at 6.75-in, and the SAR looks great - the lugs do not extend past my wrist. And although it weighs more than the U50, after a short time on the wrist, the SAR disappears. I can’t say enough about both of these watches.
I am a love it guy. This is an unapologetically functional timepiece executed to a remarkable standard. That isn't as common as it once was and it is good to see.
Hi, I was already in love after you reviewed the traditional black dial. Great Review & great Watch. One of the best watches on your arm. Looks awesome, even on small wrists. I find the white one shown in the video even better and more beautiful than the original black one. Great idea of a great watch. Thank you Teddy 👌💪👍❗
Fantastic review Teddy! A very unique designed watched in this market of same same watches. Peter Kotsa RUclips review is a must watch review also. Love it.
Hmm.. I have recently been considering getting a Longines master collection blue moonphase L29094920, But this watch is speaking to me. I don't know why, but it's pretty neat. At roughly the same price as the Longines, I'm going to have to consider this.
Now THIS is a true diver's watch! Once, in Mexico while snorkeling, our boat captain was literally surrounded by barracudas and almost attacked by them, due in large part to the 'shiny' watch he had on (as per him). Once back onboard he became so mad at himself that he flung the watch into the water never to be seen again. So I guess having a dive watch that doesn't shimmer in the water is a definite quality of a great dive watch.
That is not a true dive watch. No unidirectional bezel and only rated for 100 meters. Of coarse, most swimmers would find it to be a nice time piece for snorkeling. I like it too and would wear it when hanging out around the water.
Making it out at a young age is quite difficult. I started a side hustle at 17, saved up and made some good investments. l'm 28,live on my own and having a good life for myself. Big ups to you and everyone out there trying

I like the older black dial version. Bracelet looks a little thick I prefer bracelets that taper , like the dial and rubber bezel though , overall a nice watch and as usual a great review .
As tough as this one might be, I lost one of them at a waterfall by accidentally knocking the watch against a rock. The pin failed and it sank and was never found unfortunately.
Hi teddy! Loving the videos, keep up the good work! And thank you for all the watch info we get on your Chanel. Question: what is the triangle with the 2 dots on the 12 hour of the dial mean? I seeing it in a lot Swiss and german watches. Any special significance? Shoutouts from California.
I’ve seen this watch before and absolutely LOVE it! I’m considering buying one and am pretty torn between the traditional black dial or this one, and bracelet or rubber strap. I’m leaning toward black dial, rubber strap. I’m also glad to hear you don’t think the rubber bezel will get dinged up too bad, and that it’s replaceable if it does.
Teddy did a video on the black dial variant which was instrumental in convincing me to purchase this piece. I did buy the black dial version on the rubber strap … and must say it is one of my most favorite watches in my collection. I’m a huge fan of German-made watches, having several Sinn (U1-SE & U50 included), Damasko, Laco & Stowa, among others. The SAR does wear smaller on the wrist as Teddy suggests, but it is a substantial presence even with the rubber strap. The clasp on the rubber strap is extremely well built and has a finish/color similar to the case (almost titanium-like). The rubber strap is one that you’ll need to cut for size … even with my smaller 6.75-in wrist, there was more I could have cut. It’s an amazing watch - I’ll be reducing my collection soon to make more room to wear this one more frequently.
@@fabiodefreitas6009 Thanks for the info man, I appreciate it. I have a Sinn as well (556i), which is pretty much my everyday watch right now. Was actually considering buying a U50, but then this video reminded me this watch was out there. Can’t go wrong either way I guess.

Hmm.. I have recently been considering getting a Longines master collection blue moonphase L29094920, But this watch is speaking to me. I don't know why, but it's pretty neat. At roughly the same price as the Longines, I'm going to have to consider this.
Very cool. I am tempted, but the round case might be a bit too round for me. I think if I can get it on wrist it will convince me easily
@William Albert 100 ATM is a 1000m ATM stands for atmosphere
I have a oris rega . I could see this as a nice addition to my collection .
Does this watch, have a silicon balance spring .? What if any, is the Anti- Magnetic capability?
Does it have any anti-magnetic protection? Haven't been able to find out anywhere.
I don’t hate it and lean towards liking it. Thanks for sharing.

Making it out at a young age is quite difficult. I started a side hustle at 17, saved up and made some good investments. l'm 28,live on my own and having a good life for myself. Big ups to you and everyone out there trying
@@cryptocasey1083 Sounds like plan, how do you put money to work?
@@jamessydney3022 Yes it sure is. I put in money in investments and get profits. That 's how I make more money without working. This does not sound new to you right ?
@@cryptocasey1083 Thanks for replying me, I've heard so many people talk about investment but none had said how to do it right.
There are lots of investments options such as real estate, stock market, forex, cr ypt os, passive income,
I like the older black dial version. Bracelet looks a little thick I prefer bracelets that taper , like the dial and rubber bezel though , overall a nice watch and as usual a great review .
I’ve been wanting this watch for awhile.
Love it. I really love watches that look like nothing else, and love tool watches. I'd have this over any Rolex or AP anytime.
Great watch and i am willing of buying one but the rubber bezel lets me stop . As i have seen few SAR with torn rubber bezel from daily use.. so can this rubber bezel be easily replaced?
@@amrashraf9559 As much as I would like to wear this watch on a daily basis, I have too many others that would be jealous of the wrist time. Because it’s not a daily wear, I have had no issues with the rubber bezel at all - it still looks brand new. I have heard and read other times that the bezel is replaceable. Have you tried contacting your authorized dealer or Muhle directly?
@@fabiodefreitas6009 unfortunately in my country there is no retailer for muhle
I will buy this watch while a trip in Munich..
And wish to be able to buy a spare rubber bezel while buying the watch
beautiful backlight
Really nice selvage denim jacket!
Loved video.definitely one I pick up sometime this winter
That black bezel has some North Flag vibes. Cool watch.
I was wondering if can you make a video where you do a deep dive into Bell&Ross and your opinions about the brand and favorite collections? I think that’d be an interesting topic
Yeees, dood! A thousand years of German humor in one watch 😲!
It's cool. Looks very smooth for 100 atm. Thx.
Fantastic piece. Love its design.
The gold version looks epic.
Having the lumen face really tops these watches off and I really like the execution of design from the white lumen face, skeleton hands, date in the 5 o clock position, flat cyclops ect ect its an amazing timepiece.. I just wish all the arrows faced in or faced out that makes my OCD twitch lol. At that price I probably won't be buying one but I like it.. just fix the arrows! 😂
So, so, so cool! Fantastic piece.
While this watch is different and attention catching, its not weird. I like it.
Nice concept. Although I feel they missed the opportunity to paint the markers with vanta black.
Love this watch! Love the full lumen face!
Reminds me of the Rolex Explorer. Great, and underrated Brand! 👏🏼
Wow! Love it! Unique design.
My sister is getting her scuba certification soon and I’d like to get her dive watch. Any guidance for watch gifting? Any brands I should know of?
I really want one of these.
I love this watch! I’m definitely checking it out!
Tougher than Sinn U50S? What do you think? I think it looks amazing. Thanks 👍
Damn it! Now I want one! It is a pretty cool designed watch.
Not on my worst day teddy!
Kinda like it, it's very different and a little odd but I think I like it.
I love everything about this watch except for its looks... i know thats crazy but technically, its amazing. It just doesnt look like a watch that costs that much and thats a 'no' for me (cause im vain). Love your channel as always
