I have the Bambino ver 3 Gray dial that love but only wear a few times a year but at the price, it's worth it. Did just get the Rose gold Sun and Moon for Xmas which I really love as well. And I'm wearing the Triton. Orient makes great watches for the gen pop.
Definitely nothing beats this if you are looking for a budget mechanical automatic. if you factor in the main points: 1. movement is in house and accurate for the price. the fact its in house might not mean much for some but this alone is an achievement. 2. build quality and features are excellent for the price ie. sapphire glass, finishing. bezel movement, applied markers, depth rating, hacking, hand-winding, day/date wheel ect 3. Orient is not a well known brand but it has heritage and history in watchmaking dating back over 50 years. 4. The design isn't a blatant copy or homage, its quite unique for such a low price which is extremely rare. Most watches in this range just copy a submariner/omega/blancpain ect 5. case size is spot on not too large not too small wears like a 40mm, lug to lug 47mm. Fits nearly all wrists. No micro brands or other watch brands can compete with all these factors combined based on price under $200. Yes you may find a watch in its price range that does something better but not something that does all of the above.
Nitt Mitt orient, like seiko has great lume. I had a ray raven 2 and was amazed at the lume. I was looking at another ray as a beater and found this one right before this video came out. Wanted a strap code but my oyster bracelet feels great so I’m just living it. Mine is +9 better than any seiko I’ve owned and it wears like a 40mm imo
The Kamasu came along at just the right time and its maroon dial is very nice. The sapphire crystal and the fact that the crown is screw-in keep it ahead of the new 5kx's of Seiko's.
Thank you so much for this video! Their Mako/Kamasu lineup is confusing but that little hour hand tip you gave us is a LIFESAVER! Now I don't accidentally buy a mako with mineral glass by accident!
I’ve had mine for almost a year (it was a pandemic lock-in purchase) and I absolutely love it. I have no complaints about the bracelet- doesn’t pinch my hairy wrist and the double lock setup is very secure. I find the power reserve is not quite the 40 hours he stated- probably 24 hours. But the lume is indeed exceptional. Overall the quality and aesthetics make this a great deal for the around $200 it costs. I don’t plan to wear it in the water- I use my $30 Timex for the beach and pool. This is, for me, a so-called “desk diver.”
I just ordered the emerald green variant. It'll be my first automatic, and I'm quite excited. I had been eyeing Seiko's SRPE and SRPD offerings, but something just didn't click with me. I feel that with the Kamasu, Orient have tastefully combined sporty and dressy aesthetics into a well rounded and cohesive whole - something that Seiko's Sports 5 line-up struggles to achieve.
Hey Jody, tell Orient you sold a watch. Got the Kamasu Green as my first 200€+ watch (Orient is a bit more pricey in Germany) and I couldn't be happier. I'm relatively new to watches and I've become fan of your channel. It's just fun to watch you being so enthusiastic about this hobby, thanks for that.
A quick tip to anyone who cannot deal with the stock bracelet on the Kamasu. Try an SKX jubilee. I just did a little bit of bending to the end links and it fit perfectly. A much cheaper way to make this watch even better! Plus you avoid the male endlinks on the Strapcode bracelets.
I have a black dial Ray and a blue dial Mako ll USA, which looks almost identical to this, has the same movement and a sapphire crystal. It adds solid end links. The sunburst on the blue dial is really nice. I picked up a coin edge bezel and lumed ceramic insert, and it transformed the watch. Really nice. I wish Orient would lose the indentations around the outer edge of the insert, otherwise I could've gotten just the ceramic insert, rather than having to replace the bezel itself as well.
Talk of "value for money" aside, that wrist shot from an angle shows why I can't get enough Orient divers (and am looking for my fourth this year). Such a practical fit for an understated everyday tool watch. Different Orient divers invoke DNA from some famous classic watches, but rarely crossing a line into outright homage territory. Cutouts on the case bottom make lots of straps fit well. We talk a lot about specs and materials in these watches, but for me the design and attention to detail in these affordable pieces is why I keep buying them.
Seiko basically gave the market to Orient. Great builds and very attractive models with Orient, so I think I'll be going that way instead of an old Seiko or newer more expensive model.
I suspect it may well be the overall direction of the whole of Seiko group. Let Orient take the entry level, Seiko in the middle, Grand Seiko in the luxury and Credor in the haute horology sector.
I have the ray 2 which I love. The kamasu is basically the same with sapphire instead. The bezel rotation does seem a lot more smoother as compared to the Ray 2 which is quite tight.
My new Kamasu gained 1 second over 3 days and for the next 4 days of tracking stayed at 1 second fast. It was the first time that I wished that it had a window back case so I could be sure it was an auto-mechanical movement and not a quartz. Mine is from Jomashop and with the rubber strap was only $175 US. I was surprised at the comfort of that strap but have since replaced it with an navy blue Barton canvas.
I have the 812L19B version, blue sunburst dial with pepsi bezel. It's an absolute beauty. I love wearing that watch. I really recommend the kamasu line to anyone wanting to get into watch collecting.
I have an IP black (+ gold bezel) version and it's a ripper. The watch head is very showy compared with an SKX. It comes on a rubber dive strap, I presume an IP bracelet would push the price too high. The coating conceals any wobbles in case finish, and the strap is very comfortable. I think it will look better on a low profile tropic strap, so it may get changed. i logged it for a week in November with WatchCheck: +3.5s/d. Phenomenal for the money.
Desk diver for sure! Rocking mine on leather strap for winter time and it's great! I'm having this watch for 5 months now and I love it! I think it is the best I could get in that price. Try this one on bond nato strap, works perfectly too!
Just bought the blue one and received it yesterday and it's even better in person.bi have heard so many stories about a extremely wobbly crown and some crowns even falling off. I must have gotten Lucky because there is literally no play with the crown pulled out. I did order from Amazon though because I was going to send it back if the crown wobbled. Very pleased with mine 👍
I love my Kamasu. I've had it around 5 months and wear it every day. I work in an office setting and it fits in nicely. I do agree on the bracelet. They definitely cheaped out. In my eyes though, it's a $200 everyday watch. My bracelet is all scratched up from every day use, but I do enjoy the watch so much that I will end up getting a milled clasp bracelet eventually.
I just got mine last weekend. I am in LOVE with this watch. It is just awesome and is another level watch in my budget collection. It is a solid watch for sure.
I guess you are keeping the Kamasu if you are getting a strapcode for it. That's the highest praise. It is on my list for the next time I can get away with... Just One More Watch
Stellar video, I own the RayII and the Bambino 1st Generation, you are so right about the improvement on the crystal and the need for a better bracelet! I like the Kano also, it's a little more like a copy of the Black Bay.
Cracking review mate. Like the look of these! Totally agree re: the crown though. Even visually it looks was too small compared to the guards. Akin to putting an SUV on 16’s, it just looks odd.
Jomashop will be happy to know you sold me a watch that I bought from them today! It was the Orient dive LE dive watch. I can't wait for it to get here. Oh and they were the lowest price I could find and I looked EVERYWHERE.
In the past few weeks, I ordered a Luminox Colormark chronograph, returned because it was extremely bulky and lume was weak. Ordered a Seiko SRPD95, nice, but weak lume and more fashion-oriented that I was looking for. Now received my Orient Kamasu in stainless and black, and it is hands-down the nicest, cleanest, highest quality watch I've seen for under $500. Cant say enough good things about it.
Jody, I know you are interested in budget divers so check out this Invicta that I recently purchased. A Pro diver 40mm, solid end links, scissor clasp, Sellita SW200, model 99370B for a little over $200 new from Invicta. Hard to believe. Just an FYI !
Jody, great review. I purchased the Orient Mako II USA from Long Island Watch (Mark) and it is great. §199 plus another $15 off for being a 1st time customer. The USA II also has solid end links. Any thoughts on the Mako II USA? Thanks Jody...
I started doing my homework on a new watch a week or so ago - ordered a Orient Kamasu in Blue from your sponsor this past Monday. Thanks for the video - looking forward to getting this. I hope I can stop at just one.
I've got an Orange Ray 2. The best mod for the Mako, Ray and Kamasu is that cheap arse bezel - coin edge and ceramic insert, and spend the change on a decent Nato or silicone strap.
Hi Jody, I bought the Kamasu Limited Edition about three months ago. It is so gorgeous and has hardly left my wrist since, especially considering I have over 20 very nice watches in my rotation. Love your work here on RUclips! Kind Regards, Dave
I just received mine, set it to NISC time it gained 75 secs in 48 hours. Mine is black and is really stunning. Silicone band is comfortable, thinking of changing to nato or tropic eventually. However, on the back, along with the other expected info right there it is stamped EPSON. That combined with accuracy, other issues I've had with previous Orient....

This is why I keep on buying Orients for so many decades. In South America they are assembled in Brasil in the Seiko/Orient factory for all the continent. They are all excellent. Cheers!!!
Worth mentioning for UK watchers. Although you can buy then here there is no service centre or it would seem any parts available. I bought one on ebay just needing a stem and crown but I cant find anything for it. A decent paperweight and a reminder to steer clear of the brand.
Bought one of these a few months ago (the green one). I wear it 4 or 5 times a week. It's been consistently within COSC standards: loses 1-2 seconds a day on wrist, then when I let it sit dial up overnight or for a day, it catches up and is 1-2 seconds fast. Fabulous. What more can you ask for? Bracelet is what you'd expect (crap), so I bought a Strapcode, which now makes custom bracelets for this model. And I find myself looking at the dial a lot more than I do when I wear by Seamaster. It's quite cool.
You say the second hand is red-tipped, but it looks orange in the video. Is that a color-balance issue? Also, do you know if the blue dial has the deep-gloss look of the blue Mako?
I picked this watch up for £180 in Novemeber last year and it hasn't left my wrist. Such a well rounded watch for the price. Fair to say it's more handsome in person.
I bought a blue Kamasu with a "rubber" strap, and I really like it except for the strap. It's comfy and easy to use, but it draws lint and cat hair like crazy. Currently it's on a slightly elastic NATO, which is great, but I've ordered a black vintage leather from Barton. Orient divers look great with vintage leather.
I can't say enough good things about the Kamasu. I already own 3 (red, green and blue) and am about to buy the black. I own much more expensive watches but these get the most wrist time. What you say about the bracelet's shortcomings is all true, but that being said, I haven't felt the need to upgrade them on mine. I would recommend the Orient Kamasu to anybody looking for a great watch, regardless of its affordable price
People who are considering this watch should look into the Mako USA II as well. Very similar all around with a slightly different dial, and solid end links on the bracelet.
I own a Mako USA II which is the same watch with a better bracelet (solid end links), and it does everything that both the SKX007/009 and SKX013 do and more with hacking and hand winding, and just fits like a glove. Jody is exactly right that the Orient is more dress than tool, but that makes it more versatile in my opinion. Best value in a mass production watch today.
I want to buy this watch on Jomashop, however the image looks odd. I want to purchase the green dial variant, and usually it's a teal color, but in the photos its a hard, kermit green. What's up with their photos?
Thank you for clearing up whether I had a Mako...that I thought I had...or a Kamasu...I have indeed got a Kamasu and I'm still very very pleased with it. Black and Gold finish originally with a black silicone strap now with an aftermarket IVP black metal deployment bracelet its a wonderful watch for the money, wearing it now, it's one of my favourites...although Seiko SRP481K (red version of the ice monster) is also a favourite when I circulate my watches around. Anyway JOMW, good review with some nice macro camera work and good listenable narration, keep em coming!⌚👍💯
If I am not very much mistaken it is not a Diver's 200 which the SKX007 is. However the Orient Triton is. For me, although I don't own one (but I do have an SKX007) that would be the best replacement to the SKX007.
I have become a fan of Orient in 2019 and will continue to be one! For the price they make some outstanding watches! My 1st Orient was the sun and moon open heart in rose gold that my wife got me for our anniversary and I fell in love with it! My 2nd Orient was the Mako USA 2 that I purchased from Mark over at LIW. I also ordered a polished coin edge bezel and a lume ceramic insert to go with it. I did the mod myself and it came out beautifully I must say!!! I will also say I have ordered a few watches from Jomashop and I've had nothing but great service each time!😉
I also got myself a Mako USA 2 (blue) from LIW! I work as a luxury watch photographer and I get compliments even from Submariner die hard fans. FOR $199!
@@willardhooton920 Thanks! I really enjoy it! It has been my daily for the past month now. I was also looking at the monta oceanking for awhile as a future purchase. Also had my eye on the new breitling avenger 43 automatic with the blue dial. I want a nice luxury piece to add to my collection but under a certain price. We will see how things go😉
I purchased the Orient Blue-ray II for $127 delivered on Amazon, can't beat the watch at that price. I will be adding a domed sapphire crystal and solid end links in its future.
OK, so after a month of owning this watch, I can offer something useful to the group. I love the watch in every way. Jody will give you all of the specs and such better than I can. My problem was in finding a way to make it LOOK right. It is really great looking, but the case is just too small to justify the 22mm band. Every band I tried seemed to just swallow it up and make the watch look tiny. After trying several patterns, designs and variations I found the answer. This watch needs a Ritchie black NATO with a black PVD buckle. Somehow, that strap and that color make the band appear thinner to the eye, and make the watch look like the 41mm that it is so that you can enjoy the watch. No designs. No patterns. Just black on black. Trust men this and save yourself some time and money. I tried six other bands and straps before I found the right one for this bugger.
The Orient Kamasu appears to be an updated Ray2/Mako2. Same movement and size, same bracelet at least in quality with a sapphire crystal. The Ray and Mako 2's are selling for about $120US and the Kamsau at $200+ is the crystal difference that important?
I have a question about setting the date/day: The instructions for this watch say to do it when then hands are at 12:00. But I have seen in numerous places that this exactly when one should NOT set the date/day in an automatic watch .... I was under the impression that one should do it w/ hands at about 6:30. Anyone who has this watch: what’s the safest way to set he date/day? This is my first automatic watch and I don’t want to damage the date/day fiction. [aside: this watch arrived today and is remarkable high quality. hard to believe it’s a $200 watch].
Great nice looking watch. Right size, sapphire crystal, good price. I hope the small little crown would not fail on me. It did not inspire confidence that it will last. While pushing and screwing down the crown, it did engage the winding mechanism...i have a bad feeling abt this
This watch is remarkable for all the right reasons. It spells bad news for anyone else (other than the Islander) wanting to compete in this price range. Thanks for another great review, Jody.
Why the Kamasu rather than the Mako II USA? The latter is essentially the same watch but has solid end links, drilled lugs and a slightly better bracelet. I picked up a white one recently for $199, new, so definitely in he same price range.
Having a small wrist, I prefer the wider bracelet without it tapering down, as I feel that makes the watch itself appear smaller. I have two Orient Rays, and the burgundy Komatsu will be my next.
I still don't have a Kamasu but I have an original Ray, an original Mako and two Ray 2s. Put sapphire on both of the originals and brushed out the Mako. All were scorching deals. That original Mako is still my favorite with the extra crown and one of the most worn watches for me circa 2006 to 2012, along with a smaller Seiko SNK. One is on a Strapcode and the others are on a NATO or distressed leather. On the Kamasu, I to really like that minute hand but never loved the hour hand. Not a deal-breaker and I've recommended the Kamasu to many watch newbies. Great watch for the price unless one wants to go the Steeldive or San Martin type watches.
I have the Mako II pepsi and I love Orient, great watches, quality, great looking and value for money. Really like Kamasu too, kudos to Orient for the sapphire too.
Shame they didn't send you the blue Kamasu on the diver's strap.... it's brilliant! 😍 (Also: There is no actual "Mako lll". The watch you're referring to is called the "Kano".)
Thank you for this review was going to get an skx but better lume and sapphire I bought it with the rubber band cheaper too.. 169 bucks in joma...because I know the bracelet is crap I have the mako lol. I got a divers strapcode bracelet for it best daily yet. Skx is a bit too chunky but still nice. Jodi is there a way to communicate with you if I would like to send you watches for review? I got some rare late 80s 90s watches. Or you only do new?
My mako 2 is my beater watch , I work in construction I'm a electrician and I wear it everyday for the last 2 years and it's held up great in terms of the movement, would have Lowe's to see sapphire glass and possibly a ceramic bezel , just to prevent scratches, if Pagani can do it for $100 then so can orient and Seiko
This is a pretty good watch for the price, especially as a known large brand, but I think the San Martin 62mas is much better value with solid endlinks, milled clasp, gorgeous domed sapphire Crystal, and ceramic bezel.
Indeed. I was careful to mention 'Big Brand" in the video. There is possibly better value from micros and Chinese factory brands, but you don't get the brand name. Mind you, for $200, strict budget, there isn't much that can beat this one. Cheers mate!
Although more value, I feel like these microbrands don't have a "soul" if you know what I mean. They are very...well, mechanic, made for purpose but the Kamasu actually has a heart with its small negatives..
There’s some curious chinglish used on their website, FAQ. Sets off alarm bells for me. 1. What should I do if there is water in the watch? If there is only a small amount of water vapor inside the watch, the water vapor will disappear automatically over time, or the watch will be properly heated (recommended ambient temperature is 60 degrees Celsius). After two hours, the water vapor will disappear automatically. If there are some water droplets in the watch, please do the repair as soon as possible. 2. Special instructions: The fully automatic mechanical watch relies on the movement of the arm to automatically wind the string, so it must be worn for more than eight hours a day to ensure the accuracy of the timing. Some mechanical watches can also be energized by manual winding by rotating the ring 15 times clockwise without pulling the button out. Manual and automatic mechanical watches are not automatic chains, and manual chains are not used to compensate for energy. 3. Warning: Under normal circumstances, the watch will be able to adjust the date during the period from 8:00 am to 4:00 am, and frequently adjusting the calendar during this period will cause the calendar to be damaged. Mechanical watches should be kept away from TV, computers and other magnetic fields, so as not to affect the normal operation of the watch.
Nice review as always Jody, just one thing: You referenced the Mako and how you can spot the difference, before explaining it's down to the hand set. Would have been a nice touch if you had included an image of the Mako to illustrate that.
That IS a beautiful watch!!! Seiko has positioned itself as an upgrade from their sister brand, Orient. To bad they are not actually better. I’ve worn Seiko watches for the past 40 some years, and I hate what they have become. I don’t own an Orient watch yet, but I will. I’ve been looking at a Bambino, but now I’m looking at this one too! My wife says “THANKS A LOT JODY!!!” I loved the video, Jody!!! Keep them coming and I will keep watching!
It is interesting to note there are three details which are better on my Mako USA than this watch. First, the rehaut is angled on my Mako USA rather than just flat on the watch face. Second, the crown is more substantial with no gap around it. And third, the two pressed clasp links on the Mako USA have a more attractive satin finish. Is Orient trying to save a few pennies?
Orient is quickly becoming the value brand that Seiko used to be. Love my Mako 2 and Bambino.
I have the Bambino ver 3 Gray dial that love but only wear a few times a year but at the price, it's worth it. Did just get the Rose gold Sun and Moon for Xmas which I really love as well. And I'm wearing the Triton. Orient makes great watches for the gen pop.
That Dude orients are disposable though. Once they break, they’re trash
I love my Union because it's not so common.
As do I. Completely agree with you about Orient.
Totally agree. Ray II is my daily driver, however, I need the Kamasu now.
Definitely nothing beats this if you are looking for a budget mechanical automatic. if you factor in the main points:

No micro brands or other watch brands can compete with all these factors combined based on price under $200. Yes you may find a watch in its price range that does something better but not something that does all of the above.
Had my orient Kamasu now for over 6 months and ive worn it every day, it's feel special to me and is my first step into premium watch ownership.
The lume on this watch is no joke. After putting it on the nightstand, I've woken up in the morning and still see it glowing!
Yeah, the lume is very strong. This is a very legible watch in all conditions. With a strap code bracelet, it’s a great beater/weekender.
The Kamasu came along at just the right time and its maroon dial is very nice. The sapphire crystal and the fact that the crown is screw-in keep it ahead of the new 5kx's of Seiko's.
Jim Tyler Way ahead...200m too!
It really needs the maroon because the rest of the design is rather bland.
HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOO and welcome to me-explaining-my-wife-why-i-need-one-more-watch.. :) We like you Jody!
Hahaha
I want to like but i cant 69
HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOO and welcome to me explaining my parents why I need one more watch
I have a Ray 2 which is pretty great.
The small smooth crown is a bit of a pain but good watch.
Reese Calden only without sappire glass😭😭
@@quinten1186 its a cheap watch these days, I don't mind it not having saphire.
Thank you so much for this video! Their Mako/Kamasu lineup is confusing but that little hour hand tip you gave us is a LIFESAVER! Now I don't accidentally buy a mako with mineral glass by accident!
My girlfriend keeps yelling "STOP WATCHING WATCHES!"
Same here bro
Yep. Same.
Yeah dude just got my orient 36mm but still can't stop looking at watch reviews, would buy a load more but it's not worth the ear ache.😂
Same here 😂

I have the white dial Mako II USA. $199 from LIW. Similar watch to this and excellent. Orient is indeed the new Seiko
i really hope Orient follows this trend of putting sapphire crystal on all their watches. We're looking at you bambino
Difficult to justify the extra cost of a Seiko Prospex Samurai or Turtle when you look at the specifications of this Orient.
Simon Bailey Seiko is just a more recognizable name, it’s like the people who buy Rolex over Omega simply because they know the name.
zB Matt Fair enough!
John Buckmaster The new Seiko 5? Yeah, possibly fashion ruled function with the introduction of that watch. It is a pretty thing though!
I just ordered the emerald green variant. It'll be my first automatic, and I'm quite excited. I had been eyeing Seiko's SRPE and SRPD offerings, but something just didn't click with me.
This sounds perfect, what SKX jubilee bracelet did you buy?
@@stiro536 just the stock one that came with my old Skx009. Had to do a little adjustment to the end links but not too difficult

My new Kamasu gained 1 second over 3 days and for the next 4 days of tracking stayed at 1 second fast. I have the 812L19B version, blue sunburst dial with pepsi bezel. It's an absolute beauty. I love wearing that watch. I really recommend the kamasu line to anyone wanting to get into watch collecting.
One little plus of this bracelet is the fact that it has 4 micro adjustments...I love the video! Greetings from a Dutch Orient fan!

In my eyes though, it's a $200 everyday watch. My bracelet is all scratched up from every day use, but I do enjoy the watch so much that I will end up getting a milled clasp bracelet eventually.
did you end up getting the milled bracelet and does a milled bracelet reallly male that much difference?
I just got mine last weekend. I am in LOVE with this watch. It is just awesome and is another level watch in my budget collection. It is a solid watch for sure.
Yep, this is the best entry level diver.
mr bacchus it’s the best entry level diver of all watches named Orient Kamasu
@@Ferien7 Which do you prefer?
I guess you are keeping the Kamasu if you are getting a strapcode for it. That's the highest praise. It is on my list for the next time I can get away with... Just One More Watch
My Kamasu arrived today and love it already! Got the green version and it is stunning. Looks much better in the flesh than in pictures etc.
Stellar video, I own the RayII and the Bambino 1st Generation, you are so right about the improvement on the crystal and the need for a better bracelet! I like the Kano also, it's a little more like a copy of the Black Bay.
My first ever mechanical watch purchase 1.5 yrs ago..back then people didn't have a name for it. Im so glad it ended up with a badass name 😁
Just an FYI !
when you get the jubilee could you drop an updated video on it
Jody, great review.
I purchased the Orient Mako II USA from Long Island Watch (Mark) and it is great. §199 plus another $15 off for being a 1st time customer. The USA II also has solid end links.
Any thoughts on the Mako II USA?
Thanks Jody...
James Damenti You officially got one of the best diver deals possible!!
Cheers!!!
I can't get enough of this amazing Orient Kamasu 😃👍🤩... There are so many positives to love this watch... I want it 🤣
I put my Mako II on a tropic strap and changed the look and feel of the watch completely.
Ghenghis Khan Love a tropic strap!!
It's quite cool.
how is the strapcode bracelet? does it make the watch heavier?
You say the second hand is red-tipped, but it looks orange in the video. Is that a color-balance issue? Also, do you know if the blue dial has the deep-gloss look of the blue Mako?
I've got a Ray 2 with the same style bracelet, and my endlinks are rock solid, not a single jingle out of them.
I picked this watch up for £180 in Novemeber last year and it hasn't left my wrist. Such a well rounded watch for the price. Fair to say it's more handsome in person.
Love the "Treky" Tee and the "Alarm Sound" for the "Disclosure"
I bought a blue Kamasu with a "rubber" strap, and I really like it except for the strap. It's comfy and easy to use, but it draws lint and cat hair like crazy. Currently it's on a slightly elastic NATO, which is great, but I've ordered a black vintage leather from Barton. Orient divers look great with vintage leather.
Just bought the Green dial variant. Love it... 200 dollars, on what planet. After exchange, shipping duty and taxes to Canada was $450 dollars.
Im between blue and red. What u recomand me?
@@supermeseriasu I would get the red if I could only have one. It is a real eye catcher!
@@jaysonmills6555 i change my mind i will order green.
@@supermeseriasu the green is very nice too. It's quite a vibrant colour in the sun, but it almost looks black indoors
I own the Blue Kamasu, put a leather strap on it. Wears great, movement is accurate, and the dial is gorgeous. Just another great watch from Orient
Perfect desk diver everyday work watch
It was the Sapphire crystal that tipped the scales and made me choose this one. This is another in my collection of which I am quite fond.
FOR $199!
@@visualsofisa That's awesome!👍
Isaias Sanchez Love the indigo blue/black dial on the Mako USA2- by far my favorite Orient watch!
stanmann1984 Your modified piece sounds fantastic!
The trouble is that everyone has different tastes.
Jezz, I really want kamasu, but can't deside what color i want. Blue looks better for me, but black looks better with different straps.
I measured mine at 46 lug to lug. Fits very nice on my small wrist
Have the Ray 2 in black so have just ordered this with the red dial. Fantastic value from Orient.
I got this one last year, its within COSC standards and its a sub $200 watch phenomenal
I want to know where you get your T-shirts? I love the one in this video! STAR TREK ALL THE WAY!!!
I fit a Seiko jubilee to my Mako 2 and it looks fantastic. I really wish I could get a higher quality jubilee for it though.
Hi! I have got e Citizen NY0040, I want to buy this Kamasu BUT: are they twins watches? I mean, should I buy something else instead??
Thank you!
I love my kamasu but want you replace the bracelet. Any suggestions on solid but frugal bracelets?
I have a blue one on Barton silicone...I love it I have to say!
I have the Mako II pepsi and I love Orient, great watches, quality, great looking and value for money. Really like Kamasu too, kudos to Orient for the sapphire too.
Oooooooh. Some orange ones in the winders. I love the orange ones. Something to look forward to.
Shame they didn't send you the blue Kamasu on the diver's strap.... it's brilliant! 😍
(Also: There is no actual "Mako lll". The watch you're referring to is called the "Kano".)
No long after purchase, the crown on my kamasu came off loose when pulled out to set time. Is this a common defect of orient?
The teal one (what they call green) is lovely!
The biggest upgrade is the sapphire cristal.
Great factor to buy it.
Very true, but it is as original of a design as you can get with a dive watch before looking ridiculous.
2. Special instructions:
The fully automatic mechanical watch relies on the movement of the arm to automatically wind the string, so it must be worn for more than eight hours a day to ensure the accuracy of the timing. Some mechanical watches can also be energized by manual winding by rotating the ring 15 times clockwise without pulling the button out. Manual and automatic mechanical watches are not automatic chains, and manual chains are not used to compensate for energy.
3. Warning:
Under normal circumstances, the watch will be able to adjust the date during the period from 8:00 am to 4:00 am, and frequently adjusting the calendar during this period will cause the calendar to be damaged.
Just bought one in the blue option and I’m in love with it.
